Round 1: -10 through 15, dumb bogeys on 16 and 17, finished -8. Felt like I actually played pretty well, but I'm sure I'll be 6-7 back after this first round.
GL ps4 crew, have fun.

Course was about as fun as having a vasectomy by a drunk chimpanzee with no anaesthetic. Then throw in the wind to boot, how to ruin a perfectly good Sunday. Usual suspects at the top, those lonely nights really pay off on courses like this ππππ

What is this event for? Just wondering why I saw it in the special events.

What is this event for? Just wondering why I saw it in the special events. WGC event for PGA players - Top 50 in FedEx points get to play in it, the rest play minor PGA event that's in their normal PGA society.

Well, by the skin of my teeth - Fedex rank 50 (!), I made it...
Got really confused (easily done) and thought I'd warm up in the alternate event, so fired this up and realised after about 15 holes that I was playing the main event, which I didn't even know if I'd qualified for!
Made a quite frankly ridiculous bogey 6 up the 3rd... had 9yds to the flag after 2! But failed to get it up (a regular ailment), knocked it 10 ft past and then failed to bother to worm cam the lie that was told to me by the pin on the mound. My own stupid fault really. Should have been a regulation birdie and -10 to start...
Finished up -8 however with this bog standard Birdie on the piss easy 18th. Made sure to hit another slow backswing approach to leave me a really easy plugged bunker lie, and well... us boys in the top 50 WGR don't miss from there, do we?

I finished -24 - actually didn't play all that badly but it was the worst week I can remember having on the greens.
Missed loads from 10-15 feet and missed pretty much every 20 footer by a whisker.
Have to say, I've hated every one of the US Open Contest courses we've played since the US Open.
Feel like I can handle a course that's virtually impossible more than I can one that's deliberately awkward but other people manage to score on
Portrush aside it's been a tough few weeks. Next weeks course is a beaut though

Practiced this beaut last night. -4 and -10. On the -10 was -7 after 9. Round 1 setup, hole 1. Anyone able to get to the green in reg? I figure only way will either be to aim 30yds right and try to get a VF downswing? Or maybe 20yds left and purposely do a slow downswing? Ha ha. Anytime Iβve tried to be cute like that I get P/P. The game shoots me the bird. And I can hear Johns voice saying. Now WTF was THAAAT? Glad to have qualified for this but I would expect very little... I was checking out my Fedex points to see if I qualified for this the other day. Noticed my 2 PGA wins were both minor events. Maybe I should Caddy for Crawsey or Brad or one of the other βplayersβ this week.

Was only just short, but I do remember thinking "I wonder if many people can actually get up there in 2".

Wonder if itβs possible to get someone that sees it from our perspective? Any volunteers?
