I hate playing in high winds (what psychopath actually enjoys it?!?!) but I love the variation in the scheduling. I think if the odd brutal round here or there isn’t squeezed in then the novelty will wear off for most pretty quickly. I'm pretty sure everyone is gonna pile on this old guy after I state this but...I actually really enjoy the high wind rounds. (Don't hurt me ). Two reasons. First, I like the fun in using club selection, loft, and aiming shots to get it close to the pin. Second, I'm a lousy ss putter. I mean when Michael Jackson asks "who's bad?" my putter responds with "I'm bad." Thank you. Thus, the high wind rounds are my equalizer to try and compete with the rest of the amazing putters on this tour. (You know who you are and d@mn you all.)

Opening round -8, hit it well but left some shots out there.
Followed it up with a -13... literally couldn’t miss with the flat stick.
Bogey free through two rounds and one off the lead at present.

I think we definitely need some rounds with the winds. This is a simulation and the fact is in real life the weather can get really tough at times. I’d definitely say I’m a “fair weather golfer” though, and this rings true in real life too haha

We don't exactly have what is called "Fair Weather" here in Ireland so I just play the way the weather usually is in real life 😎😎

This x 1000 and specifically to your 2 reasons. I dont particularly "enjoy" high winds, but I tend to be more competitive and end up higher on then leaderboard under High winds conditions. and I'm a painfully average putter from 10-15' (something I've been practicing a lot lately- won a Society event recently with a bunch of the WGR top 50 bc I made 75% under 15' instead of the usual 40-50%). I'm losing a putting contest most every day- so feel free to dial up the wind as high and as often as you want.

I’d definitely say I’m a “fair weather golfer” though, and this rings true in real life too haha No one is saying there shouldn't be wind rounds. I don't think that has ever been said. It's when the game settings goes beyond "sim" and into "arcade" that creates a crappy time on the course. The problem with the wind in this game is that it is not realistic in a physics sense to what a real world simulation would be at any setting. That's where the breakdown is within the game. I've had 7 mph winds push a ball across an entire 35 yd wide fairway on a straight shot. The game gets dumber with its wind programming when it gets wound up to max. Most of us know "how" to play in it, hell we all use the same math for everything anyway. But when the setting is at it's highest, it's just a guessing game/crap shoot/pray for it, it's just not fun to me. To be clear, my gripe is only at the highest wind setting where unrealistic becomes more frustrating than it it is challenging. That's the last I'll say about it in this thread. Ironically, I don't care enough about it to create a new thread but if someone makes one i'll chime in lol.. No need to hijack the tourney thread with it any further.

Missed cut for me. Didn't get it close often enough, a couple of bad swings at the wrong time, and above all else some really bad misses with the putter. Not too down about it, haven't played much for a few weeks and I don't feel I'm a million miles away. Really enjoyed the course

whew...sometimes a course/greens just do not fit your eye. This one is that for me. I am not knocking the course. It's fine...just doesn't fit my play or eye which makes scoring very difficult. Might be a cut watch this week for me.

Went through all four rounds yesterday evening, and I must say I had a hard time on the greens, especially in the last two rounds. All in all, I'm satisfied with my result.
Again, the first round was my best at an almost bogey free -9. In the second, I took some wrong decisions especially on the par 5s. I think I 3-putted them at least twice. Added a -5 for a total score of -14 halfway through. Hopefully, this will make the cut.
As I said, rounds 3 and 4 were rather tough for me on the greens. I constantly had to deal with challenging slopes or long distances, the latter mostly being due to slow or fast downswings (somehow I couldn't find the balance). Under these circumstances, I added two -6s to the scorecard, yielding -26 for the tournament.
Happy playing!

So frustrating when you have a deviation to the left on your swing and just can't fix it for the whole round. Couldn't do better than a poor -6.

Including this week, it's looking like two top 10s and two missed cuts in five events. Wish I could hang on to these promo marks!

My game a tad cool the past two weeks. Ferry ran aground. At least I will be closer to the cut line this week compared to last (I think. I hope)

It’s taken me three days to post because of the frustration I’ve had with my game. Practiced the course and felt confident going into round 1, then bogied the first (grrrr), battled back to -8 after 15 (happy days), but dropped two shots in the last three holes (the cut is still achievable) Double bogied the first on round 2 because of a slow back swing and played the remainder of the round raging. I need to work on my concentration and game management, before I slide back to the CC tours

Rolled into this week full of confidence and got my ass handed to me. -8 after 2 and a missed cut with my promotion mark under major pressure. Gotta love this game -8 through 15 in round 1 and then had a 7 on the Par 3 16th. Seven. S-e-v-e-n.
