From what I've heard about this course -42 might be a demo mark. Maybe in a, it’s good for 8th place in d

Well, I played the first 36 holes of this week’s event bogey-free, but I bet I’m not inside the top 120 after two rounds. A -5 and -9 won’t get it done at this course! I just don’t make enough putts, but I don’t miss my much. It’s very frustrating to know I’m always inches away from much better rounds. Got some new threads for CC-D though!

I should have never played all 4 rounds today. Mediocre -6 -6 -7 -5 for -24 total.

Anyone else agree that CC-D players should be using only Masters clubs?

No I think pro is fair for all cc circuits.
I think there should be a pro tour for pro clubs though

Survived the high winds and a bogey on 17 to post a -10 in Round 1...big change from last week's start for sure!

Never been to compelled to join the tour threads, mostly just stick to the courses but after playing round 1 at this weeks venue I felt compelled to chime in.
Curious to see what peoples thoughts are on the 15th hole, one of the most frustrating holes I think i've ever played real or in video games. Makes absolutely 0 sense to me, I understand designing courses to spark some of imagination and shot shaping but this hole is just absurd in my opinion.
Curious to see what people think about this hole.

I was too far left in R1 and blocked, had to hit a punch and then get up & down for par. In R2 I played much further right and had no issue. So, as a designer in this game, my take is that it requires a very certain shot with no other options, and that’s not ideal. I found hole 1 and 18 to be similar unless you want to hit iron off the tee. I enjoy the course overall, but totally understand your points here.

Definitely did not enjoy 15, but maybe I played it wrong (only finished one round so far). Cut a fair bit of the corner right with a drive, and still had to sling a slice through a gap in the trees to get near the green in two. Up and down for a par, but not looking forward to this hole three more times.

15 wasn't too bad. With masters clubs you can hit a fast driver to the right and make it over those trees.
I'll probably be back in CCE next week with a +2 on my first round. I got killed by the 5th hole 5 putting my way to a triple.

I think 15 really depends what club set you're playing with from the tees we're using for the tournament. Masters clubs can clear the gap in the trees to the right and get back in the fairway for a clear approach. There's also an alley left for your second shot if you tee with a 3-wood, but I only played that way my first round...once I realized you could gap shoot 15 in the same way you can hole 1, that became my go-to route off the tee.
The problem is I'm not sure if the distance differences with pro clubs allow for the right gap play, especially with the wind we had in round 1.

Any course with yardage markers in the middle of the fairway with a chance of them getting hit shouldn't be used at any level.
