Well, I have the flu. π’π’
I called in to work because KC won! ππ
I decided to hurry and get these out of the way. ππ
I have to bear down on me WCoD course that's nearing completion. π¬π¬
Besides, this course and I don't seem to mesh well. ππ
Having said all that...
I improved in every round. ππ
Lol'd my way to a -10 in the 1st. ππ
Greens annoyed me. Swing annoyed me. ππ
Hit some laughable shots and all around fun times were had. ππ
I managed a -12 in the 2nd. π²π²
Slightly better than average here. ππ
Hit some dumb shots and putts. ππ
Held it together ok. ππ
-22 at the cut. ππ
Assuming that will be safe since the course has baby fangs. ππ
Managed to go -29 over me last 36 holes. ππ
Round 3 in at -14. ππ
Hit the ball a ton better. ππ
Made some nasty putts. ππ
Put myself in some terrible spots, but I prevailed. π¬π¬
Round 4 in at -15! π²π²
About as well as I could've hoped. ππ
Made some great reads. ππ
Hit some amazing shots. ππ
Lipped an eagle from the fringe. π π
Made a 5 on a 5. ππ
Had an ace. ππ
Finished up at -51 and sit atop the PS4 board for the moment. ππ
Not sure why 12 was so lagged? However, that IS where I made my ace in the 4th. I'm pretty sure I birdied it the other 3 rounds. Just so choppy. I had lag on some other holes as well. Meh. I also felt like the greens were liars. I missed an 8-foot eagle because it broke uphill. Oops. Missed some other questionable things. Had 1 or 2 bogies thrown in for good measure. Even played from the rocks on 18. ππ
I know I'll get surpassed and that's ok. I've been playing really well for the most part lately. I couldn't ask for more to be honest. Maybe the Doublemint Twins won't scout very well for one another and the other flickers will be less...flicky.
Winner gets to -53.
Good luck all! ππ

Well, my worst performance on PGA, by a massive margin. *** I've really been fighting my swing this past month or so ***, unable to get a straight backswing, pulling loads of putts, in to out to in swing lines (like a banana) that leave you 15 yards off target and adjustments all seemed to be so severe that it made things worse... wasn't looking forward to this and with a throat like glass and the beginnings of a chest infection, off I went. Usually, I'm bang on with tempo and I rely on it for FF drives so often, but by putting so much into my efforts on the swing rectification efforts, I was missing tempo left right and centre... Quickly got to +2, lipped a lot of putts, made some stupid mistakes and finished up -3. Missed cut on the cards, meh. So, off we go in R2 - Unspectacular... -4 thru 7, similar to R1, but fared a little better, missed some very getable putts, but was playing ok. Nailed this... So I'm thinking... Ok, let's knuckle down and see if we can save some face. Then I did this ON THE VERY NEXT HOLE - A combination of, feeling sh%$, miscalculating the math regards elevation, using my phone to post on the forum about the logic of the countback system, and then as things progressed, giving approximately zero fux... Apologies for the length of the pauses... I was genuinely flabbergasted and just wondering what the hell I was doing. Didn't even realise it was an underwater lie I was so busy shaking my head... But WHAT A PUTT!!!!!! Mailed it in after that and carded another -3 for -6 at the cut See you next week!!! *** Had been wondering about my controller, as it's become an exercise in torture even trying to putt straight... Tried a new one last night - BING! Like a different game, so you never know, I might get to double figures under par next week ***

Agreed! Itβd have taken me 20 rounds!!! Might be the first time Iβve seen you two in agreement. I'm vying for 2020's Comeback Person of the Year award if we have one of those trophies to give out at the end of the year.

Well, your luck could be in, as Doyley has just landed back in the viperβs nest, so if youβre prepared to put the work in, you never know. Iβve heard he likes it when you stroke his ears, but he fully expects to be wined and dined before heβll let you put your hand up his top to play with his mechanisms...

I find adjusting pillows or my legs or even the angle I sit affects swing lines. I'm just now trying sitting up with my right knee up with my left leg akimbo or whatever with the controller parrallel to my left thigh. I think I've lost my tail off to the right swing finally. My left elbow is on the arm of the couch/chase thing and the controller is just resting on my stomach.

Completely trolled this week. The course was laggy, and that created tempo issues at critical times for me. This was the worst that I have played in quite some time. Putts that should break didn't, and then on the opposite side of the hole the lines were moving the opposite way. Just weird in a lot of ways for me. Missed cut and on to next week. I actually likes the layout of the course, but hard to get past the weirdness in game for me.
Best of luck to everyone yet to play or finish.

Doesnβt, or should I say didnβt really seem to make a difference, however I adjusted, only that it might work for a swing, but then Iβd over adjusted. I have a position Iβm comfortable playing and drinking in, and a slight movement here or there is usually enough to sort it, but not this time. That led me to, in the end, believe there was something up with the pad, and at least in a sample 18 last night the new one was MUCH better... so weβll see.

Round 1:
I've been fighting this for a while, but I think it's officially time, can't really deny the impact it's having on even my putting - I need a new controller. I've known my analog stick is looser than [insert joke here], but I really didn't want to spend the money on a new one until it because obvious...well, that's happened. Much like Fadge mentioned above, I've had this really odd loop in my backswing that I just can't sort out, but now I can't even hit putts on line what seems like half the time, so I think I've reached the point of no return. Was kind of reassuring in a very odd way to read someone else having what sounded like the same problem, because it's honestly something I've never experienced in this game and just couldn't figure out what the hell was happening. I guess being able to trigger input on your analog stick from breathing on it - which no joke, I can do based on the config/calibration setup in-game on the only other game I really have time to play now-and-then these days - is probably not ideal.
Finished with something like -8 or -9, will be an uphill journey to make the cut - but hell, it wouldn't be the first I've missed on a course I at least designed in part, weird how that happens on courses that I've played waaaay more than any others in this game through testing.

I wasnβt even going to post but.,.played R1 and right away curled a putt around the lip and that was the theme the rest of the round. I too had to get a new controller but it was a couple weeks ago. The tempo is better but I am struggling with putt touch now. I can bang in the straight ones fine but benders are tricky now. I think the stiffness of the new sticks is causing my issues. Then R2 was going along and put one in the water then proceeded to 3-putt. Pretty much mailed it in then and speed played the back. This game is becoming increasingly more annoying for me. Think I need a short break to recalibrate.

I can relate to the new controller talk from everyone. It's insane how big a difference it can make.
BUT, to show how crazy the swing is on this game, I got a new controller close to a year back and it was AWFUL on TGC. From the very first swing it had the nastiest pull on every swing no matter what I did. And I'll reemphasize that hitting the ball really really straight is basically my only strong suit on this game. Mediocre putter, fairly mediocre distance control, but I can swing straight as an arrow on any golf game dating back to Tiger Woods. But that new controller was completely worthless. I couldn't hit fairways or greens. I fought the new controller for months trying to fix it and not waste more money but I finally gave in last month and my first two tournaments with the newer new controller were T8, T8. It swings it straight as hell. Other new controller now just sits there in fine condition but useless.
So it's basically just a complete guessing game on if a new controller even plays well on TGC. Pretty fun huh.

Happy with my first round of -11, especially since I bogeyed the first hole. Looking ok in the second at -4 after 8, then the 9th hole came! Got a fast downswing to just hit the slope and ended up on the rocks (no Scotch in sight). Finally putted for an 8π€¬. Lost that hole, lost my confidence, lost the round, lost my slim chance at making the cut. πππ
