RESULTS THREAD
Going to use this for personal use as my results thread. I'm sure others will be interested and I want to see how scores work on certain handicap ratings.
One thing to note, on tournaments you sim/withdraw from, you can only see the top 4. If you play in it, you can review the full leaderboard. I'll show top 10 for tourneys I play and top 4 for those I don't.
Tribute at The Greenbrier/Greenbrier CC East 80 Handicap - This result was a bit disappointing. The CPU struggled heavily here and I ran away with it more than I'd ever like to.
1. Me -7
2. Justin Rose +7
3. Andrea Pavan +9
T4. Brandt Snedeker +10
T4. Daniel Berger +10
T4. Kramer Hickok +10
7. Wes Roach +11
T8. Tiger Woods +12
T8. Abraham Ancer +12
T8. Luke List +12
Sanderson Farms/CC of Jackson 75 Handicap DNP - Solid scores from this one, but I didn't play in it.
1. Patrick Cantlay -23
T2. Henrik Stenson -16
T2. Henry Higgs -16
4. Austin Cook -15
Safeway Open/Stags Leap at Napa Valley 77ish Handicap? DNP - Also skipped this one out, scores were really solid and sim like here.
1. Branden Grace -12
T2. Brooks Koepka -9
T2. Dylan Frittelli -9
T4. Justin Rose -7
Shriners Hospitals Open/TPC Summerlin 72 Handicap DNP - Not a fan of the course so I skipped it, CPU went LOW, lower than I'd like to see. I think the slope rating also factors into CPU scoring as this course has like a 137 which is low.
1. Rory Sabbatini -43
2. Louis Oosthuizen -36
3. Phil Mickelson -32
4. Patton Kizzire -31
Houston Open/GC of Houston 73 Handicap - This tournament went well. The scores are just a tad low but it's nothing too absurd. I was never in true contention here which felt really cool personally.
1. Andy Sullivan -34
2. Dylan Frittelli -31 (on a roll)
3. Jason Kokrak -27
4. Cameron Smith -26
T5. Me -25
T5. Brooks Koepka -25
T5. Marc Leishman -25
T5. Zhang Xinjun -25
T5. Zach Johnson -25
10. Rickie Fowler -23
THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES/Silvershire CC 72 Handicap 44 Slope Rating DNP - I actually planned on playing here but forgot to edit course conditions and decided to sim it. Solid scores which is surprising with the low handicap rating but it has a higher slope rating. Keeping an eye on that.
1. Rikuya Hoshino -16
2. Keegan Bradley -15
T3. Scott Langley -14
T3. Chesson Hadley -14
ZOZO Championship/Bois du Midi Golf Club 74 Handicap 40 Slope Rating - This was a wild tourney. Great course, but I wouldn't really recommend it without green grids on. I really struggled on the greens.
1. Danny Willett -10
2. Patrick Cantlay -8
T3. Zack Sucher -7
T3. Adam Hadwin -7
T3. Julian Suri -7
T3. Marcus Kinhult -7
T7. Sung Kang -6
T7. Shawn Stefani -6
T9. Jordan Spieth -5
T9. Rickie Fowler -5
T23. Me -2
WGC-HSBC Champions/Das eilte 74 Handicap 49 Slope Rating - Solid tournament that I went out and lead in through all four rounds. The CPU struggled a bit here but it was a pretty straightforward track to me. Cantlay made a run at me late but I got my second win of the year.
1. Me -16
2. Patrick Cantlay -13
T3. Brooks Koepka -9
T3. Kiradech Aphibarnrat -9
5. Troy Merritt -8
T6. Justin Rose -6
T6. Lee Westwood -6
T6. Brandon Stone
T9. Jason Day -5
T9. Rory Sabbatini -5 (WTF, this guy is playing well)
Alternate Event - Bermuda Championship - Something to watch here. I'm not sure my event qualifications for the WGC and the alternate event worked. I capped the WGC field at 150 in points but the regular 156 played. It shows me as playing in the alternate event and coming in T129 with the same score I shot in the WGC. Hope it was a glitch and it usually works because it'd be a bummer if the event requirements didn't work. I thought it was one of the coolest features to have special fields for big tournaments. But it's clear that the alternate event was played and the guys at the top of the leaderboard didn't play in the WGC.
1. Alexander Levy -34
T2. Adrian Otaegui -29
T2. Sam Ryder -29
T2. Jonathan Byrd -29
Mayakoba Classic/Privateer Point - TGCT 75 Handicap 68 Slope Rating - Sat this one out. Nobody can stop Cantlay. Course seemed to play hard. Powerhouse leaderboard.
1. Patrick Cantlay -10
2. Phil Mickelson -9
3. Bryson DeChambeau -6
T4. Byeong Hun An -5
The RSM Classic/The Club at Pelion Marsh 75 Handicap 86 Slope Rating - Fun tournament and a really great course for this event. Played well throughout. Cantlay continues to be insane, I wish I could slow him down as this is Tiger levels of dominance.
1. Martin Kaymer -21
2. Me -20
3. Patrick Cantlay -18
T4. Sergio Garcia -14
T4. Emiliano Grillo -14
T4. Mikko Korhonen -14
T7. Lucas Glover -13
T7. Alexander Bjork -13
T7. Brad Kennedy -13
T7. Tony Finau -13
Hero World Challenge/Albany G.C 75 Handicap 110 Slope Rating - So my fears were confirmed. The event requirements are only valid toward the user and not the CPU members, which makes no sense. So there's not much use in them. I still recommend using alternate events so the bad players get to play, but the event requirements just don't work and all main events appear to be filled with 157 players no matter what. Unfortunate. I simmed this event once figuring that out.
1. Sihwan Kim -34
2. Sanghyun Park -26
3. Erik van Rooyen -25
4. Bryson DeChambeau -21
Sentry Tournament of Champions/Kapalua Plantation Course 73 Handicap 66 Slope Rating - Ended up not playing this since my motivation was down because of the tournament requirements not working properly. Not a fan of Kapalua really so I sat it out after an opening 65. Scores were solid overall.
1. J.B. Holmes -26
2. Tyler McCumber -25
T3. Martin Kaymer -24 (Hot streak)
T3. Haotong Li -24
