Anyone here bet on golf? I usually only bet on the Phoenix Open, and Matchplay/Ryder Cup events.
Wondering if anyone is a serial golf bettor and how you've done in your life.

I sometimes do, some memorable ones: I bet $100 on Tiger to win the Masters last year at 14/1 which was nice. I bet $100 on Tommy Fleetwood to win the US Open in 2018 at 40/1, and he lost by a stroke after tying a US Open record low score during the final round at Shinnecock. I bet $50 on Tiger to win the Zozo last year (I live in Japan so it was extra special) at 33/1.
I have $50 on Hideki at 16/1 for the WM Phoenix this weekend. I'd say I'm a little up overall, maybe plus $500 for life...I don't bet that often, maybe 5 times a year. I'll be putting money on Tiger for the Masters and the Open (WD/knee, T4 last two Opens at St George's) and maybe a long shot like Fowler or Finau for the US Open at Winged Foot.

Put a little bit on some of the bigger tourneys...but it's remarkable how fast they crash and burn when I bet them. I actually feel bad. Remember Spieths Augusta meltdown...me. Why hasn't fowler won a major...also me.
I've gone to just putting 10 or 20 on "piñata" bets where I get a random golfer at some high odds. Its never payed off but kind of fun following a golfer I probably wouldn't have before.

I don't ever just place single bets on players but I do partake in DFS for golf! I usually just put $5 on every tournament for fun. I've never hit anything huge but I'm probably up $100ish. I'm still waiting for that very luck big cashout =P

I have a few bucks on J.B. Holmes at 100:1 this week at Phoenix. Leader after 2. I also have $5 on Byeoug An to finish Top5 at 14:1. Currently he's T5. Have a chance at making some profit going into the weekend

Hey Dale,
I've bet on golf on and off for a while but got really into it this season when I realized my predictions would probably set for a profit.
I had 5 bucks in Bovada from a while back and won 100 on Cam Smith at the Sony with that money to move forward with.
The following week I had 15 on Westwood and won 600 from the Abu Dhabi. Also had 10 on Scottie Scheffler at the American Express but he came in 3rd.
Last week I had Victor Perez and Christiasn Bezuidenhout in Dubai. Perez choked the final round lead and Bez lost in a playoff. Heartbreaking there. Had Finau at Torrey but he was T6.
This week isn't looking good for me outside of Rahm. Looks like I was a week early on Perez maybe. I post my picks on my Twitter every Wednesday @tyler__Duke
But for bad news, I tried to withdraw $500 on Bovada and they told me it was my second account (didn't know that) so my winnings were ineligible. They gave me $25 back in my original account and so I'm back to square zero next week with basically no money to play with. Would've been nice having some funds to hedge and do more top 5's and top 10's and that nature.

I also started DFS golf as well. Started out putting $20 in and was up to $100 in three weeks before this week. But unfortunately my PGA lineup was horrid this week. I struggle with the Waste Management for some reason, so I'm hoping my Euro lineup does well on the weekend to make up for the all of the lost entries in PGA.
I've been much much more profitable on the Euro Tour side thus far for some reason. Cashed every week along with my Euro Tour outright bets being much more consistent.

Someday hacked my account and bet on India soccer matches and lost my $. When I talked to customer service they claimed the bets came from me and my IP, which was BS. Then they said I was trying to scam them and they locked my account and took my remaining balance. Haven’t found a new site to use since

My Book does matchups for each tournament- you can bet A or B in each match... though the Juice is AFU (Cant figure out why if you're giving strokes, the juice would be 30-60%).
At Genesis- You can bet Tiger vs J Thomas. Tiger at +0.5 strokes is -120, or you can take the moneyline at +125?? That 1/2 stroke is worth $45 on a $100 bet?? I got TW for $25 on the ML.

I did it several times, but it is too boring for me. I can recommend you some good sites where you can play poker. But in my opinion, the best option is new australian online casino. It is a pretty good and interesting online casino. To be honest, it's worth playing. I have been playing with it for some time, maybe 1 year half, more precisely I do not remember, and I never had problems or anything like that. I even made very good money. I heard that on other sites when you try to get the money there are some problems.

A man walked into the bookies I used to work in about 20 years ago near Warrington England, he asked "what price will you give me on there being and hole in one in the scottish open and british open?"...thats anyone to get an hole in one....bookie gave him 25/1 odds on each tourny, he put £20 on each bet....both tourneys there was an hole in one and the bookie felt a con...the bookie paid him the £1000 he won, the man pointed out he and a friend had been traveling round England doing the same bets all week and had made half a million on it, they worked out the actual odds should have been about even money, they took a chance doing it but they used there heads and exploited odds the bookies didn't know, story is actually here...or just Google...hole in one gang. www.bookmakers1.com/holeinonegang.html

I used to but haven't for a while.
Best ones were Schwartzel to win the Masters (2011?)@ 109/1 and Dufner to win USPGA @ 40/1 (2013?).
When Mannasero (what happened to him?) won the PGA at Wentworth I backed Kaymer I think it was. My mate asked if there was anyone else I fancied and I said "Mannasero @ 66/1" but said I was only doing one bet. Lol.
If your player is in the mix on Sunday it's a good betting medium as your money stretches out for days, unlike say horse racing where it can be gone in a minute or two.

I am a little afraid to bet on golf even if I know who is going to win. Many time golf is unpredictable and you can lose a good amount of money. I can only bet when there is Masters but this is very rare. Usually I am betting on soccer when there the championships begin. It seems times easier for me to guess which team is going to win, moreover W88 is giving me good bonuses. So I can make pretty good money only by betting, of course when it is the season. Maybe I will start to bet more on golf too.

Lol, that's the beauty of golf betting, you NEVER know who is going to win.
I enjoy a bet on the Majors mainly, only now and again bet on anything else. I tend to only back players who I would willingly cheer on, can't bring myself to bet on someone like Reed who I can't stand (or most Americans for that matter ). I tend to 'follow' certain players. Rickie Fowler is one, always liked him and he's won me a few quid each way over the years. Best hit was Danny Willett at the Masters, think I had £10 e.w. at 40/1. Watching Speith melt down on 12 was one of the most glorious 10 minutes of my life (edit: and apparently I have titaneddie to thank!)!! Funny thing was I'd also persuaded a load of mates at the pub to put a few quid on him through my account as he had been playing so well leading up to that weekend, I had to physically go to the bank to draw all the money out! I was popular that week . These days I'm always on Tommy Fleetwood (he's going to win one day), still on Fowler, and otherwise I'll pick another good player on form plus one or two from that 40-80/1 range that are worth a punt. There's always one who comes through....
That's the beauty of those fields, there's always so much good value that you can pick out half a dozen players and not spend a fortune to make it worthwhile. As long as I've got someone in the running on a Sunday evening I'm happy, and I invariably do.

How do you guys bet on golf (or sports in general)? Are there reliable websites out there you can just put your card info in? Do you actually have to go somewhere physically and place bets?
