Didn't finish my first round ... won't finish my first round or any others ... just plain DGAF anymore. I have not enjoyed a single event since getting to the PGA here. Most courses have been absolute BS (as in, the designer has no clue what the difference is between "challenging" and "I'm just going to be an a$$hole and make this super hard to prevent birdies") and even the nicer ones have been ruined with ridiculous settings.
Decent, honest players might actually stand a chance against all the cheaters if you didn't give us such BS settings. It doesn't matter to them, you know ... they'll cheat and flick their way to a low score no matter what the course/settings are. The only time the field is balanced is when honest players actually have a chance of getting birdies.
As others have said ... it simply isn't worth the time or effort. Kudos, if that was your intention! If not .. then, for the love of god, please fix it.

Started off OK with a birdie, then had a slow downswing off the tee on 2 and sent a flop over the green. Third hole I put my second shot over the green then had a fast downswing on the flop and bogeyed again. Also had a very slow downswing on a flop on 6 and left my putt 10 inches short. Missed the green on 4, 7, 8, and 9. I was hitting it straight but for some reason I miscalculated on just about every shot. On 10 I did hit the green, but then sent the putt off the green and bogeyed. Thought I had a perfect approach on 11 but it took a huge kick and went way past the hole, barely missing hitting the pin. Birdied 13 and 14, but after a slow downswing I sent a chip all the way over the green on 16 and bogeyed again. Another slow downswing on 17 put me on the second tier of the green. Finished at -2 with 4 bogeys. And this was all despite hitting every fairway and swinging very straight the entire round. And I didn't even miss any short putts. Started the second round by missing a short putt though, a 7 foot birdie. Was hitting a bit better, missed a bunch of putts though.
Then the game screwed me again just like it did a few weeks ago. I put my approach on 16 to like 3 feet and birdied, and then lost the connection.
Started the game again, re-entered the tournament, my ball was mid-flight, and I ended up on the back of the green, 54 feet away.
What. The. F*CK.
Hell, I almost made the putt anyway, missed it by 11 inches. Was 11 inches from sinking a 30 foot eagle on 18 too.
Anyway ended up shooting -7 for the second round. Probably getting a strike with -9.

Well, my first tournament in the PGA and I'm going to miss the cut by 2 strokes probably. 2nd round was solid -10 and no birdies. First round only shot -3 with one bogey and one double bogey. I wasn't a big fan of this course but a lot of others probably share my view. I completed my 4 rounds and shot -28 overall, which would have landed me around 30th place, estimated. So, I feel that I can compete with these guys. I be looking forward to settling in and shooting some good scores!!

Finished up at -35, totally botched round 3 with a -4. Didn’t really hit the ball bad, but I couldn’t buy a putt. I’ve never had so many burned edges/lip outs in my life. Final round -8 that I was happy with, man I’m glad to be finished with this course.
I had real problems with the grids, I felt like on this course especially I saw a lot of the “two breaks inside one grid square”, whether it be a valley or a mound. It killed me to miss 10 footers with just a little break because I couldn’t tell which way it was going.

Round 2 in at -13! 😏😏
Played very smart around this time. 😊😊
Hit some amazing shots to the tighter pins. 😎😎
However, missed a 7-foot birdie that the grid lied on. 😠😠
Made some putts that were beauts! 😏😏
Eagle putt on 18 was hit by Ray Charles! 😔😔
Had a few that just grazed the edge. 😬😬
-25 thru 2! 😍😍
Wheels should fall off at some point! 😂😂
Good luck! 😊😊

-18 after two.
Emphasis at this course is distance control, therefore you better hit your number. The advantage of fully lofting a long iron without fear of going off line is what separates the flickers from the mediums.
On many holes, the difference between holding a tier and rolling off into an abyss is landing at exactly say 185 (and not 184 or 186). Having the confidence to fully loft AND hit straight is a requirement if a player dare dream of contending. You start to realize that flickers are basically playing TGC1.
Beating the horse, but we're barreling toward an incredibly boring and predictable season.

Great course here Anyhoo my -3 will be my downfall in the opening round. Had my chances to go lower in round 2 but -13 won't make it this week. Hopefully I can get the funk out soon
