R4 was a frustrating disaster. Two doubles and 4 bogeys <whine>I am so sick of the trees that block tee shots and force layups even on par 4s. Good tee shots in the proper part of the fairway are often blocked out for the approach by still more trees. I couldn’t get my approach shots close (like less than 15 feet) and then I couldn’t read putts because of all the shadows. So no birdies for me. If I had a good draw or fade using tempo, I might have fared better, but I don’t. This course did not suit my game at all and I hate it. 😀 </whine> Hats off to the leaders shooting well under par; you overcame the danger on this course in ways that I simply couldn’t. Wade, my friend, you got me this time. How’d you do in TST? Jeff, I get lucky once in a while. However, you and Art smoked me in TST. I missed the cut and after 2 rounds I was +7. I only played 2 rounds because I wasn't sure how many rounds you and Art were going to play. Just looked at the TST leaderboard and I don't see your name Jeff. I thought I saw you at -1 the other day after round one. Did you withdraw?

No, I didn’t withdraw. I was late getting R2 in. Post in the TST forum.
I was +1 in R1 and -7 in R2

Thats Harbour Town Jeff - the course is known to be narrow and to block shots even on the fairway - if you are on the wrong side of the fairway. I think I managed to get this right on the course recreation.
For my own 3rd round - played with Art and it was a nice round, if I ignore the meltdown triple bogey on the 8th, and a stupid double on the 4th. Another +6.

Last round also With Art - got to see a wonderful eagle on the 2nd. For me, I played good tee to green - putter was completely off. +8 and +32 total.

Hi @andersnm, I wasn't criticizing the accuracy of your RCR, I was complaining about the trees that are there. Usually when there is a well-done RCR like yours, the planting, objects and hazards are identical to the real course, or the real things adjusted for TGC 2019 clubs. I just hate that you have to channel your inner Phil or Bubba to play this course well. Reference JoeGolferG's fictional Harbour Town: tgctours.proboards.com/post/305335He also refused to eliminate those pesky trees around the tees and fairways!

Yeah, the reason I love the course - it demands accuracy and course management. I know there are some critics about the course that it dictates somewhat how to play it, but I kind of disagree with that. I also think you need to show some shot arsenal - fade, draws, punch shots - because, I think everyone will get blocked at some point.

But But But...….grrrrrrr OK then. After practicing on Euro and KF tourneys, I still cannot lay a finger on why my tempo kills me every 2nd or 3rd shot, but leafy green courses with heaps of trees, bushes and shadowing seem to be the worse. Possibly graphics related. 5+ yr old PC. Any other PC user get the same issue?? Cheers Do you know what framerates you are getting? Tab and shift to bring up the steam overlay, click settings down the bottom. Click the tab In-game FPS counter you can then put up the in game fps counter. If your fps are low on a course there are plenty of ways to get better frame rates. Vsync on causes latency and could effect your swing. In the advanced graphics settings try dropping down fog quality and fog shadow quality for a big boost in fps with very little difference to graphics quality . I run a GTX 1080 which can't run this game at 60 fps in some courses on 3440x1440 resolution. Try using razer cortex game booster which improves your PC performance by managing and killing processes and apps you don't need while gaming. Thanks hammers1man. Will experiment next chance I get.

I'm loving this course.
I think its great. very challenging, in a sneaky sort of way!
I think the most frustrating thing to me, is that I'm missing a putt on what seems like every single hole, by an inch or two. I mean, usually I'll have 2-4 like that, and I'll walk away from a round thinking, man, if I'd have hit those that just baaaaarely missed, I coulda done 2 strokes better. But this round I just played, quite literally, there were at least 10 putts like that, that missed within no more than an inch or two then left with a tap in. To say I could've done 10 strokes better is quite the sobering thought!
