No need to be diplomatic about this, but when you’ve been “Sayonara’d” 4 times each, this year alone, you really are going some. Congrats Hrabec and Momo... Jesus... All this talk about the World Tour? Parallel PGA and Euro Tours? Just like old times? Here’s an idea... Flickers tour. Playing a different game so give them their own tour. Won’t ever happen but a guy can dream... I believe the thought is that the World Tour idea would be a high % of flickers in it. Then the ideas and nostalgia just snowballed from there.

I still say make a WT so the super elite can endlessly battle themselves in any way they desire. Make a second tour like the PGA that can play in majors and such, mirroring the WT. We of the not-so-quite-elite are many more and can have many more awesome battles where we might actually feel we can win one every now and then. Sadly there is just a level of current play that below it, you simply have no chance, so all we are are seat fillers to fill out a tournament.

-6 in R3 with some shady putting in the first 6 or so holes. May or may not go for my R4 in a few... we shall see.

I finished up with
-10 -12
-42 overall.
If - 20 makes the cut I am expecting a whopping Top 60.
The scores are really good. I just cannot compete with the Top 40 or Top 50. It isn't only the long game (where flickers have the biggest advantage). I regularly miss at least two putts inside 10 feet per round. Doesn't cut it.
The game bores me to be honest. It isn't a good golf simulation, it is simply too easy.
Although I enjoy my rounds at TGCT... they are the only ones that I am playing. Ten shots on the range to warm up, two rounds on Sunday, two rounds if I make the cut later in the week and this is it.
Not shabby to even stay on the top tour without "putting the work in". Doesn't help my motivation that I am 15 to 20 shots off the lead after 72 holes regularly.

I see Ronda must have went no flick this week.

I see Ronda must have went no flick this week. Maybe he will go into flick-therapy similar to Tiger in 2010 and come back at the Masters for a T-6. Wait he’s out of the Masters isn’t he? 🤔

So dull playing golf where a couple pars and you are in 30th and a few more and you miss the cut. It is what it is, any game without updates and changes will eventually be dominated by the geeks playing 24/7 If HB had continuously updated or patched this game they could have stayed ahead of the exploits and made parts of the game more challenging like the tee shot.

Won’t ever happen but a guy can dream... I believe the thought is that the World Tour idea would be a high % of flickers in it. Then the ideas and nostalgia just snowballed from there. I was nostalgic for the ability to cross over and play a different course, nothing more.
But if we can't have the joint top tours they way it's currently setup is pretty much optimum IMO.
Personally get quite sick of the "I can't compete" arguments. There has ALWAYS been an elite group of 10-20 players who win most of the time, then a group just below who can very occasionally challenge. It's no different now, except for that some of the 10-20 are separated by something other than ability.
Is that irksome? Yes
Does it fundamentally change what most PGA players are aiming for each week (make cuts, beat rivals, make the majors, have fun)? Not one bit
You could remove the flickers tomorrow and 50% of PGA players would still have zero chance of winning.
What has most bothered me this season has been course selection/setup that at least 50% of the time massively benefits the flickers at the expense of the "conventional" players. Courses that are just no fun to play unless you're ridiculously accurate.
Personally I enjoyed finishing 50th @ the Sandbelt (winning score -69) a hell of a lot more than finishing higher playing some of the monstrosities we've had to endure where being 2 yards offline or just off tempo puts you in triple bogey territory five or six times a round.
Some people will tell you that those courses level the playing field by bringing down the number you need to make a cut or whatever. Don't buy that personally.

Come and join TST Frank - much more enjoyable playing that than PGA rounds - and even some of us non-flicking medium players are able to win occasionally......and compete for top 5s/10s regularly... And I even schedule nice courses for TST (some (most?) of the time) - I even heard a (unsubstantiated) rumour that AFCTUJacko actually liked one or two of my picks.........ok - it was only one (I don't want to exaggerate )

You had me at "course selection". Although it's that combined with clown setups. The good news? A lot of this is within our (commmunity) control. HB and their stupid buggy game is not.
