I asked a question in the HB forum www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php/topic,29416.0.html and received two different answers so far. Yeltzman, who is a usually reliable poster says default wind direction and speed is the same for all society players, but Pipeitt55 says he investigated and found different conditions. I had posted the question hoping for an answer from HB (yeah right, lol) but have not gotten one. If what Pipeitt55 says is true that seems to imply a possibly large effect on individual rounds in Society play, especially with wind direction. Now some may say that is the way it is IRL, where players often have different conditions depending on time of day, and that is true; but then when the Society honchos set wind speed and direction everybody gets the same, unlike IRL. I am NOT whinging or complaining, but I am interested in other players opinions on this, assuming Pipeitt55 is correct.

Wind during society events is similar for everyone, for every shot.
Wind varies throughout the shot, so it isn't exactly the same for everyone.
There are some bugs:
1. Ghost players may not actually be from the event, so their wind may differ.
2. On replays, there is a display bug that does not display the wind correctly for the replayed shot.

Also, "wind waiting" used to be a thing way back in season 1. Players would get a bad wind and then log off and play their rounds later when the wind was calmer. HB made changes to societies to standardize the wind for each shot, and it is no longer an issue.

Thanks for the info. Darn, I guess now I can't blame my bad shots on bad luck! :)
