I just watched some of Adam Lynch's Twitch recording ( Z3NZ) and his swing is a K that usually doesn't even end up in the rectangle box. He aims about 10 or so yards left of the fairway and it ends up in the middle. Must be one of those fabled everything on the right side of the API guys. I gave it a quick try and its not too bad but if you get a fast downswing you'll be screwed though as it'll go where you aimed it. Only been a member since May but I reckon he'll win before the end of the season and will probably have a top 5 this week, not bad for Xbox. Quite a bit of this going on at the moment, from what I've seen and heard... takes out missing left I suppose. I did a bit of testing and I was amazed at how close I could hit it, by just "playing into an area". Obviously, there is enough dispersion between strokes, or API would pull it. Probably some merit to it if practiced, but it's just not the way I want to play the game personally Your swing line can be as crooked as you like 90% of your misses are caused by bad downswing tempo. I’ve tied on the practice ground to deliberately swing across the line both ways and as long as my tempo was P/P it went straight.

Just finished up, found myself tied for the lead going into the final round with a -16 third round. After being in contention during the US Open and failing to convert, I was hoping to redeem myself here. Just couldn’t keep up with wmr in the final round. Playing with his ghost, I saw him hole a couple crazy chips that were very demoralizing. Ended up two strokes shy with an -11 final round. Great play man. I feel your pain. Last year in this event I needed to birdie 2 of the last three holes. #18 was a gimmie so I just needed a birdie on #16 or #17 and both times I gave myself a 20 foot side-hiller which never had a chance and blueorfe manged to steal it. He also shot a 58 to my 62 so he had to kinda work for it.

I had 3 putts over the week that were just insane misses, like half a ball outside the cup, inside 5 feet. I had some lucky hole-outs as well though so it’s hard to be disappointed. Excited for the majors next year. As for the one side miss technique, I’ve gotta say that’s something I employ on most of my shots. I uploaded a hole out in round 2 so you can see an example. For pitches/chips, shaping the ball either way, and obviously putts, I try to hit the ball straight. Otherwise I just do what feels natural and it automatically goes left, it’s what my thumb has always done and I gave up on fighting it halfway through the season. I hope this doesn’t become controversial, the way I see it I’m just trying to play a small draw every shot.

Repeated rounds 1 & 2 to finish up -34. Never really fully got to grips with the course - lots of nuance, that I didn't have the practice rounds to discover properly. Great challenge tho and a brilliant recreation 👍
Will only be winning the small prizes, maybe top 50, and mostly due to the number of non-starters this week... a touch surprising considering it's a major...

They’re swinging almost 8 to 2, with a short swing. Yours is just a draw / pull bias, and importantly a full swing. Great shot by the way! [EDIT] Just to say, nothing to say there is anything wrong with any way that anyone is swinging, as long as it's passing the API The extreme 8:2 short swing just screams out all sorts of wrong to me, personally.

-42 to finish up. Rd 3 was a pain where nothing dropped. -8 Felt rotten. 10th on the leader board with 2 to play that should knock me outside that. So here's hopping they both find girlfriends & lose interest in playing their last rd. But both on the same day??? That would just be too freaky...
-9 -12 -8 -13
-42

Looks like I won’t be getting to my last round gentlemen. Spending the day helping a friend of mine with a yard sale then going down to the ocean with my new girlfriend and her family. Hopefully heading out to eat somewhere nice afterwards. Anyway, it was fun.

Looks like my brain fart on 12 in Round 4 has cost me a Top 10 which is a little bit annoying.
Still, Top 20 in all four majors this year which isn't to be sniffed at - pretty much my level these days
Congrats to Vitaly/whoever takes home the claret Jug. Only nine months til the Masters

That swing line is just...no words. I have a controller that I stopped using for TGC. It’s a Sony DS4. Red one. With that one I have a lot of swings similar to yours without the knot in it. More like a backwards 3. And I know what the issue is. The right thumb stick assembly is not straight in the controller. In other words to get a reasonably straight use line in the cone I have to pull back to about 5pm or 5:30 and swing to 11 or 11:30. And that’s not natural. So when I swing regularly the swing the forward swing starts at just left of the cone and does this double bow thing ending just left of the cone at the top of the swing. So if that’s a newer controller take a look. On mine the little seam in the round base of the stick that sits inside the hole is crooked. Not straight up and down. Which makes me think the assembly inside was installed at a slight angle. It should look like ( I ). Not ( \ ). We are talking about controllers folks. Those are not illustrations of the forbidden C. I have three different DS4 controllers and they seem to be completely random, it's like a lottery when you buy one really, you never know how it's going to behave, it takes me about 2 to 3 weeks to learn a new controller normally. However I have a black colored DS4 which is really weird and it always pulls to one side no matter how hard I try to hit it center or even pull it the other way so I guess the manufacturing of these things must be kind of sloppy. I'm not using that one of course because it makes the golf game unplayable but I use it for like racing games and such and then it works fine.

Had an argument with the girlfriend about what restaurant to eat at. We couldn’t decide so we just went home. Ended up actually finishing my final round with my Internet cutting in and out half the time. Swing was absolutely awful and I struggled to a -7. No top-10 for me but best finish I’ve had in the last 3 weeks. Oh that’s right, I haven’t played in the last 3 weeks. Now I remember why. Welp, guess I’ll see what my ‘rent a girlfriend for 24hrs’ wants to do before bed. Goodnight gentlemen.

Soooo... JT Current needs -13 to tie... -14 to win and can't make the tea due to a bad prawn sandwich...
Congratulations, I think, go to Vitaly. Almost a perfect week for him... If only it were a bit windier!

Well I got caught up in a great day on the water and didn’t complete the tourney. Nice win Vitaly... you would have been tough to catch!
