I'd like for this thread to be a great place for 19th hole talk. Fair game discussions in this thread include, but are not limited to: - favorite scotches, whiskys, and bourbons - favorite beers, wines, cordials, and cocktails - favorite cigars - tall tales from your recent rounds in the golf club - the week's recent action in sport - etc. Things off limits - politics and religion. I'll get it started: I'm currently sipping a 12 y/o Balvenie Double Wood. A sweeter, vanilla/caramel dram that could pass for a bourbon (aged in ex-bourbon and sherry casks), but lacking a little on the finish. Not much bite and far too short. Decent scotch for the price point! I'd recommend you give it a try. Cheers

Who here likes pumpkin beer? I'd so. What are your favorites. Currently mine are pump-king, shipyard pumpkin, and the one by aviator. Cottonwood and Catawba brews are nice if you're around nc.

Talisker, JW, Talisker. Best scotch going though it's strong taste not liked by all.

Talisker, JW, Talisker. Best scotch going though it's strong taste not liked by all. Is it comparable to Laphroaig? I don't mind peat and smoke, but Laphroaig was not my favorite. Almost medicinal in aroma and the peat dominates to the point that I couldn't discern anything else. Even a drop of water didn't open it up for me. That said, I'm always game to try a new dram.

Also, please make a sacrifice to your deity of choice for Megatron's sake, I need him back in my fantasy lineup, asap.

But I will do what you ask if you do the same to make Matt Stafford .. Orton esque.

My preference is Seagrams VO. I haven't ventured much into the Scotch world.
Mitch - I need help with Stafford as well. I have him on two teams right now.

I'm a Woodford Reserve fan. Usually served room temp, sometimes on ice but only on with those clear, plastic cubes that don't water down the bourbon. Also running through a lemon-lime Hefeweizen from Eagle Creek Brewing. www.eaglecreekbrewingco.com/

Being Irish i tend to go with Jameson a lot, but i love Glenfiddich. The older the better but the bottom of the line is all good. Try it and i promise you won't be disappointed.

Glenkinchie - the Distillers Edition...when you can find it. I'm digging the new Guinness beer...Blonde American Lager. It's being made in the old Rolling Rock brewery in Latrobe, PA.
