Havent played yet but course seems much more difficult than last week judging by the scores Fairways and greens are critical this week because bogey is immediately in play from the heavy rough. Also, sometimes planning for a 20โ putt uphill is far better than trying to fire at the flags. joegolferg is an evil genius and a master at this design style. Pay attention to your angles and youโll do fine, but lose your concentration for a bit and bogey is a sure thing.

I have to say I love this track. With these first two events...it's gonna be hard to keep the quality this high all year. Way to go guys!

The technician finally repaired my modem exactly half hour ago, this means that..I'm back!! And trust me when I say that I really can't wait to play! I'm harassed like a mosquito when it find a cow with explosive diarrhea! I read that this week course is a bad boy. Yeah!! This means that the situation is serious here. So i'll dress my pink tanga, right now, right here, to be ready for the fight. As a real man should always to do. Oh. ๐ (shh..all fine. Just say yes shaking your head) (oh..and by the way, don't try too much to visualize me dressing the pink tanga. It could be painful, I suppose) Anyway...i used this week to stay away from the game and to take that little break from golf I actually was needing. Obviously, now I need to practice again to find some rhythm but..i'll be ready in a pair of days, I hope. Good week of golf to everyone, guys hoosierhoops24 I'm here, mate. Great score for your first week..sorry cause I miss to honor your score properly, just playing, but..i hope this week it will be different. I'll play some practice round (at Colonial for first, obviously) to check my swing, then I'll try the delicatessen Joe prepared for us. I'm almost scared, reading what happened to the other guys.. And this is good.

After a 72 first round i had a better 2nd round 64 but still made three bogies and missed a five footer for eagle on 17, I did make a lovely eagle putt on the driveable par 4 so I suppose it evens it self out.

Judging by the scores so far, it's going to be a battle.

Hoping I can come in somewhere close to that, but judging by the one practice round I played, I'm not too optimistic. This course doesn't fit my eye very well, but we'll see. Hope to get round one in tonight. Good luck to all.

I have to say after taking two years off of competition I had the pre round jitters lol but it feels great to compete again. Qualified for CC-B after q-school and ranked in the 4,000โs after being as high as 165 in the WGR a few years ago. So rebuilding will be fun and challenging to try to work my way back up, but off to a good start this week and sitting at -17 through two rounds.
Course is great! Nice layout, interesting design with some unique challenges. Some holes you can tell were specifically designed to just make par which I absolutely love because if you birdie it you gain a stroke on the field, but going for the birdie can cost you a bogey or even a double. I love a designer that does this!

Escaped a demotion mark last week but this week will make up for that with 2 for the price of one!! I played like absolute donkey droppings 1st round... barely registered a P / P which on this type of course signifies one thing & one thing only: Par at best... wasn't to be & ended the round a frustrating 4 over. Round 2 was going the same way... +2 through 14... then, as if by magic, (someone at HB flicked a switch) I found some form & finished birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie to end up -3. So +1 through 36 & too exhausted to play on.... will cross swords again Thursday after I've read.............. By joegolferg

Well..i restarted to play..with my first round at Colonial (Tour edition) and is really a beauty. I'm so happy to have it, finally!! I scored -6 (8 birdies, 2 bogeys) that for a first round after a long stop is not so bad..Then I flew to Scotland to check Moffat, a Lidar one, for the list. A strange, short interesting course, scoring -10. Then, finally, I played a fast round at Raynor Ridge, using first round's conditions. Scoring -1. Lot of birdies, lot of bogeys, one double. Is absolutely clear for me that the words "played" and "fast round" on this course are in strong disagreement. ๐ But actually I just wanted to verify that there is no glitch for me this week and well..everything seems to be fine. And there is no need to change some club in my bag. About the course, is exactly how I expected it. Super squared and well bunkered flat fairways..and tough, tough greens. Is one of those course that generally you love or hate. I actually love it. It requires patience, some studying, DON'T aim to EVERY pin and good skills on putt. Ah..and a swing really straight, cause a good number of pins offers exactly only a certain, often very little, portion of green, to be reached. If you missed it, possibly on the wrong side, you are easily out of greens. And out of greens here means troubles. And with this difficulty AND the awful spin offered by pro clubs, this offers a challenge always good enough (even with no need to use very firm greens, honestly my only little complaint). I'm actually a little worried cause, while my putt is not so bad (I feared worst, after the inactivity, but is still fine), my swing seems to kick constantly on the left, but it happens at the start of the swing, so I think that checking properly my grab on controller and playing a bit more accordingly it could be not so hard to fix it, but if the kick should to stay..it could be a long week

What a course. I played a "serious" practice round..scoring -5 (7 birdies, 2 bogeys (crooked approaches), some experiment...and 1 missed putt for birdie that if should happens on tournament I could burn my PC ๐). Analyzing it a bit better, everything on the course is really well ideated and placed. Nothing is casual. And there is a challenge actually in almost every shot. Even on a pair of tee shots in which, apparently, no matters so much where you place exactly the ball on fairway, but if you check the shape of some green and the relative pin position, you understand that is untrue. And, between this and distances, 5 holes, if not 6, at least playing with pro clubs, needs to be played having a par in mind, but on 8-9 holes is honestly possible to score a birdie, if you do what you need to do. One interesting thing..and also the only real doubt i have now and that needs an answer, before to start my tournament, is that actually on the first round there are not reachable par 5 with pro clubs. Or, at least, the 2 reachable requires a risk (on tee shot or approach, or both, depending the wind) that on a first round I never would take. And the longest par 3 is reachable with a 4H, probably (I miss this club/distance, on my bag, so I'm not totally sure about the exact club, I still need to check this), so I was thinking about an extreme move about my bag, using a 4H as longest club (above driver). I'll test it..cause the only problem about my idea is that on a pair of holes, is required/useful a 2/3 wood, if i don't want a too long approach. Or to risk too much with driver. I'll see if this move could create some advantage on the longest approaches..otherwise I'll simply change one, maybe two clubs. Ah..by the way..The final touch with the short/middle par 3 as the closing hole is pure class. And it also completes a perfect range of distances on the 4 par 3s. Little to say..this course is flawless, if you like it visually. And i like it. Now we'll see if it likes me. Anyway..Thank you Joe. Great work! Edit : I tried changing two clubs. No revolution, but the change it works. I birdied the first par 3 and the practice made the rest. -9 (bogey free and another shameful putt for birdie missed) and the feeling to understand a bit better this course and how to read some uneasy situation. But the pin of hole 8 (the second par 3), it stays simply impossible to deal with, looking at the roll of my ball Anyway..i did my homeworks..now is all about to play properly when it really counts
