Before I begin, I want to congratulate this week’s designer @spartan4knight and his wife on the latest addition to the family who arrived just before Christmas. I hope it has been a great Christmas for all the family.
A lot of you know Taylor and I’m sorry about that but be thankful you don’t know his as well as me. You see, it’s Taylor’s dream to play his own course on The Korn Ferry. If you look at the field for this weeks event, or any event on The Korn Ferry, will you see Taylor’s name in the list? The answer is a big fat no and that’s the fu***ng problem. Taylor is constantly, sending me email, phoning the office, even calling to the schedulers mansion with his latest course which would be perfect for the tour. Which is fine, I have no problems with designers promoting their courses. With Taylor though, it’s not just promoting his course, it’s telling me when to use it. The first course I used was the week after a promotion event, where he insisted he was going to be promoted to the then web.com, he got promoted to the euro. This week, Taylor insisted that he was so out of his depth in the Euro that he was going that he was going to be demoted to The Korn Ferry and he could play his course. Did he get demoted? Did he F**k. So now I guess I am going to go through this all over again with his next course, I wonder what reason I will get the next time for how he is going “join” The Korn Ferry. Anyway, good look everyone, have fun out there and remember Taylor is fully responsible for the day four settings, all his fault, nothing to do with me what so ever, he insisted, I swear.

Not a good start, -3. I don't Want to complain but the greens were really slopey around the pins. Too much for me apparently

Hi all,
Fourth week here and finally I played a bit better: -8 and -10 for -18 after two rounds. Still a bit disappointed that I missed a putt of less than one (1!) meter... but happy with my shot making and staying calm despite a stupid bogey on the front nine of the first round.
Hope it’s enough to not collect another red thingy... maybe I could even make the cut and get rid of one?
Loved the course!
Best wishes Frans

Holding thumbs cut line will be -18 fransslabak. Nice going mate! I opened with -8 and -9. Or maybe it was -9 and -8, can't recall. Either way, what I can recall is a container load of off-tempo shots and a container load of made putts. Good luck all.

Great course. My play, not even close.
Outward -1. Birdied 3 of the first 4 inward and starting to get some confidence.
Crushing double on 16.
Shocking flop in eagle on 18.
-4, looking like another demo or two.
Onward.
Another M/C for me, played hard but can't go low again.
16 bit me again, but just not enough birdies anyway to make a difference.
-5 for -9 after 36 holes.
Cya and HNY to all you Children of the Korn.

Scorecard says it all really!!!!! Could have been way out in front opening round, but silly mistakes and some tempo issues f**k me once again! What could have been! 🥴

Ok, so who else had that putt on 15 that ended up back at their feet?

fransslabak If -18 doesn't easily make the cut I'll eat my 3 iron. For that matter I would think -17 is a shoe in too Crazy Croc, well played both However, I will be keeping a very close eye on the cut line. It's a fun course in that you can score well if you get in the right spots but if you get on the wrong side of some of the slopes you can easily rack up a big score. Also reminds me a bit of my course (although obviously far more polished), I'm down with that I was really rusty in round 1, no time for practising except a few swings on the driving range, and it showed. Missed a few easy putts but played enough good shots and avoided major calamities to end with a 66. Meh, I'll take that. Second round started really well and was -6 thru 8. Got to the par 5 9th thinking a birdie and I've smashed the front 9, disappointing par from perfect position on the fairway, and then it became a bit of a struggle. Dropped a shot at 10 and then too many pars coming home. Birdied the last for a 65 for -13 at half way. 40/60 is my thought, wish I hadn't missed those putts in the first round, shame I couldn't quite channel my inner Fitzmagic. *Disclaimer: I don't carry a 3 iron.

What a crap start to 2020. Played last 2 rounds, new years resolution of avoiding bogeys fresh in my mind, lasted till the 13th, slow downswing and water. Reload, this time very slow downswing, same water. Made a snowman. Still managed to stutter home with a 66 somehow. Last round, very slow hit early as hole 2. Never recovered, frustartion eventually got too me on the 17th and I kinda hit a few (extra) putts around the green before signing off with yet another off-tempo induced bogey on the last. 50% gir in 4th round just about says it all. -20 for the tourney.
My abacus just was not up to scratch to ensure decent fps in places.

Third round: some missed putts and a stupid bogey:-8 Fourth round: really solid until the 17th and bogey on that one and par on the closing par 5: -6
Total: -32
Could have been a lot better but should not complain after making my first cut... 😊😊😊
Best wishes Frans

Looks like chances on -13 making the cut just shot up to 95/5 Giraffe72 . Starting 2020 with a bang! Happy new year everyone! Happy New Year yourself! Yes, quite happily surprised this morning to see that -13 looks comfortable, in fact so does -12 (good news for up mup kupen nup ). It's those -11's who might be hitting the refresh button on Thursday night...
I genuinely thought I could miss the cut so haven't yet played rounds 3 and 4, might try and squeeze them in after work tonight if I can keep my eyes open after last night's over indulgences.
Keep plugging away Art Vandelay, you'll get there! I missed 6 of my first 7 cuts and have made 4 in a row since, sometimes it just takes a little time to find your Webbed feet. We can't all be from Swindon after all...

First off, HNY to all the KFers. Second, I appreciate the encouragement Jamie. I admire your game and relish reading about your results here. I'll keep plugging away, one of these weeks I'll find a groove, I just know it! Thirdly, all I can say is Onward! to next week for me.

Good job I've got a sense of humour! Round 3 started ok, but the (frankly) silly pin on 4 got me for a double, then a VF on 5 put me in a terrible spot for another. Honestly, I like this kind of course but there are some slopes on and around some of these greens that are a little ludicrous for a TGCT event. Just my opinion, and it's the same for everyone.
A few more birdies, a few bogies, I eventually get to the 18th tee at +1. A VF off the tee trying to cut the corner puts me in a pit of doom, and I can't get out! I felt like Kevin Na that time he got stuck in the trees and just kept swinging! How many shots was that again? I eventually escape and finish the round with a glorious 11. I was going to play both rounds tonight but I literally can't face it after that. I'll replace my golf shoes with crampons and have a go tomorrow night.
