May not get my rounds in this week, RL hassles.
Good luck everyone.
*Note - anyone can start the weeks thread, I’ve only started them because no one else was doing it. Cheers.

I already like this course a lot better.
Played R1 and 2 and did well (for me). I started R3....and some of these pin placements are just diabolical. Both on 2 and 5, I hit what I think is a quality shot, only for it to roll 6 inches past the hole....and down the hill 60 feet. On 5, I don't know how you're supposed to stick that anywhere near the pin. I quit for now because I felt myself getting tilted.

-14 with a bogey. Felt like I left a few out there, I think Yaters will be close to -18 if he plays as he has.

Fairly blah first round as I never got anything going and only managed a -4. Don't think anyone needs to worry about me this week.

Smashed out all 4 rounds last night while I had a chance to. Really liked the course. Think the winning score will be around -60 odd, but depends on who plays I guess.

Despite playing the majority of the course really well, I’m still getting the odd lag issue giving me 90% - 95% swings when I’m doing nothing different. Was really happy with round 2 after 17 holes in the high winds and then I four putted the 18th from nowhere and I am still calming down from that….lol. Rounds 3 and 4 will be played on Thursday evening and I’m now hoping I can stay in the top 15.

Competing in my first event and cant believe the skill and scores. Based on the scores I'm guessing I'm losing out on average proximity to the hole. My stats average says its 50feet so do most of the high scores average closer like 20feet? Do you have GIRs of 18 for those?
Really enjoy being a part of the competition though!

Looks like my 2nd round score was much more respectable versus the field with a -8. Still a long way to recover from that 1st round but I guess it's a start.

just finished, not a fan at all. all of the stuff around the course was just distracting. the huge bridge all around the course just felt so forced and unnecessary. some favorites for me, the tunnel under one of the tee boxes to no where, the green color matching the grid in with the lighting, the trees blocking 16 TWICE, and the generic conditions every round. all of the "effort" they put in on the back end and they cant be bothered to actually mix it up from round to round? noticed it the last few weeks, they just throw a course up on the schedule, change the firmness for 2 rounds and call it a day.
as far as the rounds, after the first round i just went on auto pilot and got it done. i dont expect to be competitive here(not like i was any way) since the new call of duty drops tomorrow night. i will just turbo thru all 4 rounds each week and it is what it is. also thinking of a tour name, maybe Abus E. O'power. kinda had a ring to it.

Firstly, welcome to TGC Tours and the forum….. As with all things the more experience you have playing the game the better you will get. The biggest challenge is getting used to elevation changes combined with wind. The majority of the rounds will also be played on fast greens, so if you can get used to that you will be fine. I’m sure in a few weeks your proximity % will come down and you will sink a lot more putts….enjoy!

I thought the course was built on a winter ski field? I don’t go searching around but thought I saw a ski jump, and figured the bridge all around was a monorail or something??
People on XB said it was laggy, but it was good for me.
Yaters, next time you go away, bloody stay there. Two wins on the trot and you have to play week 3 left handed!!

I think mine is normally about 30 feet? You can look at each persons stats for the round with FIR, GIR, putts etc on the score page of the site. Just like real golf, the short game is where you’ll pick your shots up. Get to know how far each chip goes lofted and delofted etc. Some people chart it but I just work on memory.

It was laggy for me on xbox, but didn't really care. I just wanted to be done with it. But it was "tour worthy brooo", with firm/fast. Because conditions never change in real life from day to day lel...

Played my rounds late last night after a long day of travel. Probably a stupid idea, but I thought I better get a score in since I don't know the rules about when rounds have to be completed on this tour. I know there is no cut, but I've always felt like I needed to be done before Thursday.
R1: Happy with my score. Felt a little rusty but conditions were pretty easy. R2. I played well on this round. Wind was a bit more challenging. R3: My worst round of the tournament. Really struggled to score managed to make some key putts down the stretch. R4: Played pretty good. Nothing amazing but fairly consistent.
I never had the right club for a few of the par 3's, so I think I lost some shots on those. But also don't think I had any bogies, which is pretty rare considering how fast I play.
Course was definitely laggy for me. Don't know if anyone has figured out why that happens (combination of crowds inserted into a 'tournament' or the wind increasing all the animations for the trees?....or both). I had a lot of fast swings and some 95% swings that hurt, but managed to save par on those.

Ideally they don't usually change from day to day... you only see changes in ground conditions due to weather. And it's not like every week you get one course condition... lol
