Finished the final 2 rounds with 62/62 for a total of -35 for the week. Probably going to make the Top 30. Not terrible for my first week back on CC-A. I'm just glad to have survived my first week Jeff! Keep it up, Ben! Looks like you had a really good third round and a solid week overall.

Hi all,
After the last two weeks, I was confident of being able to remove a third red thingy this (coming) week. That all changed within 3 holes... oh man, I am stupid!! Hit a tree.. twice! 😂😂😂
I finished the first round +1 ... any chance of getting rid of a red mark gone.
I recovered in the next three rounds: -6, -12, -9
-26 for the tournament; probably going backwards in my quest to remove the damage done early in the season.
Best of luck all, Frans

hoosierhoops24 it looks like I'll be promoted in CC-A, in the end. Not so bad for a tournament played in half a day and ended been awake from 42 hours, between trip to come at home, work and all the other things I spent my Sunday actually sleeping 👀 Well..from tomorrow I'll switch to master clubs as planned, so I suspect it will be no more glory for my tournaments, at least until I'll be good enough to understand how to putt and..all the little nuances. This means no glory for..a good while, I suppose. I'm a bit sad only cause this means our rivalry with pro clubs ends here, I fear. But has been a pleasure, mate. Really

Liked the course but for some reason I never quite got the measure of it. Couple of days off the golf required I think, a few days blasting around on Grid or Dirt Rally is the plan!!!

Alright so it looks like I got my first ever Top 25 finish in a CC event this most recent week with a -35. Because of this I was feeling pretty good going into this week's event. However during my first round I started like +4 after 4 holes. I managed to get first round score of -1. 2nd, 3rd, 4th round scores were -9, -11, and a -15(best round ever in any TGCTour event) for a total score of -36. If only I could have played a decent first round.

Really Congratulations ezzino, good to see you up here. I ended up with a top 25 for my first week in CC-A, which isn’t too bad for me. I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to try changing to masters clubs at some point in time but I understand why you are. I still occasionally have tempo problems with the pro clubs and I’m concerned that issue would be magnified if I change. I should have played the promo event with masters just to try it out again but didn’t think about it until I had already started. I honestly don’t think I can keep up with you regardless of which set I’m playing. I’m going to try a couple of practice rounds at some point to see how it goes. The other concern that I have is if I make it to one of the pro tours eventually, I’ll get tired of constant high winds, very firm and very fast greens. I just don’t enjoy playing like that every round. Anyway, congratulations my friend and good luck!

I understand exactly what you mean. I don't know..i have not too many problems with high wind very firm excetera..it depends mainly by the course. How it works in these conditions. Sadly often are not so good to work really well but..at least I MUST give a try to see what is my limit. Is just this, for me. Probably I'll never have the problem if I like or not the conditions used on the pro tours About master clubs..i tried time ago to do this thing to alternate master and pro clubs..but I thing it works pretty bad. It creates confusion when you need some specific swing. So for me is a matter of choice. Definitive, everytime. I also think that all those harder conditions are easier to manage with master clubs, both for the increased covered distance and the spin a bit more human..so I think is the right moment to try this thing. I already know that I have almost not issues with tempo. Is the straight swing that scares me a bit more..especially on putt. I fear will be this my nightmare. I have to work. This is the only sure thing. Anyway..from today I'll start to practice. I played saturday a practice round on this week's course (to see if on it I suffer glitch or not..and is absolutely fine) and is a quite interesting course. Not too different from blackflag, in some way..but with easier fairways, generally. Practicing with pro clubs and all default I scored -13, but obviously now it will be all different. Good luck mate. Good luck to anyone guys. Have a good week of golf.

Not going to play my actual rounds until the end of the week so I can get in as much practice as possible. If I don't play well the next few weeks and somehow get demoted, I'm going to go back to pro clubs and be done with it. Good luck this week my friend, I'm sure you'll finish ahead of me but I'll be watching!

hoosierhoops24 Today I officially started this new deal with master clubs. Sadly, being busy, I played just two rounds in the whole day, one at Mount Compass Farm, a really interesting and well realized Australian "rough RCR (according the designer)"..and one at the beta lidar version of Crooked Stick (Mike/sandsaver is doing an unbelievably good work with this..try it, mate..and you'll see! Is a true beauty!) and well..after the first 4-5 holes at Mount Compass I believed that I would never hit a fairway (or a green) again in this game. Nevermore. Is unbelievable how much these 4 months of hard work trying to master the pro clubs influenced not only my swing..but my whole game. I said that the last time I played with master clubs, I had actually no issues about tempo, but i was not considering enough the cold fact that, after I shaped my swing on pro clubs to have a downswing constantly and exactly between the perfect and the fast, obviously with master clubs my natural downswing is now a default fast. Trying to avoid this fast, I suffer a lot of slow downswing. 👀 But at the end of the second round I find again how to have a correct tempo for two "perfect", but I bet that under pressure I easily will lose the measure. Is clear that I need to rebuild completely my swing. It will need time. A lot of time, maybe. Furthermore, is unbelievable how much different is the response of the ball on firm greens (I tried only these) especially with short irons. The ball stops really soon. With the greens in slight uphill is almost creepy. With the longest clubs the difference seems to be less huge..or, to better say, i understand it a bit better cause I was expecting this response. In short..all my knowledge is disappeared. I'm realizing only now how much nuances I learned about pro clubs, how much good i was with those clubs, cause I was able to know almost exactly where my ball would stop depending club, strength, loft...everything, if my swing was straight enough. So now I feel as if I should learn again everything from the start. And actually is it. But do you know? I really like this challenge. After all it was from my start in CC-C, that I was waiting for this moment. It will need time, for sure..and probably I'll suffer for weeks (months, maybe? 👀) before to find a certain level of confidence and the "knowledge" to be competitive again, but I really want to try. The strange part in all this is that after all I feel enough comfortable and confident about my putt. The cone tighter creates issues..and I know I'll miss a lot of putts, but I feared worst. What is a real nightmare are my short chip shots. It was already my weak spot with pro clubs..but now is really a plague. Anyway..so our rivalry seems is not dead, after all So..what we should do now? We want to continue from our old score or we want to enjoy a fresh start, to honor the new flight and the new clubs?

I think it would be fun to start fresh, with new clubs and a new flight. I saw the post on Crooked Stick and I definitely want to give that a try soon. It's in my home state of Indiana and I actually got to play the course many years ago as a junior golfer. As far as the masters clubs are concerned, I have to say that I've played a couple of practice rounds as well and must admit I like the added distance and spin. I too think I'm going to need some time to adjust but I'm a little more optimistic about the change than I was just a couple of days ago. Also being able to continue our friendly rivalry has given me more motivation to give it my best shot. Good luck Ezzino and may the rivalry continue on!

Got off to a good start with a -10 in the 1st. 2nd round was a different challenge. Got off to a rough start but wound up with a -7. I just could not control the rollouts in round 2. Every green rolled out 3,4,5 yds more than I wanted and I just couldn't get into a rhythm the entire round. Still in the hunt for a green check so got to keep grinding.

From yesterday, i'm playing some practice round here and there to understand how to play acceptably with master clubs. After all is not so bad. I scored -10 at Moray and at White ridge, a gorgeous course in CT, then I scored -15 at the GolfClub Barbarossa (the score could seem impressive, but the course is par 74, with 6 par 5 holes and it plays quite easy, so..), but I'm happy cause I have less problems than I expected..i score more or less the same than with pro clubs. Surprisingly, putting is not so terribly scaring. And I can't explain exactly why, but the slight difference in the dynamic of putt with master clubs, seems to fit a bit better with my way to intend putting. And is also really easier to have a slight fast (or slow) backswing, that is a great and useful thing. So..my only concerns are about the fact that I still miss, sometimes, the right tempo on downswing. I think it will requires time to memorize the correct movement to execute everytime. I hope not too much time. Then, all that is related with the short game. The roll for pitches, flops and, above all, chip shots, is really another planet. Is not a matter of easier or harder..is just different. With pro clubs, for every chip with every club I knew how much a ball could roll on every surface and situation..here I know absolutely nothing Anyway..if I can have an enough straight swing and if I can avoid weird situations and stupid decisions, I could score not too bad this week. It will be interesting, in every case, even cause after the round I played last week to check the course, it seems to be really a nice one. I'll play a practice round, then I'll check some new course and tonight first round Good luck, guys!

So I played my first round tonight after switching back to masters clubs. One goal for the week was to go bogey free for the tournament. That lasted two holes. I missed three short putts on the first nine, one for par and two for birdie and made the turn at -4. Made a couple more birdies early on the back nine before I hit a very slow downswing on the par 5 13th which sent my ball sailing way right into the valley. Needless to say I made 7 which dropped me back down to -4. Fought my way back again and even though I missed another short birdie putt along the way, I managed to finish at -8 with all the wasted shots.
ezzinomilonga, I'm waiting to see how your first round goes, but you shouldn't have any trouble passing me by. Good luck to you and everyone else in this week's tournament!
P.S. I'm enjoying this course quite a bit. I hope everyone else is too.
