As you may know, running a golf event is expensive, there are all sort of costs, paying staff, administrative fee, prize money and so on. My job as scheduler is to make sure all this is taken care of as well as making a profit for tgctours. So when a representative from the Estonian government approached me about hosting a tournament in their country, where they would pay all fee, but we would keep all profits, I was all ears. I knew there was a catch somewhere but with this amount of money to be made, I would be a fool not to listen. It seem there was a bit of a tourism crisis in Estonia, a small nuclear accident meant people were just not visiting. They tried the whole come see the mutated zombie like freak thing, but it did not work, so they thought a sporting event, watched by millions across the world was they way to go. They hired lessthanbread to design a golf course and what a great job he did to, it can not be easy to create a quality course while dealing with the growing of a tail. They then approached me about hosting an event there. I was a little bit worried about the radiation issues, I not only schedule these events but I also play on them but they reassured me that they had designed a one off a kind, golfer friendly hazmat suit so I could play with out any risk. That sealed the deal, so The Korn Ferry is proud to present Scorched Horizon GC in all it’s glowing glory. So have fun, good luck. Disclaimer: Tgctours is not responsible for any extra limbs or body features that may grow from the golfers body. All golfers may experience green type emissions which glow in the dark, which on a positive note, does allow play to continue late into the night. Tgctours is also not responsible from any incidents that involve mutated animals that room the wood area’s surrounding Scorched Horizon GC.

Hi all,
Thoroughly enjoyed the course!
Unfortunately, I suck at putting on fast greens and I am stupid - went for the green in two on 15 and went down the cliff into the water - so I could only card -6 in round 1.
Second round was just lovely; wind was exactly what was needed and despite a stupid bogey as a result of going into bushes and not being able to see the lie, I scored a satisfying -10.
-16 halfway Could that be enough to make the cut? I’m a little worried that the 15th in round one - or rather my lack of course management - is going to cost me.
Best wishes and good luck to all, Frans

Played the 1st round. Very nice course, loved the scorched look.
Benign conditions, made an uneventful -11, never threatened to drop a shot anywhere.
My score probably a few shots light under the circumstance tbh but very enjoyable round none the less.
Good luck all.

Finished up. Round 2 -10, sitting -21 after 2. Eagled 18th. Yay
Round 3 putter started to go luke warm towards end, round 4 was running cold as ice. Sitting on the 18th at -4 for the round I was going nowhere slowly. Nothing to loose, tried a silly approach on the 18th. Checked for the possible out of bounce, changed my mind at last moment to go for a deliberate fast downswing. Not sure if it came off.
Yay again

Bloody stupid tempo game. Been struggling all season with tempo; played 19 events in KF for 6 made cuts (32%), including last week where I got a lovely Doyley red kiss for my efforts. Had no intention of playing the Promo as I barely make cuts in KF; however on Friday night had an hour or so to kill and not needing to play my weekend KF rounds decided to play the Promo for much needed practice. I have no idea whether it was just good luck / timing or the course but I only had a couple of off-tempo swings in three of the rounds, the other one was a typical KF round for me, ended up shooting 58, 58, 65, 56 for a -51 total. So hmammoth I'm off to Euro for a couple of weeks; don't clean out my locker I'll be back once the usual tempo rounds reappear. Good luck to all KF'ers for the rest of the year, see you in a few weeks.

I did it again. I played on Sunday, right after my Dirtbag rounds.
This time however, it didn't hurt, and I fear that might get me in trouble in the coming weeks. Anyway, I'm at -20 after two, which will hopefully make the cut. Had two very solid rounds with no particular happenings.
I could have stopped, but I continued. And then I lost focus. But unfortunately, I didn't care. On the one hand, it was getting late in the evening, and on the other hand, I have a slight motivational problem when making the cut. Currently, making the cut is the only goal I set myself, as I feel comfortable here and don't see myself competing in one of the top leagues. I'm not sure what to do about it. Maybe somebody has suggestions? Perhaps I should focus more on possible rivalries with fellow Dirtbags. I don't know...
See you next week, good luck!
Oh, I almost forgot to post my scores: -10, -10, -6, -4.

Best wishes Frans

Two and done for me. It was all going so well too! Decent -10 in the first round and was then -6 thru 11 in the second. Then for the second week in a row I lost my tempo half way through the second round. Really frustrating. Still scrambled a few pars until it all came undone on the 14th. Decided to lay up off the tee and trickled in to the cabbage, pretty inexcusable really. It meant I couldn't reach so hit my second in to more cabbage just to make life interesting. It left me with a perfect GW to try and save par which is great because I don't have one. Tried lofting a PW in to the wind but hit it fast which left me an 80 footer. Actually hit a pretty good lag from there and should have made bogey, but no. After I'd actually putted ok for the most part I decided to play tippy tap round the pin and ended up with a week ruining 7. Back to -3 and out of it. Stupid game!!
Interesting course, I was intrigued by the speckled effect of the lighting through the trees, not sure I've ever seen that before? Looked almost mystical. Good luck all, especially the newbies. I notice we've got one from CCE, that's quite a leap! See you next week.

Seeing as no one is breaking any records I think i’ll Add ‘best thread sentence’ to the records list, this will take some beating...

I normally keep an eye out for you on the leaderboard anyway, there aren’t many Luxembourg flags on TGC so you aren’t hard to find!!

Similar story here actually. Played all 4 rounds last night, as planned. But after being sure I made the cut it was hard to care very much. I won't win and I could fight for a promo mark but I miss cuts enough that I won't ever get promoted (as I shouldn't). -11, -10, -7, -3. I will say it is usually my first instinct to complain about the course. But this course is just fantastic. My favorite I've played in a while.

Maybe somebody has suggestions? Perhaps I should focus more on possible rivalries with fellow Dirtbags. I don't know... Same here Kevin, I find a lack in motivation too. Its just not the same as when one knows up front all 4 will count. Then i'll always be motivated to fight back when 1 and 2 goes bad. If 1 and 2 goes well, then I have motivation to keep it going. With a cut line, 1 and 2 goes bad, no point in continuing. 1 and 2 goes ok, then yay - mission sort of accomplished - and just play out because one has to. Most of the time I feel unsure about making the cut, then it is even worse - I play not knowing if it will count, zero motivation. I wait to make sure it will count and play Thursday or later, believe me then I just play to avoid a dq/wd, 'cos by that time in the week I always feel 'forced' to play instead of wanting to play. Perhaps there is a case for a little local rivalry as you said? Starting next week - I have you beat this week already! Frans, we'll probably just cheer him on for now to try and make the cut more often fransslabak And anyone else who is interested

Utter rubbish. -6/-9. At least 4 short of the cut.
Nice course and nice conditions that gave us a chance, but you still need to hole putts when the course is like this one. Very unique lighting, tree ‘lights’ and course set-up ie back to back Par 5’s and 3’s.
See you next week
