I see that the European Tour is going to focus on Links and Desert courses. Will there be tournaments using the Alpine theme for the ones held in Germany, Austria, Italy and such seeing as that's where the term Alpine comes from?
Doesn't the European Tour only have about 3 events that are on Links courses now anyway?

Hey Chrashbird, thanks for the post!
Yes, we will be using some Alpine courses, and some rural and autumn courses, as well. We will be putting an emphasis on links designs, but by no means will be limit ourselves to just that theme. The goal with the European Tour, as with all of our tours, is to emulate as best as we can the course being played in real life on that tour in the same week. Obviously, we are limited to what we have to work with on themes, but we will do the best we can. Additionally, if players submit courses that are meant to be "located" in a particular geographic region and the designer makes that known to us, we will take that under consideration. The best examples of this off the top of my head are Biggins' courses Ascona National and Vale Do Morgado. While not being excluded for use in any other tours (both are certainly in the running), Ascona is set in Switzerland and Morgado in Portugal. Therefore, they are natural fits for the OMEGA European Masters and the Portugal Masters, respectively.
I hope this helps!

Thanks a lot, I'm creating another Alpine course at the moment which will hopefully be finished at the weekend and I'll submit it with the Austrian or German Tournaments in mind, probably wouldn't look out of place for the Swedish one either.
Oh just another quick question. My New England CC course was reviewed, but there was no notes saying "Staff Review pending". Was just wondering if one would be coming? Also when entering practice rounds there a box for "Notes to the Designer", where or how do we get to read any comments made, do they come to this board or through the regular website or even our email?
Thanks in advance

Will the European courses apart from the links courses mainly have slow greens. Because compared to the pga the European courses are generally slower?

The green speed is determined by the designer when they create their courses. But we at TGC Tours will never use a course that has purposely unfair greens.
