Hey hmammoth , I think your selection of courses is excellent, but do you think you can mix in some desert courses? I'm thinking that just the site of some warm scenery might help me out...it was only 9 deg Fahrenheit when I came into work this morning. I was so cold I think my nipples were in the bldg 10 ft before the rest of my body. I would love use more desert courses and not just to help your nipples warm up, the problem is that’s a theme, that not many designers use but I shall keep a eye out for some warm courses just for you.

Man, what could have been. I jumped out to a -6 on the front 9 and was thinking this was going to be a fun round. But I ended up grinding out a -1 on the back for a -7 to start the event. Should have been better but after seeing some of the posts, maybe i'll be happy with the 7 and try and grind out a decent score in round 2.

what's the cut number this week you think? I couldn't get anything going in round two and was all over...so I'm just feeling my way if I need to play the last two rounds or not.

Finished up my tourney, rounds 3 and 4. Was a 6 pack Windhoek Lagers strong when I started, another 6 sitting close by, had U2 for additional company. Played ok, music and beer were better though -6 Loaded a Pink Floyd YouTube play list for the last round, feck me, more ads than any music. Music experience was utter crap, golf even crapper - had enough of ? breaks on the greens to last me a whole season. Was one of those except-for-those-I-missed-on-the-high-side-i-missed-everything-on-the-low-side type of rounds. Can't wait to see # of putts taken when 4th round reveal comes, ain't gonna be pretty. Limped home evens. By that time I had a Bruce Springsteen playlist going out of sheer desperation. (Think i'm gonna get my daughter to help me load my LP's onto the pc so I don't have to play YouTube ads lists next time round )

Ah yes, when we bring to tour to the Bahamas for a couple of weeks to play Royal Bahiir and Sabal Sands. Don’t say we don’t look after you, well for two weeks of the year anyway.

Dear fellow Korn Ferriers. I've been feeling guilty this week and thought it best to be open about it. After making the cut and then blowing up in round 4 i received an email to say i'd failed the API check. Ironically I failed on my putting stroke over the last two rounds, my worst line was straighter than most peoples best line. I'd noticed over the last couple of tournaments that my line (off the tee) was getting straighter more frequently and put it down to changing the angle i hold the stick, and whilst that has made a difference it appears i've been gaining an unfair advantage on the field because of the controller. In my defence its the controller i've always used (got the game in April) and have NEVER been pinged before. Strangely i did not fail on anything other than my putting which along with chipping is the weak area in my game but that controller has now been put aside and a new one purchased. Not sure if you all needed to know but there it is anyway

Unfortunately, something like this happens from time to time, but as stated by the admins, failing the api is not cheating, controllers get worn, dead spots appear and sorry to hear it happened to you. Rest assured, no one doubts your honesty with your play.

Safe at 10, biting nails at 9 ? The wind picked up and I thought the pin positions were tough to attack. 3 stabbed the long par 3 for my only bogey, played safety golf and made clutch putts when needed, finished -6 for hard fought -11 at the half way mark

Well against my better judgement I played my rounds this wk.
I have complete respect for course designers. I could never be patient enough to put in so many hours of work. However...were at least half the pin placements on a moderate to severe slope? And was it me or did half the fairways and greens have immediate borders of heavy rough and not the traditional light rough first, heavy rough second.
Sorry to be a griping wuss. Guilty as charged.

Not half. All. No light rough anywhere 😉 This track was specifically designed to be hard so I appreciate your kind words!

Tougher course this week? Let's put it this way...I'm sitting this one out, which is a first for me. Ha. Good perspective. Between my wedding 2 weeks ago, honeymoon, and then starting design of my World Cup design course- I have a feeling playing this one will result in double red ticks. My game really goes to sh|t when I spend more time in Designer- it's hard to be decent at both. DG- no light rough transition for fairways on a very slopey course has rage quit written all over it. A seemingly perfect drive down the FW bounces, rolls, and trickles into heavy rough- your feet and/or heel of the club are in the FW- ball is laying at 55% = commence to aerodynamic testing of controller.

What’s the record ‘high’ Korn Ferry cut line? I’ve not been here long but this weeks -9 is the highest I’ve seen
