Without further ado, the real course thread for this one.
This public golf facility is designed to be a true championship test for all levels of golfers. Brookfield Landing takes inspiration from golden age architecture, with several template holes, and the works of A.W. Tillinghast. The course is designed to play with very firm terrain and greens, however it can accommodate softer settings for more casual rounds.

Had two rounds this morning. I had seen Trighton Park before (not played though), so had high expectations for realism. Happy to say I was not disappointed Very good and natural feeling around the course, and the housing etc is absolutely fantastic. To the golf: The greens are very good. Not too easy, not too penal. For me playing sim-style (USE), they offers a good challenge and plays well with the strategy of the course. I like to say that greens are the most important on any golf course, so that usualy gets the most focus when I play. Fairways and fairway bunkers are overall very good. For me, the 12th (I think) was a fairway I found very hard to hit because of the slope right to left. Good drive to the right side rolled off to the left side heavy rough, even flirting with the bunker. Perhaps the only way to stay in fairway with a driver is to carry the bunker, but that was not an option with the wind I had. I'm not sure how well it plays using a wood of the tee since I didn't try it, and though the hole isn't that long, it is uphill. Such slopes are seen in real courses, but I am not a fan of fairways that repells good drives to the rough (we have one on my home course, and I have tried to get the board and greenkeeper to consider expanding the fairway). The fairwaybunker on the 10th is deep. I had a buried lie, so the green was out of question either way, but on such a long hole with a 183 yard to the pin, I'm not a fan of so deep bunkers that don't seem to offer a chance to carry the water with a good lie. Other than that, I found a very good course that played realistic. Best of luck in the competition

Really digging the clean, understated elegance here. Managed a much better score second time around (avoiding the snowman on the first always helps!). The environment is top class as ever and I particularly like 10-11 and 15-16.
Should do well until it meets something from Group B 😛

Best of luck in the competition #12 is setup so that it requires you to lay up with a FW wood, to hit it over the bunkers with a fast/slow, or to work it left to right and roll it up the slope. I wanted to have a short hole where a stock driver gets you in trouble, but I suppose it's not really obvious that's the goal if it's the first time seeing the hole. It probably could have been presented a little differently.

As Ben said, the understated environment worked well here, since the large bunkers really deserve to take center stage (after all, this is a Matt Fritsch design).

Once you see green puddles, you cannot unsee them. True story.

Glad you switched over to this course. Setup & strategy are always good with your designs and this track can be added to that group. Cool twist on the harvest theme getting rid of all the red trees, combined that with the lighting and you have environment that gives off a calm soothing vibe out there!
Congrats and good luck!

#12 is setup so that it requires you to lay up with a FW wood, to hit it over the bunkers with a fast/slow, or to work it left to right and roll it up the slope. I wanted to have a short hole where a stock driver gets you in trouble, but I suppose it's not really obvious that's the goal if it's the first time seeing the hole. It probably could have been presented a little differently. This goes in the "design for the game, not golf" for me sadly. I'm not sure who said it, but I favor a quote: "never force the player to a certain shot". For me, on the tee, I saw three options, and only two options was an option at all considering the wind; 1: carry the bunker - not available. 2: risk the bunker and play the fairway on the side of the bunker. 3: short of the bunker. I opted for the risky option and playing with the bunker because I wanted the shorter approach shot on an uphill. I was then quite disappointed when I found my ball in heavy rough even though I had a very good drive and landed the ball exactly where I wanted. I took the risky option, executed it very well, and was penalized more than if I had hit the bunker (longer approach with more elevation and a bad heavy rough lie). Granted, you do see this in real life, but that does not make it any better.

This goes on Twitter as soon as I can have a good pic! So this course won't go on Twitter then?

*Would be funnier if I was in the contest*
