I Hear what youre saying, i like to have to earn my good score. Seem to have to be doing that a lot after my first round being awful Played 2 rounds of this weeks course - and despite not hitting over par in any of my practice rounds i hit +4 in my first round. Then played a practice round or two in the same conditions as that round and managed to shoot -4 on my second. I was as low as -7 at one stage i think but a double bogey brought my back to reality. If you didn't like the first round, you're not going to be too keen on the second. I scored - 7 in the first, but I'm halfway through the second at +1 and hanging on. The wind is a real game changer.

I actually did a lot better in the second - i hit 4 under which brought me back to even for the last two rounds. I think porbably because my practice rounds were set on the default settings on the course which is medium - high winds so i was more prepared for that one than the first one. Hopefully i can bring myself under for the last two rounds.

Played myself out of the promo after about 9 holes. Got over confident after shooting under on practice round -1 hit two in the water first tee and just got worst from there. Might finish off the rounds at some point this week but it’ll be more just to pass some time as Im way over par. Shooting worse than I do in real life.

Ah, tough luck there mate.
In other news, it's been a bit of a bloodbath in the final table for last week's Great Lakes tournament. I was 39th place with +6 on Sunday morning and today's table shows I finished 17th!
My worst score of the season and my highest career finish. Go figure. Must've had a ton of withdrawn players for that to happen.

Finished off my Kill Devil Hills final round. - 6 which sees me finish - 16 for the tournament. Pleased overall. Just need to figure out how to post a number in high winds.

Thats actually a great score, after three rounds ive hit
+4 -4 E
So my last round is a clean slate to just hit under par. Frustrated with how the rounds have gone as i feel like this was a course i could of hit low on but i am in Z for a reason.
Also hope the next promo event i approach with more caution to avoid ruing any chance of playing well within 3 holes.

I've actually been wondering how I'd fair if promoted. The scores I'm hitting now that land me in the top 50 might not even get me in the top 100 in a higher division.

I Finished top 50 in Z with a score of +16 last week. Wouldnt want to know what that would get me in higher divisions.

Finished all my rounds for both comps this week. Both a bit of a write off but better to finish them.
On the CC-Z normal comp I posted
+4 -4 E -2
Total: -2
Could of would of should of done a lot Better especially on a course I didn’t see as particularly challenging. First round let me down a lot seems to be happening a lot to me
Promo
+18 (lots of water shots meaning losing the will to play/live got me here) +3 +1 -3
Total: +19
Very disappointed with that score. I think if I could have just managed the first round a lot better rather then going for it on some shots I could have potentially scored under par. 2nd round appeared to be going same as first was about +8 thru 3 again. Managed a good back 9 and got about 7 birdies in that round alone. All in all I should have done better.

Good fightback with Kill Devils, but yeah, the promo courses can be deceptive. You've got to respect them.

Yeah it was decent but should have scored a lot lower.
I think ill approach the next promo with a lot more caution after this.
I cant get my head around how these players score like -30 to -50 is there something were missing? i feel like if i could make puts id score a lot lower thats what lets me down a lot of the time.

I wonder the same thing! If you check the scorecards for some of those top players, you'll see they're actually scoring more birdies than pars.
So birdies for them are like pars for us, and Eagles are like birdies.

Just looking at player stats for this tournament out of curiosity and after two rounds im actually T10 for the amound of birdies in the field at 12. But i have twice as many bogeys as the people around me. Just need to work on turning them bogeys into pars and i may do well. I have a habit of doing really bad on the first round though and fighting the next 3 rounds to make it up.
Edit: Just looked - im 102nd out of a field of 115 for least bogeys and dead last for Driving accuracy something i need to work on.

Well respect from me - you're playing with Master Clubs. I'm not ready for that!
