***Not so Blind Bat anymore Broadcast alert***
Given that the Patriots' quarterback has - against all odds and expectations of the team doctors - fully recovered from his eye injury and seems to be throwing reasonably straight today, the New England Patriots get the playoffs underway with their effort against the LA Chargers (@mrubino98). The Chargers beat the Patriots in the regular season and the conditions in their stadium - low winds and thus lots of short throws - are the achilles heel of the Patriots, expectations are low despite improved eyesight. Anyway, if you want to see it, go to twitch/fransslabak in a few minutes...

As expected, the Patriots long game was just fine but short throws went all over the place and what should have been a decent score turned into a very average score and a likely exit… 24 points for the Patriots - over to the Chargers

JETS- "what went wrong"? 1. Perhaps the course choice- i designed Andongo- thought it would offer good scoring opportunities. it did, for all skill levels (handicappers crushed my strategy with the drive-able par 4 18th). Probably should have gone with one of my more difficult courses to combat the handicap. 2. the margins for error in this hcp league are non existent- a 3 putt bogey from 8' on #9 hail mary vs Tennessee to lose by 1 was the low point in the season and may have been the difference in making the playoffs. another Hail mary lipout vs Dolphins cost a W. a bunch of 1 point losses. 3. Going 0-6 against the other Plat players didn't help 4. not taking Doyley's voluntary demotion to Elite- the 1 stroke bonus woulda been helpful. #lessons learned and saved to Inotes for basketball madness.
thanks again Lefty and good luck to all in the playoffs!

Rams @ Vikings Always a pleasure to play this course! After a remarkable front with 2 eagles cancelled out by 2 bogeys, I managed to do another 2 eagles on the back, the eagle putt on 18 was a close miss unfortunately. awmacvCheers and good luck!

Texans going live shortly ... what can they put up against the Ravens ... The Ravens are the favourites for this matchup, however with the hail mary play always available can Houston take advantage ...

Well ... Gents it was nice while it lasted... Started off well, steadied the ship in the middle then decided to get the yips from hole 9 to about 13 which killed my round. Back 9 - 18 pts Hail Mary on 18th - 3pts Handicap - 4pts TOTAL - 25ptsI seemed to be in a headwind or cross wind of above 10mph the entire round, if it is my last hurrah ... which it probably will, thank you LEFTY79 for running this seasons competition and talking me in to coming back and ... somehow ...representing Xbox in the Play-Offs Good Luck bmoregolfpro , i'm certain you've got this, the front 9 is defo the place to get it done, which i'm sure you will

The boys in purple came out on the road hot and good thing as they failed to capitalize on both Hail Marys. It’s a 27 spot and good enough to advance. Good match to the Texans and we will wait to see where we can accrue some flyer miles to next.

Wild Card Week Minnesota Vikings After a snow storm and power issues I almost forgot this was due. And Cousins got bit by a slow bug at half time but a solid front nine on my favourite course have me a respectable day. Great round by the Rams as well!

Wildcard Weekend Patriots @ Chargers from SoFi Stadium aka Los Angeles CC After a roaring start to the season, the Chargers could not let the playoff opportunity pass them by, and knew what they had to do coming into the weekend. The first drive was a routine march down the field just like they had practiced, and resulted in an easy two-putt birdie to start the round. After four straight punts/pars, the Chargers knew they needed a big play and tried to drive the green on 6. The ball went about 2 yards too far and got stuck on the hill behind the green, leaving a nasty, severely downhill chip for 2nd and goal. The pass to the end zone was flying way too fast, but Keenan Allen somehow got his hands on it for the score. (In golf terms, I hit my chip and it was going 1,000mph and hit the flagstick and dropped for eagle). Coming off the touchdown drive, the next drive was a total disaster. A snap hook into the trees took two shots to get back in play, and then a missed 3 footer for bogey lipped out and the Chargers turned it over, quickly erasing the eagle from the previous hole. The easiest hole on the course awaited, and the Chargers too advantage for another TD (birdie) before heading to the extremely important final drive of the half with a chance at a Hail Mary to take the lead. After a slight fast on the tee shot, the Chargers stood about 25 feet to the left of the pin needing a big putt. Anddd it dropped, curling left to right and into the hole for the Hail Mary score. At the half, the Chargers had 24+2=26, which was good enough for the win. The Chargers cruised through the second half knowing they had the win locked up, but still had something to prove and tried their hardest to beat their 1st half score. An ugly snap hook (yet again) on the 17th hole erased any chance of that, but they bounced back with a birdie on 18 to equal the first half score of 26. Good game to the Patriots and the Chargers will await their next opponent in the Divisional Round.
