This is Bogeyman Pete, one of your roving reporters covering the DB Ryder Cup. Rose from my hotel bed early this morning and made my way down to the first tee. Course looks in fine shape and course director cathalos1991 has done a sterling job. Hopefully he's given his ground staff the word to make things tough for the Yanks/Canucks etc. etc. Not that I'm biased of course. That would never do! I'm completely neutral as a good reporter should be. I can tell you winds are low and from the North and there is light cloud about. Maybe a sign of things to come - rain on the horizon? A little later (not much) I ran into Paddy O'Toole in the members bar. Paddy is head greenskeeper and after 10 pints of Guiness he let it slip that greens are fast and firm. Have fun on those spaghetti thin fairways Dirtbags and may R.O.W. (errrr best team sorry) win.

When staying at the hotel , I tipped the bell boy to call all our North American friends at 3.30am this morning just to check if they needed anything.

I typically invite a few ladies back to my room to keep the party going after last call. More often than not, this leads to my seeing the sunrise. Your 3:30 wake up call caused me to get them out and log a few solid hours of sack time.

Please read..... If at all possible, in order for the tournament to run smoothly, I'd like to have Rounds 1 & 2 completed by Wednesday evening. Please let me know if you are unable to fit this into your schedule.
Thank you in anticipation

First two rounds are in, and although I struggled mightily in R1 as usual I did have 8 birdies, so hopefully that helps my team. In R2 my score was much lower and had plenty of under par holes!

Bogeyman Pete back with Day 2 course conditions. Not much to report me hearties. Very similar conditions to Day 1 and there are some very low scores coming in. Expect more of the same. Caught up with Paddy, in the bar again. He was even more inebriated than yesterday and today he's telling me all the ground staff were praying to God (TGCT Schedulers ) for gentle conditions in the tournament to offset the narrow fairways. Looks like the prayers worked!
