I might have been a bit too harsh on you guys this week. My apologies. I play here too and that was a bit much at times.
That being said, Darryl, minus a swing coach who was fired last week is the early PC leader with -35. Was a grind though, good luck out there

Round 2 pin on 12 is utter bull pucky. Technically legal, but unplayable in the conditions given. A putted ball that stops a foot past the hole should always stay there. I was glad to walk off with a triple on a 120 yard hole.

I was glad to walk off with a triple on a 120 yard hole. Because we've progressed this far, I think we should have challenging courses + conditions. However...there are some "design elements" of marlette falls that is like Lucy taking away the football from charlie brown so as to trick him from his legitimate attempt to kick it. My 2 cents as I skip the tourney this wk.

Played the first round despite suffering with slow backswings and fast downswings in my practice round.
Got off to a horror start and nearly paused at +1 thru 6 before thinking F it here comes the missed cut, just started firing at flags and whacking driver off every tee.
It worked.
-8 round 1 which feels like an ok score on this track.
Looking forward to seeing this infamous pin in round 2 later!
Good luck all

Yup, 12 is a borderline unfair hole and can become totally unfair with high winds in the wrong direction, so yeah, that one's kind of a 'deal with it' hole... But, you have a wedge in your hands and there is usually somewhere to leave the ball (e.g. pin 1 - don't go left or right, but long is fine). As for the other 'design elements' mentioned - they are what you make of them. There's always another route to the hole, just depends on whether you want to lay up or go around a hazard. Also worth remembering everyone is playing the same course - you have some pins that are absolute no gos and some that are real birdie opportunities. Think it through and be patient. Have fun people

Have fun people To be honest, I really like the course - it's a proper challenge and everyone will be playing the same 12th hole in the same conditions so we can't complain! The only thing that got to me was that I was in the middle of the fairway yet got a 67% lie.. That pissed me off! haha All in all, it's a great course

Could be worse, could be playing PGA with a log jam at -20 thru round one

Can only assume it was my brushing the fairway in around the bunkers and missing a spot with the game showing as if it was all filled in. Sorry for that! Glad you like the course though and enjoy your other rounds.

I really love this course, still can’t believe it’s a rookie design....the scenery around the turn is phenomenal and the whole course is a fun challenge from start to finish.
I felt really good about my first two rounds, was sitting -19 at the halfway point. Knocked in my putts when I would get it close and hit countless up and downs to save par when I was off in my approach. So many shots that start out looking okay and then would roll right off the green.
The luck ran out in round 3. Very high winds are a weakness for me, let alone on a course this difficult. 3 bogeys led to a -5 for the day. Scraped together a -8 for the final round and left the tournament with a -32.
Promising start with a disappointing finish, decent event but that third day certainly cost me a top ten.
I can see why this may end up being a controversial course because it is tough and punishing....but like was said before, we’re all playing the same course with the same settings so I say bring it on? Would I say very high winds were overkill? Maybe, but probably just because they beat me up. Good luck out there everyone.

I don’t think it’s overkill, it felt like real golf out there Golf should be a constant kick in the bollocks - viva la torture

I need to put out more practice rounds in very high winds because all of my distance estimations seem to fly out the window when those heavy gusts come rolling in. Don’t have a fell for them at all

Sitting at -12 after two rounds, doubt that makes a cut. I should have placed better approach shots to make my putts easier but there was some execution fail on my part.
Course is fine but I felt it probably could have been slowed down instead of firmed up. No biggie though, we all play it as is.
I did have an ace in Rd 2. I'll post the video in a little while.

Another double demotion mark for me, down to Web. Then down to CC 3 tournaments later. Just can't play the game anymore since I broke the controller I used when back on PGA. Now I get about 30% perfect downswings and crazy crooked lines where I can't even hit a 5 foot putt straight.
I really think I should order about 50 controllers off Amazon and find one that works and send the other 49 back
