Might as well avoid any confusion and get back to a weekly thread.
My 1st round sucked as no matter what I did I could never get the ball close to the hole. Played it like I normally would and the ball just rolled past the hole and didn't stop until it was off the green. Clubbed down or lofted and the ball landed well short with almost no roll. Think I managed a -5 and that was only possible thanks to sinking a 45ft. putt along the way.

Nearly 6:30 am here. Time to go down the street, wake up the old lady, take her cats and knitting needle and play my rounds.

No worries. S word happens. I'm not bent out of shape over it.
Just wish I could have taken a Phill. <--run up and putt it while it was rolling back. lol
6 and 14 on round 2 is where to watch out for those about to play yet.
Don't know about the rounds 3 and 4..never played them yet..

Best strategy:
Sink the approach shot. 😂

Don't know about the rounds 3 and 4..never played them yet.. I played the first couple of holes of round 3 and the greens are 144. Hole 6 I had a nice, close approach shot just up the hill from the hole but watched as it slowly rolled past the hole to the same spot as everyone else. Just played it with no break and walloped the thing and holed out the birdie. Another -5 to add to the one from round 1 and at this point I'm happy with that. It's not the greatest way to keep scores down, but as long as we don't go back-to-back courses like this I'm not too upset or annoyed by it.

That being said, it's been a while since i've had a birdie putt less than 10 feet where I'm thinking 'hole this or you're looking at double bogey' lol

Yea I own this one... you pointed out the two holes to me and I made a note about green speed, but I must have messed up the green speeds when submitting them.

I did point that out while rangering. I did also say I'd let it go as is, although I'm going to assume I wasn't playing it on 187's. I don't mind the challenge every now and then but it's too bad you'll probably get a bunch of people hating this course even though it's pretty decent in the right conditions.

I played a practice round with regular conditions and hit -16 (black tees, pin 1). During the tourney itself, the greens were like concrete and glass for the first 2 rounds. I struggled in Rd 2 with several mistakes.

Yea this is weird with no yellow slope... sorry guys... didn’t happen on my play through I discovered that while playtesting one of my courses once. Unfortunately 187 greens do have a roll point (for lack of a better term) slightly in the green. These should appear yellow but they don’t.
