I can't find it when I search ? Paul, I haven't finished updating the course for 2K21 yet. Hopefully will have that done in the next 2-4 weeks. A lot on my plate at the moment.

My TGC2019 review: 5* for the Tour version. Great job with all the attention to detail you could want. Superb. Thank you , Jeff. This was my first TGC course and I learned a lot from it that I was able use in doing Austin Country Club. Hoping to have it updated for 2K21 soon.

Is this a LIDAR course? You mentioned something about LIDAR in your French Lick thread so I am trying to be sure before using this track. LIDAR and Xbox don't get along very well. Why do LiDAR and XBOX not get along very well? What's the issue here? I understand XBox has issues with tempo and now I read this. Just pre-ordered the Series X to replace my original Xbox One circa 2013.

I don't know if this is an issue with 2K21 on Xbox or not, but I haven't seen anyone post anything mentioning any issues so far.

Cheers and thanks for your reply.

I've decided to put Colonial CC on hold for the moment while I finish work on another project. I discovered that some parts of this course didn't port over very well and it's going to take a considerable amount of time to fix the issues. Most of the problems are cosmetic/aesthetic but I don't want to release a course that I'm not happy with. Hopefully I'll be able to resume this soon.

I know exactly what I want it to look like, I just need to put in the time to do it.

BUMP... because it's relevant!

Even more relevant is that, thankfully, Colonial is going under the knife after next year’s tournament. The membership has agreed to bring in Gil Hanse’s team to restore the course back to its original beauty. Gone are the deep, flash pan bunkers that don’t fit the course aesthetic. Gone are the bland, bland back to front greens that don’t reflect the type of green complexed Perry Maxwell is known for at courses such as Prairie Dunes, Southern Hills, Crystal Downs and ANGC.
Can’t wait to see it in 2 years…

And the type of course where anyone can win, doesn't necessarily have to be a bomb and gouger. It certainly fell victim to the early 80s-90s monotonous faux-augustafication that so many "big name" clubs attempted. Gil will do a great job.

"Augustafication" sums the pre-renovation look up well lol.

Gil will do a great job. played out there a few weeks ago with the board President and he was ecstatic about the possibility of getting Hanse’s work approved but was concerned the membership wouldn’t pass it after previous boards had spent a lot of money on bad projects around the property. They are hoping to re-route a few holes back to their original intent after changes were forced in the 1960’s by the Army Corps of Engineers. Right now, the course is pretty much setup to flood the 8th and 11th holes if the Trinity River floods. The CoE forced a significant re-working of 9 of the original 18 and added numerous retention ponds throughout the property. While I don’t expect those to go away, my understanding is Hanse is hoping to relocate a few green sites to bring back the original shape of holes that were lost to time. While Colonial only possesses about 15-20’ of elevation change when compared to Southern Hills 80-100’ of land movement, their membership is hopeful Hanse can work his magic again.
