I had a nice run of finishes over the last few tournaments, but won't be competing for top spot this week.
Nothing to complain about first round -14. Missed a few opportunities here and there. A few holes you had to give the drive a bit of thought, but it was a fairly straightforward track.
Rest of my rounds were all meh. I didn't putt well at all. A bunch of miscalculations on distances and poor reads of the green where my approach rolled off or came up short.
I just saw Eric got off to a fast start. I'd like to see him hold on for a win this week - he's been really close multiple times this year.

I knew someone else would start this thread while I was typing up mine.

yep, great start by ericestrada. I had 4 consistent rounds, but my riddles are nowhere near as good as Mark (Kram) and yaters so i'll defer to scoreboard watching

Too lazy to rewrite the more detailed summary I had so I'll give the super short version instead. Double bogey on hole 1 and another on hole 2. Two single bogies elsewhere. Finished at a miraculous -2 and was just not a good day for me.

I knew someone else would start this thread while I was typing up mine. Sorry about that - was traveling for work this week and didn't see anyone start it, so I posted from the airport terminal. The old crew here in BCT land would post from their RVs, but they've all moved on for completely unknown reasons.

Since my 1st round left me well back of anything I pretty much flew through round 2 only half paying attention to what I was doing. Ended up at -12 so maybe that's my best strategy.

since it looks like we could use some more participation in this forum... I've decided to start posting my rounds too. I'm a lower to middle of the pack player so maybe it'll be good to see a different perspective. I rarely shoot double digits under par so no threat from me. Anyway, I finally got round one in last evening. Started bogey - bogey and thought right away this is gonna be ugly. Took another hit off the vape and buckled down. Eagle on 6 got me back to even. Then I managed a run of birdies on the back nine. -4 for round one. Hoping for round two this evening (I like to spread out the pain in small doses). Nice course and the greens aren't too crazy. I need to remember that conservative play is better on this one.

Another half paying attention quick play round and another -12. Maybe there is something to this method after all. Now if only I wasn't totally out of contention two holes into the tournament.

Maybe you found the secret sauce. I personally play really fast and go with a lot of first instinct decisions. I feel like I'm probably in the minority with that, but I learned early on (way back in TGC1 days) that I can easily overthink shots and (mostly) should have just gone with my first impression.

If nothing else... I'm consistent. -1 for round two. Bogeyed the first two holes again and got back to even with an eagle on 6. Managed only one birdie and pared out the rest of the round. Burning edges is frustrating but at least I'm close. Just gotta dial it in a bit. Spoiler - round three was better!

I've always fast played as I'm usually in the 20 minute per round neighbourhood. Not really paying attention to what I'm doing is a new concept for me though. I suppose it's also possible the stinker first round took all pressure off since I knew I was already out of it, but I typically play stress free unless I make it to round 4 with a chance to finish high so I doubt that's it. That's what I like about the BCT. It's so easy to just sit back and relax while playing but there's still that spirit of competition available if you want it.

Went into round 4 thinking that after what was probably my worst played round of the season in round 1 I suddenly had a chance of getting three straight rounds in the negative double digits for the first time this season, so -10 or better was the goal. A bogey on #2 got that off to a poor start, but and eagle a couple holes later got things looking better. Only -4 through 9 and while the back 9 played out smoother but I still had to drain a difficult birdie putt on 18 to squeak in at -10. If not for that -2 in round 1 this could have been a really good week. Oh well. Will need to get 4 rounds in before Wednesday next week so I will veer from my regular schedule.

I missed too many putts in rounds 1, 3 and 4. The greens were tricky at times, especially if you were on the wrong side of the hole. My score this week = Troy's score - 3
