R1 -7 two stupid bogeys and a missed 10 foot birdie putt cost me from something special in those winds.
R2 -2 Should have stopped after 1 as I felt myself very frustrated. Learning my lesson and stopping for the night here.
R3 -5 with FOUR bogeys and no eagles to save me... what could have been yet again...
R4 Even. The dam finally broke. Lost the will to score mid round here with doubles on 10, 11 and 12. But even isn't the story so much as how I got there. I was +6 with 5 to play and finished birdie 14, birdie 15, ACE 16, birdie 17, birdie 18. This game lmao.
-14 total
hopefully that was enough to stave off any demo marks for the week. But I am most definitely not qualifying for the masterz.

Pro life was too grueling and confusing with their separate threads per tournament...i like to keep it simple with 1 LLLLLOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGG thread so it looks like i'll be sliding down to the party floor AKA CC-A next week!!!

After a long time in CC-A it looks like relegation for me along with what looks like another 20 odd players. Bit harsh getting three strikes from Augusta. Oh well.

At this point I am dead last among CC-A who have completed all 4 rounds at +9. I deserve it, played like a boob. Ironically I shot -17 in CC-AM this week. Different conditions, but same course.
This will put me on the brink of relegation. Next weeks course is a bute, but the conditions could make it a brute.
Congrats to all that prospered this week, good on ya.
Onward.

Have hope, the leader this week has three demotion marks and finished #87 #82 #126 #147 the last four weeks and now shoots -36. Miracles can happen even on the toughest courses.
I guess sandbagging your handicap really helps....

Good luck all for Oak Hill, I don't think we will be seeing as low scores. Long course.

As low as what, Firethorn? lol Yeah course is super long If they use the back tees, yes. But whether they use the tips or not, this is a wonder full course that will be a very tough place to go low. Low as or lower than Firethorn? Remains to be seen.

I’d resigned myself to relegation after finishing 162nd and the three hammer strikes that came with that. BUT NO. Checked this morning and i’m still in CC-A. No idea why but i’m moved up to 153rd and escape by the outer layer of the skin on my teeth. Maybe just delaying it a week, or can i come back from hanging over the abyss?

my first event back as an Amateur (challenge pro really i guess...) and it took the 1st round to shake off the commercial smell of sponsors and media appearances but finally in round 2 i got back to the game at it's purest level the way bobby jones would appreciate. i found some form and put up a nice couple rounds making some putts in meat of the tournament!
but i think i flew too high and my energy ran out in the final round with the flatstick going cold as that lady from tiger king
hoping i don't get a red mark but have no idea where my score will fall and if i should start using pro clubs in the near future to avoid marks

what's the breakdown on the forum here of masters vs pro clubs? after using master for so long it feels like cheating to revert back to pro (no judgement though, whatever makes the game fun for you)

what's the breakdown on the forum here of masters vs pro clubs? after using master for so long it feels like cheating to revert back to pro (no judgement though, whatever makes the game fun for you) It's about 50/50 here in CC-a Promotion marks are top 15 spots for master clubs and top 5 for pro clubs. These are the best pro club users in the game here in CC-a I would assume since you can't go any higher with them. So those 5 promo marks spots are tough to find. Meanwhile, I've been in the 50s on the overall leaderboard before and still received a "Top 15 master club user" promo mark.
