My plan was to switch to masters when I get to the cc Pro level.
However if I do that I will most likely be demoted quickly
To combat that I would still play pro in tour matches and master in practice matches.
Will this affect my pro tour game or if I get good at masters does it just make pro easier

Make the switch, stick with it and take your lumps I think. Eventually you'll get good enough to be competitive. I tried the same thing and found switching between the two too inconsistent.

I played first rounds with matters clubs tonight and had no issues with tempo.
What I couldn't work out was the inconsistencies with the wind affecting the ball and the break on the putts seemed all over the place. Done went straight on when there was a hill some broke 3x more than they should.
Does masters Cubs affect putting our wind effect?

Last season I started with Pro clubs. I had always found them relatively easy to play with, and was a bit jealous of those playing Masters clubs. So before the new season began, I played the PGA career using Masters. It was frustrating as hell, but I started getting used them. At first, I'd have at least a dozen VF downswings every round. But I didn't give up. Started this new season with Masters and have never looked back. This weeks CC-E, I shot -36 with only 1 bogey, I will never go back to Pro clubs.
This may sound like overkill, but before every round I hit the driving range and try to get a perfect/perfect for every club...then move onto 10-15 flop shots.
You'll get used to them, just commit and practice.

I didn't have any issues with tempo at all
Mostly P/P
Could hit fast when I wanted.
Maybe 3 times I went slow when I didn't want to.
And this is going to sound stupid but the putter sound is horrible

This is my progression with masters clubs tonight. I have found a technique that is giving me more consistent straight swing lines. Just need to do some repetition now. I will keep playing tgc tours with pro for now as this technique will also be better for pro but I have 2 or 3 societies that I'm going to play masters in for the practice. (I can't play driving range, I find it boring. If rather be play a course poorly that hit repetitive shots on a range) Once I'm consistently hitting under par with masters I'll make the switch permanently

PS4
I played a couple rounds this morning I. The TMT society and my god I was crap.
I completely forgot how to swing and putting was atrocious.
My tgct events will still be pro clubs for a while yet

I made the switch a week ago. I am committing to it and sticking with it. I finally had my first -10 round with Masters clubs. I am currently in CC-A and have been doing well (a couple top 10s) with Pro clubs, but I know I will be demoted soon when playing with Masters.
But I find it is making the game more enjoyable and I like the new challenge.
More spin and putting and chipping and have been the hardest things to get used to. My tempo of full shots is 80% P/P already and getting better. I am finally getting the feel of the Master putter.

I switched at the start of the year. I will never be as good a player as i was with pro clubs but all my friends play masters and i enjoy playing with them more than anything. Did play on PS4 for a bit but went back to xbox cos my friends play there. Never regretted it.

What I couldn't work out was the inconsistencies with the wind affecting the ball and the break on the putts seemed all over the place. Done went straight on when there was a hill some broke 3x more than they should. I believe the official word (I remember seeing it, but I don't have sources, so it's possible I'm mistaken on some details) ... from the developers is that wind has the same effect regardless of club set and has zero effect on putting; however, your stance does have a greater effect (and/or penalty) with master clubs. So, always check the ground your standing on and adjust to the angle of the slope you're on. The penalty for being off-center with your shot (push/pull) is more severe than with pro clubs on sloped (yellow/red) ground. Putting is a bit more sensitive with master clubs as well, simply because the cone (blue line in swing meter) is more narrow on master clubs, but the behavior of the greens don't change any (the physics of the slopes). The largest factor for greens are the course conditions, eg. soft/slow greens vs. firm/fast greens ... while very firm/very fast greens feel more like ice skating than putting.

Funnily enough I had a couple of rounds with master's yesterday and had none of the issues mentioned above.
Sure I still want as consistent but over the 4 rounds I played I was under par.
The day before I think I shot in excess of 30 over.
I think I have found my swing and a couple of weeks practice should give me the consistency to switch permanently

My transition to masters clubs is going well. I am now consistently hitting below par every round. still have to work on my putting. my swing line when putting is all over the place and in pro clubs its doesnt really affect it but im missing simple putts on masters.
The way I am tracking in the challenge circuit, i am looking on target to be ready for masters when i get in to CCD.

You could try intentional pushing/pulling putts - I've been doing that since the old Links series. I always miss into the slope of the putt and account for it in my aim. This way I can avoid an accidental pull on a right to left putt, as it seems to me that missing with the slope leads to a more severe impact on the putting line. I wish we had a way to intentionally hit putts off the toe - I do that IRL for fast downhill putts to take some speed off without having to shorten my putting stroke overly much.

Well I think I'm ready to make the switch.
I played one event today that was 2 rounds. First round pro clubs for -3 second round masters for -6.
I also got -19 for 2 in another event and a -11 on another course with masters.
I'm not sure there is any reason to play pro clubs any more.
I'll give them a go next week and see what happens
