Wish I had been playing this well all season so I could have made the Ryder Cup, but I think that ship has sailed... There's no Ryder Cup to make - AFAIK we only play it even years just like real life.
Time your form for about 12 months from now

On an off note anybody know why Fred Tilmant from Belgium changed his name to Fred Preston from France? Hmmmm Old news mate, but no idea.

Probably due to the vodka..........(controversial )

Your target, should you choose to accept it, is a medium -21 for R3 & R4

I actually had a really nice craft vodka on Saturday night at a mates barbecue. A lovely little Japanese number - Haku. Was a real winner. Straight, with just a twist of garnish and it was more than acceptable.

Last place does 5 shots of Haku to the eye!

-12, -11, -14, -13 for a -50 total. Will be short by at least a few shots for a win. But has a half decent chance for a top 5.
Hit it well for the most part. Definitely some fore lefts that had me losing my mind at times but only 1 bogey in 72 holes.
That bogey was a lovely putt off the green in rd 1 from 13 feet for birdie. Still waiting for 4 good rounds in a row putting on tgctours. Long overdue.
Definitely still putted decent tho. But just sooooo many burn the edge minimal breaking putts from 9 to 12/15 feet which is frustrating. Including 4 on back 9 of round 4 that will cost me.
Overall very nice RCR. Wish the pins were tougher and the wind wasn't so benign for most of the tournament but can't have it all I guess.
Good luck to those still to tee it up!

Don't know about that mate, that's a cracking score, in with a shout of winning it I'd say! -37 for me, 3 good rounds, but my 3rd round was terrible, was carving it all over the place and had a 4 putt from 20 odd feet to boot. Maybe a Top 30 if lucky.

Anyway, I'll be at Portrush for the Open (just down the road from me). Its around 200 bloody quid to play that course and nothing but rough and bunkers, nightmare! If anyone has any requests for what I should shout when the boy Eldrich is on his backswing let me know. Should add to the entertainment value.

Geez some of these scores are too damn good!! I don’t know what it is about this course but I can’t score at all. Played 2 practice rounds at -6 and -3. The -3 included a quad in there somewhere.
So figuring I needed mucho practice I played all 4 rounds of the Euro event which is on the same course and shot a lovely -27. Damn with that I couldn’t even compete with top 10 on that tour.
If I weren’t a glutton for punishment I’d sit this one out. But I’ll likely shoot the first two rounds with my score in the low to mid teens and be done with it minus a busted controller.
I don’t use ghosts. Maybe that will change this week???

Should have stayed and played Euro looking for a promo mark. Instead played solid, but not special and pretty crap-tacular over the weekend rounds. I doubt -17 makes the cut, but if it does I will be watching for a 70th place finish.

Played my own way, he went down the right fairways, I went down the centre. Slowed me down waiting for his shot. When I saw he wasn't landing 6ft from the hole & had his own problems wasn't so frustrated with mine. More importantly didn't take that frustration through the next 3 holes, just Flintstone clubbing them. Helped & made the rds more enjoyable... If you follow this & win, I take full credit & the jug.

Shot -4 in the first round and almost just shut the game off. Good thing, because I had an absolute out of body experience in rounds 2, 3 with -14 and -13 and the first nine of round 4 with -8. A double on the back cost me dearly but I was exhilarating being that far up the leaderboard on the final day at The Open.
