LEFTY79NFL Week 2 - Kansas City @ Jacksonville Coming off a close road defeat last week the Jags returned to Duval as home underdogs against the Kansas City Chiefs. A quick 3 and out left the home fans on edge but the office got going on the second possession with a deep strike to Ridley who beat the corner on a double move. The offense continued to hum throughout the first half and the crowd went nuts when Etienne broke a tackle at the line and went 70 yards to the house. In an aggressive move, coach decided to go for two but came up short. After getting the ball back just before half, Lawrence was able to toss up a Hail Mary and Ridley brought it down for his second TD of the first half. Starting off the second half the offense continued to hum. While it lacked the explosive plays of the first half, the offense was steady and put up a couple more scores in the second half to keep the pressure on the visitors This recap….

Panthers Week 2, vs New Orleans
Although the score might look close to last week, the Panthers played much better. Only two costly fumbles, other than that, the plays were pretty much ran as designed. No fanfare, but no other mistakes.

KC Chiefs week 2 @jacksonville No idea if this scorecard is enough against the monster score of our rivals… probably not… But nice field to play! Looks kind of easy but it isn’t at all, lots of laying up and calculations involved.

Week 2 final: Cincinnati hosting Baltimore Still hobbled by a calf strain, Joe Sheisty continued to show good form in the first half, leading the Bengals to 26 first half points. Coach knew it was going to be a close match so he called upon the offense to play ball control in the second half, which early on featured second year safety Dax Hill intercepting Lamar Jackson on the Cincy 5 yard line and running 95 yards untouched for the pick-six, igniting the raucous home crowd. In a surprise end move, the Bengals, rather than taking a knee on the last play, went for the long bomb, and Burrow connected with Jamar Chase for a 55 yard Hail Mary completion. Cincinnati turns in a respectable 28 points for the game, confirming LEFTY79 ’s confidence in the team and Tyler’s lofty ranking of the Bengals after the opening week. “Win or lose, we will always give you a fight” -Coach Lawrence, shown below.

Week 3: Bengals vs Rams - It’s Monday Night Football on Thursday Night! With Joe Sheisty still hobbled with a calf strain, the Cincinnati ground game was in full force. Defenses were both put to the test, trading punches, until Mixon broke free for a 40 yarder midway through the second quarter. Tied at the half, both the Rams and Bengals played things close to the vest. L.A. took the lead early in the fourth, but the Bengals engineered a late game rally, to tie the game as time ran out, with Mixon tallying his second TD of the game. Disaster almost struck as the PAT snap was bobbled, but the Cincy holder recovered the ball and scampered untouched around the left end for the two point conversion, giving the Bengals their second win in a row in the early stages of the season. (Editor’s note: the reporter clearly doesn’t understand how the 2-point conversion works, as the Bengals actually needed overtime to pull this one out) LEFTY79 @upmupkupenup
