Loving Raynor Ridge this week all though I got off to a slow start. Still trying to get back into the rhythm with Master clubs. Round 1 was a back and forth battle with the course and I ended up Even which was discouraging. I played round 2 immediately afterwards and ended up shooting -7 which is more like it. I then took a break for a few hours and played some mini golf courses. When I started round 3 I could immediately tell the putter was HOT. I shot -10 for R3 which included a bogey and missed tap-in birdie (I was being careless.) It's nice to play well every now and again but I'm still struggling to keep it together for an entire tournament. I'm currently -17 and hoping to avoid further demotion marks with a solid final round.
I got 2 demo marks last week but I want to try to fight them off so I can still be in CC-Pro when we play one of my home courses in week 5.

Ugh! -6 first round, +8 second round...which included a 5 putt out of the gully on green #2. Think I’ll be booted down to CC-Am this week.

A scrambling -3 final round puts me at -20 for the tournament. I was hoping for more but I'll take it. That's a 9 stroke improvement from last week. Hopefully I can avoid more strikes. If I don't CC-Am will be in my near future.

Making my CC-Pro debut with a smooth 73 to start... Including but not limited to 3 OOBs in 4 holes and 3 putting from 8 feet. Hah... Never thought I'd feel this embarrassed over a video game.

Aaand followed up with 67-66-66 for a -16 total with four total OOBs. Nowhere close to a promo mark sadly. Shame because I absolutely LOVED the course in my practice rounds, especially holes 8 and 15 where you had to shape your shots to get close to the green.

Found the pin placements tough in round 1. Couple good shots turned out just okay after rolling down a slope away from the hole. Then there was the 4 putt on 10, ugh. 1st putt 30 ft, second was almost 60 lol

Started off this week decent with a 65 (-7) in R1. Not too bad! I was red hot on the front but simmered out on the back.
R2 was rough. I was +1 thru 15... and then it happened. 16 is a short par 4, reachable with a 2 wood with master clubs but I didn't think I could get it close enough to the pin for an easy eagle. I decided to hit a partial driver shot with the loft all the way up... the partial didn't work out... BOOM. I sailed it over the green off a cliff and onto another fairway over the tree line. Since it landed on another fairway it was not OB. It took me several shots to recover back to the green, 2 of them going OB in the process... I probably should have declared my shot unplayable right away but I'm stubborn. Took an 8 on that hole and head to the par 3 17th... Once again, miscalculation and ball goes OB once... then twice... then I ended up taking a 7 on that hole. Frustrated knowing my tournament is ruined at this point my tempo on 18 was awful and I hit the ball every direction but straight. Ended up taking a 6 on 18 for a final round score of 83 (+11) leaving me at +4 for the tournament through 2.
Yikes... I'm going to have to shoot 2 monster rounds going forward to avoid getting 3 strikes.

I'm going to have to shoot 2 monster rounds going forward to avoid getting 3 strikes. That Second pin in the 16 is a good trap, if you force for an iggie. With pin 1 I scored an albatros (the third of my life! ) in practice, but despite a pair of tries, with pin 2 I never found a way to stay under 10 meters from the pin, perfect distance but all to the left..good for an easy birdie, at least. The problem is that not only the slopes drives your ball to the left, but also the kick, unless you center a very little piece of green, at the very start, to the right, with a shot that with the wind of the second round was also too risky for the tree at the right, so I decided to aim to the center at the start of the green and to accept 10 meters But what surprised me in your words is that, using pro clubs, my 2 wood was really perfect to reach that green (and also the pin, with the right trajectory and the proper risk), the ball stopped at the end of the green in every try I did, short 2-3 meters from the fringe. Are you sure with master clubs 2w was short?

My only two very slow swings cost me a double and a bogey in round 1, turning what could've been at least a 64 into a 67. Gonna aim for -30 this week.

Had a tough time with the tee shot on the first 6 holes at Pacific Spirit. Seemed like every time I hit a good drive or a good approach, it got a bad bounce into trouble

I slid all the way to F before I was promoted back here in D. I'd like to welcome myself back.

Putting in this game is driving me crazy. I don’t know whether to applaud the game for it’s realism, or swear uncontrollably for missing another 8 ft putt I thought would break and stays straight

I have the same issue every week. I was checking stats and I am 4th on the CC-D circuit for Greens in Regulation but I'm 145 in putting. It kills me!

This hole gave me fits on the last 2 rounds. VF downswing off the tee both rounds. This one ended up playing well!
