Haven’t started yet, but I’ve been on the RTJ Trail all weekend getting baptized in forced carries and penal target golf. I know he doesn’t get love from architecture purists, but Ross Bridge was absolutely immaculate and there were points I felt like I was at Augusta looking up and down the hills and between the pines. I shot a 107 from the whites, but I’m inspired now.

To be honest, RTJ Jr does get quite a lot of praise. He's a much better architect than RTJ and Rees Jones in my opinion.

Yeah but the Trail is Sr. not Jr. Though I think his lead associates get a lot of the credit as RTJ Sr. was in his 80's when it got underway.

We both know I'm not going to do an RTJ-inspired course lol. I think I'm going to take a Landmand/Sand Hills/Prairie Club route.

Ahhhhhh, I honestly thought Jr designed and built the trail. Learned something new.

Alright, we're under way. Located in the sand hills of Valentine, Nebraska. Par 71 (5 x par 3's/4 x par 5's), ~7000 yards from the tips, and about 110' between the low point and the high point on the course. This land is going to MOVE. 1st hole tee shot is going to be into a gigantic blowout bunker.
