Theoretically, the top Euro players are the best players not in the PGA so they should claim the top 7 spots. If they aren't then they won't.

Fair enough, I guess my point was even the best have an off tourney, but have an outstanding overall track record. Where as the one event shoot out could be an off week, or just not a course you play as well on as most courses. Anyway, it was just a thought, and I can't disagree with your logic. |

I'm blind! haha I looked at the weather report and didn't see the special event. Thank you so much. PS: I just shot -9 without changing conditions and pin setting 1. I'm ok with that. I hope to promote from CC-F (Q-School went bad and I was in G but fast promoted to F by being 2nd!).

just finished q school last week but have improved a bit since. not expecting to get any kind of instant promotions but keen to see how i go.

Updated the OP with the initial slots available and a new section showing overall promotions available (approx) - so decided to paste here so people know it's new!
Overview
Promotion events are a quick way to move up the tours with good play. Everyone outside of the PGA is eligible so make sure to join the TGCT (Special Events) society and play if you're looking to move up! - TGCTours (Special Events) society is hosting the event
Each tour will be monitored for active users. If the average field size is below the ideal field size (see below) we'll add those slots to the Promotional Event. - There will be a trickle down effect as people promote up from various tours/flights - we'll do our best to ensure that following a Promotion Event each tour/flight will meet the ideal field size going forward.
- All active members will be auto-registered
- Participation is optional
- PGA players are excluded since they can not promote any further
- Master clubs required to promote to a Pro Tour (PGA, European, Korn Ferry)
- you can play both your regular tour event and the promotional event
- you can promote through multiple flights/tours with good play
- you can not be demoted

** Estimated Promotions is based on the available slots for Event #3 and the scoring from Promo Event #2 to get a rough idea - just because initial slots available is negative, doesn't mean there can't be lots of promotions (looking at you CC-D!)
Notes
Participation has picked up following the holidays so we're bumping the ideal CC-Pro field size from 120 to 150 and CC-Am from 120 to 135.
We are allowing voluntary demotions from PGA to Euro tour via request (see sticky in PGA board) - so the available PGA slots will be a moving target until we close down that process. Everyone that is demoted to Euro will be backfilled via the promo event.
Don't let the appearance of negative slots available discourage you from playing - many of those negative slots become postitive as we process promotions so if you are looking to move up play your best and see what happens. Good luck!
New for this promo event is that the first tiebreaker will be Master clubset over Pro clubset.

- Masters Club over Pro Clubs
- Lowest 4th round score, then 3rd, 2nd, 1st (Leaderboard will automatically sort via this)
- If still tied, countback from H18 in R4

I never thought I would be disappointed with a -10 under opening round with master clubs on Xbox but I am I actually left three or four shots out there. Second round I shot -7 under that included a double bogie, as Art Vandelay says onwards.

This is my best ever 4 round score with master clubs on Xbox I’m pleased with how things went apart from the last round where I had shocking tempo issues but pretty pleased over all. Won’t win me a promotion even to CC-A so why did I play them I can hear you asking, because I felt the course was right for them and I wanted to see if I could string four good rounds together with the master clubs and obviously I can’t.  |
