Man. Some of these pins/greens. With 187 greens how do you keep it on the green on hole 3? Chip goes 1 foot past the hole on 18, and ends up in the heavy rough.... Hole 6 day two? Great shot with a lob wedge, rolls off the green. Chip up to hole, stops about 6 inches short of cup and then rolls back off the green. Had to chip it two feet past and it miraculously rolled back in the cup. I managed to hit the shot limit due to this. I putted it to about two feet, rolls back, putted it to about 4 inches, rolls back, putted it past two feet, rolls back, and so on and so on until I hit the limit, I was about to be promoted with a good showing, now I doubt Ill get the promo mark this week unless I go at least -20 in the last two rounds!

I’ve only played one round so I haven’t gotten to any silly pins yet and I think the course is fine overall. My issues are some small details that seem to be overlooked... I don't have an issue with the course (but I agree ryanmcconnell ) and I don't want to come across as bashing it because I know how hard it is to design. Sounds like it was just an honest mistake though which I get. Out of curiosity catcherman22 I am sure there will be similar situations to dime5150 . Considering a couple strokes can vastly change your position, is there anything you guys are going to do here (remove that holes score, remove round 2, etc)?

I am not bashing the course at all, I just think that the quality of the courses selected should reflect how difficult it is to actually get selected to host. Finishing the pond of your "trademark par 3" isnt a whole lot to ask for imo.

For sure. I wasn't implying you were bashing it either, but my original post could have been read like I was.
Good luck with your future rounds!

Not to pile on here, but for the sake of constructive feedback, #6 hole location 2 got me as well...had under 10 ft for birdie, rolled it all the way off, then it took me four or five tries to get it up and in...think I took an 8 Otherwise, enjoying the course.

catcherman22 I know you guys got a hard time for last week so just wanted to follow up by saying good job with the course this week. I wish we saw these strategic harder courses more at this level. I understand they go up in difficulty but there’s been weeks where the courses just really don’t belong. I’d rather see a course on the other tours softened up over some random course. But regardless good choice!

So after a year off the game, came back and still in CC-E... two practice rounds on random course then straight back into an official TGC round..... scores of -1, E, -7, -10
Pretty happy about that final round, even with a double bogey, and averaging 30+ putts a round over the 4 rounds. Short game needs improvement, but after that last two rounds, I’m back!

Needed a birdie on the last hole to have my first -40 tourney. Bogeyed it to finish -38. Probably will finish somewhere in my sweet spot of 25th-50th. Really liked the par 4 13th...drivable if you shape your drive and let it run down the fairway. Inches away from holing it in round 1!

Making the switch to masters clubs this week. Wish me luck! Good luck! I switched at start of this CC-E season, and while frustrating at the start, it is getting easier. Shot -39 this week for the four rounds...best so far.
