Designers are a funny bunch, some might even use the word special. We have many different types of designers here on tgctours, we have designers that spend hours on the smallest details, we have designers that produce courses quickly and efficiently. There are designers that like to trace other peoples courses, I think that’s called lidar. There are designers that like to do it while others are watching and there is one big name designer that like to design in the nude while covered in baby oil. Despite all this, there is one thing all designers have in common, they are all egotistical, pretentious twats. This week’s designers rjwils30 gives another example of just that with the naming of his course, Falling Water. You know Rob, we have a lot of falling water here in Ireland, we call it rain. In fact, as I write this, there is water falling from the sky right now and it’s still called rain. If I go to the pub later and start talking about the falling water, the barman would say I had to much to drink all ready. Designers but what can you do, with out them and their strange habits, we would be stuck playing the same six official courses over and over, what a nightmare that would be. Rain is a fantastic course, a favourite of many and one I have also wanted to use on The American Nu metal band riding on a boat that transports passengers and goods across a short stretch of water so we can take a journey to play in several different places( taking a page from Robs book, this is what The Korn Ferry Tour will be called from now on.) I am thrilled that we get to play Rain this week, so have fun and good luck to all.

First round, I was playing patiently and sitting at -6 after 15... then the doorbell rang and could only resume an hour later; all tempo gone and two bogeys ruined my round: -5
Second round: solid yet unspectacular: -9
-14 halfway... wel, those two bogeys might very well make it the end instead of halfway for me...
Course is lovely!
Best wishes and good luck to all, Frans

I think I played about 3 holes of this one in the Promotion Event last season, before realising that my game (at that time) was nowhere near good enough to stand up to the challenge. It's taken that year to try and figure out how to play this game on Xbox and I still get varied results but I feel like I'm in a much better place now to give it a go. Looking forward to it, the course is a stunner .
Bring on the rain! Good luck all, be the ball!

Haven’t posted in a couple weeks because of poor play and being busy around the holidays.
But this morning I played the first 2 rounds and am excited to be able to make a cut finally. For me, the front nine played rather easy, and the back nine difficult.
Round 1: Front -7, Back -3 Round 2: Front -7, Back -4
-21 thru 36.
Despite the better play this week, I still don’t really like playing this course. Really it just comes down to the flowing water which shows up everywhere. Lags fairly bad on my Xbox. Didn’t seem to have a huge affect on the tempo, though. Just the laggy visuals.

Hello,
Glad to be back! I took two weeks off from writing, as I usually write at work, from where I took two weeks off. I hope this is a plausible English sentence.
Anyway, I didn't stop playing, and I'm happy to have cleared the two red marks I received going into the holidays by making the cut twice. Thus, I'm really looking forward to miss this week's cut or maybe even replenish my red tick account, as three made cuts in a row would be slightly daring.

Lol up mup kupen nup, very plausible! Congrats on clearing the red marks I didn't have a great week in any society last week despite making the cut, this week has started a lot better! Played 2 and confident I've got plenty for 2 more. Made a great start in the first round, after an eagle at 8 got me to -7 I was flying. Had a bit of a wobble then, missed a stupidly short birdie putt on 9 by not looking at it properly, the tough pin on 12 got me for a dropped shot and then a loss of tempo on 13 - VF off the tee in to the bunker, laid up then had a laggy VS backswing on my pitch with left me with a 94 foot putt! To be fair did well to 2-putt for just a bogey. Birdies at the last 2 turned an average round in to a decent 62. Second round didn't start as well, another loss of concentration on a short putt cost me a bogey at 4, I really must start looking at those, only myself to blame. But played pretty well on the whole and even managed to chip in 3 times, that's like a month's worth for me! 62 and 61 to sit at -21. I'm predicting -16 for the cut but pretty sure I'm very safe to carry on. Love the course, it gives you so many chances to score but not without risk. Certainly enjoyed it a lot more than last year when I couldn't keep the ball on the short stuff.

Guess I will start my journey BACK to CC-F. Started clean -4 first nine then kablooey to only go -3 over the next 27 holes.
-7 through 2 rounds, looking like double red territory.
Then again, we will have to wait till The Grey Matter Cup as I will be out of town till then. Maybe the extended layoff will help my game.
Onward Gents!

Sitting at -13 after 2 and 99% certain of not making it any further. A bit of a bummer as i enjoyed the course a lot.
My putter and i were on different planets in both rounds, stats say a whopping 31 taken in round 1 and i doubt round 2 will be much - if any - better. Hoping its only a temporary disconnect as the putter is the only thing that is half ok with my game.
Nice top 10 there last week Frans!

Art Vandelay I'm sure your hiatus will help you to regain your focus. Sometimes you need to be a little patient until you find the rhythm. Giraffe72 You chipped in 3 times? Are you serious? Last time I had three chip-ins on 18 holes was back in TGC2 days. I absolutely cannot decipher chipping in this game, as I find it extremely hard to hit the ball straight. A -21 halftime score isn't bad either! I played all four rounds yesterday, and in contrast to last week, where I was convinced that -12 will never ever make the cut and hence just rushed through the final two rounds, I remained concentrated until the end. Because, yes guys, I will probably complete a turkey this week by making three cuts in a row! Whooho. All four rounds were pleasantly unspectacular, since, in terms of my approach game, the artist was present. Once, after an unintentional VF downswing got me in trouble, as I was on a steep hill behind a tree, I even managed to pull off a nice trick shot by fully fading my pitch shot around the tree and landing it about 10 ft away from the hole. Apart from that, my third round was a little odd, as I started "wéi vum Lämmes gebass", as we say in Luxembourg, with -8 in the first half and then added only the mandatory two birds on par 5s on the back nine. Anyway, as you might have already derived from the undertone of my report, I'm more than happy with my -8, -9, -10, and -9 to finish the week at -36, which I think is my best score so far in KF.

Haweye1942... -11 on the front 9, including an albatross on the 1st. Just wow!

That was the best 9 holes I have played to date and was my first albatross! But never fear, I come back down to earth in round two with a weak -3. I may start breaking up when I play my rounds. I have struggled of late with having a great round and then an anemic one. My thought was always to let the momentum ride and play the next round, but I may try to mix that up in future.
