Tough 3rd round...pretty boring round. 2 birdies, 1 bogey and 15 pars. Only 40% GIR. Tough wind conditions.

My last two rounds weren't as good, a 68 and 65. Putter was very cold in R3 and there seemed a lot more movement on the greens in those two rounds but that might have just been my ball position compared to the first two rounds. Enjoyed the course, hopefully -32 will be enough to get back to CC-D. runicstarfish I can only presume there are better players in CC-D and above than the 60+ you are referring too. It also depends on the clubs, I was trying Master clubs when in CC-D, it didn't work out and I dropped down. Going back to Pro has made it easier for me personally speaking. I've also played the game since TGC1 and the mechanics are pretty similar, certainly the putting and shot distance. I did see a post years ago which helped with elevation changes and I use that now, but 30ft equates to 10-15 yards in distance, so if it's 30ft downhill take 10-15 yards off the distance. I can't remember the exact distance so I usually go short if there are no obstacles and hope the ball rolls close! As for putting, downhill putts I usually pull the marker closer to the golfer, it used to make a difference on TGC1, not sure it does now but something I always do. Thanks for the advise ... I too have played this game since TGC1 ... and have read many threads which has helped me in improving my game. But only mentioned the top 60+ if not more above me in the leader board obviously did not find this course as hard as I did. I will plug away ... I'll keep playing (probably after this week will be in F) That's okay ... some good folk there too !!! To me it's not what flight I'm in ... it's about having some good competition among some good people. Good luck ... your score is good enough to move you up a flight

And yet, after 2 rounds, there are 60+ golfers at 10 under or better .... how do they do it ... and why are they still in E. I played round 3 tonight... +5. Flat out embarrassing. 4 or 5 weeks ago I was getting promotion marks. *sigh* It’s certainly not impossible to get -5 to -10 per round. Keep plugging away. We’ll tear up cc-f together lol! lol ... F'rs here we come !!! And I agree not impossible to get -5 to -10 per round .... for me it's stringing 4 rounds of them together in the same tournament !!

Hi everyone...
I think I landed here from Q school. I’m really not very good at this game and I’m more into the designer than the actual golf but I hope to improve.
I’m on pc and look forward to competing with you guys.

The 3rd round was so hard this week (71)! I don't know if I've ever opened with 8 straight pars, either.
I was also lucky to play the 8th hole under par this week (found water twice). Somehow, I'm barely walking away with my first promotion mark of the season.

I'm on the brink of demotion unless I pull it out this wk. Started with a -9 for round 1. Hope to keep that going!

I played the first round here, but hoping I am moving up after my promo event. Angel's Edge looks really great but it had terrible lag for me :-( difficult putting when your putter is skipping on the back swing.

Greetings CC-E! As of late I've been rusty with Master clubs which brought me some poor finishes and finally got me demoted down to CC-am. Hopefully I can hang here!
I always enjoy bombing drives so naturally Angel's Edge is like a playground for me. I think 397 yards was my biggest drive of the tournament. BOOM
Other than that my putter was relatively cold all 4 rounds. Lots of 3 putts that could have been birdies. Finished at -22 for the tournament. I think it will be good enough to avoid getting any strikes so that is Great Success for me!

Just finished 4th round of Angel’s Edge. What a wild ride. After double bogies on 2 and 3, then bogey on 4th, found myself +5 after only 4 holes. Eagles the next two holes and birdied 9 to finish even 37 after 9. Finished round at -3. Not bad considering this is only my 5th tourney since moving to Masters clubs(Xbox). -20 for the week.
Now if I can just figure out flop shots. So inconsistent no matter how much I practice. Short flops are no problem, but 25-40 yard shots are awful.

I had an absolute meltdown for my R4, was -16 heading into R4 and promptly shot a +8 !! Looking to rebound this wk, started R1 at -9.. my back is against the wall as I now am back at 4 demo marks..

Played a couple practice rounds on this weeks tourney: The Alchemist. Considering I’ve been shooting between -20 to -30 previous weeks tourneys using Masters clubs, best I could shoot was +4. It was a slight improvement from my first practice round of +9. How any body can shoot -10 per round on this course amazes me.

Sherman’s Monument doesn’t agree with me. I refuse to play another round. Good luck boys.
