My list is very similar to 14 months ago but with a few changes Here is my current list: Name your 5 favorite and 5 least favorite PGA Tour players. They can be any nationality, but they must possess a PGA Tour card. No PGA Tour champions players, European tour players (unless they have a PGA Tour card) or WEB.com tour players. They also must be active on tour. Here are my 5 favorite golfers (no order) 1. Tiger Woods- One who got my inspired to start golfing, one of my sports heroes. 2. Rory Mcilroy- Incredible swing, got a good demeanor and just a beast of a golfer when he's on his A game. 3. Jon Rahm- When he attended ASU, him and I played a few rounds together at ASU's golf course. We didn't plan on playing together that first time, but on one hole play was really slowed down so he offered for me to join him for the remainder of the round. I thought this gesture was so classy on his part. Really down to Earth guy who is such a gentleman. He was always giving me advice and encouragement about my golf game and within 2 months, I went from a 7 handicap to a 3 handicap. He's also been working on his attitude this year which is admirable.4. Jordan Spieth- So solid, gritty as hell, high golfing IQ, not to mention he is so humble and mature and he revolves his life around his family which is something more people should emulate. 5. Rickie Fowler- Steady Eddie, wish he'd win more but he is a model of consistency and as shown today and in other occasions, he can absolutely ball and game. I love his sportsmenship and class as well. When Reed won today, he was their to greet him and was genuinely happy for him. Also, when other golfers have won in the past he was there to greet and embrace them as well. 6. Phil Mickelson- this dude has become a joy to follow in the last year. He's dancing video is amazing, his workday commercials are solid, and his IG stuff is pure gold. He continually wears all-black, continually aggressive and hits bombs Crazycanuck1985Honorable mentions for favorite pros: Justin Rose, Tony Finau, Henrik Stenson, Justin Thomas, Charley Hoffman, Hudson Swafford, Adam Scott 5 least favorite golfers (no particular order:) 1. Patrick Reed- Arrogant punk, he is a heck of a golfer but he has been accused of cheating, stealing, and is just a real piece of work it would appear. 2. Matt Kuchar- used to like this guy but turns out he's a douchenozzle. Cheapstake, tries to take illegal drops, trash-talks and is just a pain-in-the bleep. 3. Rory Sabbatini- thought he was hot-stuff on the golf course, played ahead of playing companion Ben Crane because Crane was supposedly playing too slow. Called Tiger as beatable as ever and then Woods proceeded to win each event in his next six starts. 4. Dustin Johnson- one of the most overrated golfers of all time. He is almost 34 years old has 17 career tour wins and only 1 major and everyone thinks he is one of this generation's premier golfers. Propensity for choking...not an upstanding individual. Been known to be a crack-head, infidelity issues a while back, etc. 5. Kevin Chappell- hate his demeanor, his swing is ridiculous has a poor attitude out on the course and is very standoffish. This year at the Phoenix Open he was very rude to a couple of kids who wanted autographs. Keep in mind this was a Tuesday morning at about 9am on the driving range. We are not talking about during a tournament round. Show a bit of class Chappy and sign those autographs, it takes 2 minutes. 6. Ian Poulter- Arrogant jerk, runs his mouth off, last week he looked like a bamboon pounding his chest to force a playoff against Hossler. Poulter is constantly complaining about how courses aren't playing fairly as an excuse for his poor play. Honorable mentions for least favorites: Chesson Hadley, William McGirt, Kevin Na, JB Holmes, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia. If you want an explanation on an honorable mention, I will be happen to oblige but for the sake of wordiness, I figured I'd keep those explanations for further inquiry on this thread. Only modifications I made was moving Mickelson into 6th favorite, Finau and Adam Scott into honorable mentions for favorites, and moving Kuch to second last favorite and Sergio Garcia into least favorite honorable mentions

I don't really watch enough golf to have a strong opinion, but I'll play anyway Favourites- Fleetwood- top guy, humble, but still good in interviews. (Not boring.) Excellent player who consistently does well in majors. Amazing in Ryder cup. Rahm- hugely talented, young player who must win a major soon. Always contending. Rose- amazing player, great career. So glad he found something with the putter, coz he deserved to win things. Winning Olympic gold was special too. Scott- won me a lot of money with his masters performances, really nice guy, amazing tee to green player. Fowler- good guy and amazing player. Insanely good putter, which makes it all the more surprising he's never won a major. Don't like- I'll start by saying there's none I feel super strongly on. Woods- I actually enjoyed him winning the masters, but he's a weird guy. All the scandal made him look a complete douche, plus he's got a weird obsession with the military. Reed- comes across like a d1ck, then you read about him and yeah, he's a d1ck. Bubba- many examples of douchey behaviour to caddies, fans, interviewers, but also don't like the evangelical religious stuff, most obviously the homophobic stuff.

Me too can't follow enough golf in these last two years (I have no tv at home and here in Italy there's a tremendous war against streaming sites and if I still find how to follow f1,NBA and soccer, it is almost impossible to follow golf or indycar. I really need to find a way), so my list it could sound a bit oldie (but Goldie ) 1 - Phil Mickelson. He's the man, for me. 2 - Tiger. I agree about the fact is a douche and not a good example as a family man etc..but I strongly believe that a great sportsman is like an artist. His life don't matters. Himself, don't matters. Only his legacy is important. And even if I could dislike him as a person, i could never deny that he changed the golf. And how golf is perceived from people. Maybe without him this site, this forum, this almost 20 years of golf games, could never existed. So I just can't put him out of this list . 3 - Graeme McDowell. When the ball burns, he's the man. The classic kind of guy that is better to have in your team that against. I respect him so much... 4 - Tommy Fleetwood. I agree totally with Ikeet. How i could don't love this guy? 5 - Henrik Stenson. Some season ago, he played a great season and for some reason I started to like him really much, but I can't explain exactly why. I wish also to give some special mention to Francesco Molinari. Not cause is an Italian golfer ( I'm not particularly nationalist, especially on sports), but cause honestly he really surprised me. I couldn't bet a cent on him, some year ago. I don't know if you know this, but some years ago, for almost every italian golf expert, he was the weaker of the Molinari brothers. His bro Eduardo was considered way better then him (and i still believe that it was actually true), then he broked his hand and after various surgeries and a lot of reeducations, he simply struggled to be competitive again. Francesco was considered a good approacher but a too awful putter and a guy who struggles too much under pressure, to compete properly on PGA..and actually he was..but I have to admit that he became a really good and consistent player, working really hard. A real surprise, for me. About disliked golfers... I don't like Ian Poulter and Luke Donald..a lot overrated, for me. I dislike also Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy, but only cause their style never excited me. And yes, Rory Sabbatini (even cause I'm still pretty sure he changed his nationality just to have some chance to play at Tokyo 2020..a pretty coward's move, if it is true).

Oooo l like this thread! Thanks for starting. Favorites: 1. Tiger: Simply the legend. Changed the game. So exciting to watch his fire and energy. 50 years from now, I could see his legacy and status being similar to that of Babe Ruth, almost a mythical being. 2. Phil: My fellow lefty. Phil the Thrill. Never shys away from a challenge. Short game wizard. Has said he loves coming to MN my home state. Want so bad for him to get that damn US Open! 3. Spieth: Around my age. Very classy individual. Can get on my nerves a little with his whining when things don’t go his way but I do that on the course too 4. Rickie: Seems like a cool guy. Definitely one who deserves a major and I always pull for him 5. Rory: Honestly if you would have asked me 2 years ago, he would have been at the top of my least favorite list. Used to be a little chump, immature. But now he’s really grown a lot. Least favorites 1. Sergio: Not really for any personal reason, just that he’s the arch enemy to my favorite player so it kind of fits. They do not like each other 2. DJ: Overrated. Crack-head. Boring personality. What’s there to like? 3. Bubba: Give him some points for being a lefty but doesn’t make up for his dickish personality 4. Kevin Kisner: Don’t really know why but just don’t like seeing his name on the leaderboard. This is getting tougher as these last ones I wouldn’t say I dislike, it’s just I like others more. 5. Patrick Cantlay: Again no real reason, it’s just that he’s been playing well lately, good for him, but I’d rather see one of my favorites playing well. So he’s getting in the way of that Please don’t take my last two picks for least favorite in poor taste. I was struggling to fill the last two spots and that’s all I could think of. The first 3 however, yeah I don’t like them. Haha

1. Tiger Woods- One who got my inspired to start golfing, one of my sports heroes. I think I told you last time you posted this that it's totally hypocritical to judge DJ's private life in those terms whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that Tiger is guilty of most of the same things.
And it's still totally hypocritical now. It's very 2019 - "Tiger is my guy so I will ignore his various shortcomings, DJ isn't so i'll give him hell for them". If you think character or their personal behaviour matters, you should judge them all on equal terms, surely?
By any objective measure DJ is one of this generations premier golfers.
He has more PGA Tour wins than anyone currently playing who isn't Tiger or Phil.
He's been World No 1 for long spells of time
You don't achieve either of those things without being one of the best. He doesn't have as many majors as he should, but almost every PGA tour player would swap their careers for his. Apart from Speith, Rory & Koepka, nobody born since 1980 has a better record (or more majors) than him.
You call Fowler a "steady eddie" for being consistent and not winning. You call DJ, who has way more wins and more majors, a "choker". Que?
Just because you don't like the guy doesn't mean you can twist reality. He's one of the best whether you like him or not

I'd go tie between Spieth and Bubba. Any player who has the audacity to unprofessionally ridicule their caddie in public like these two do 24/7 is never going to get any love from me.
They are the one hitting the shots and making the final decision. To blame their caddie is such a joke. I don't know how anyone can root for them.

5 Favourites:
1. Rory McIlroy - I love his swing and while being 5ft 9/10 he bombs it a mile! 2. Tiger Woods - I don't judge Tiger by his personal life, only by his golf. What a legend, great mind, great skill. Loved watching him win The Masters this year. 3. Phil Mickelson - I think Phil is awesome. His social media is great. Funny but can also be very informative and helpful with golf. Always has time for the fans. 4. Rickie Fowler - Awesome guy. Looks cool, has great game and is a great role model for the younger kids. Always want him to do well. 5. Eddie Pepperell - Great guy. Awesome on Twitter and is very good at golf! (also born in the same city as me)
Honorable mentions: Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Thomas, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Joaquin Niemann, Charley Hoffman, Gary Woodland, Tyrrell Hatton
5 Least Favourite:
1. Patrick Reed - I just get the "complete idiot" vibes from him and also he has been accused of many things like Matt said in his original post. 2. Paul Casey - I don't have an exact reason why i don't really like him but there is something that is stopping me from doing so. 3. Matt Kuchar - I used to like him but there have been so many things recently that have put him in this 5 here. 4. Patrick Cantlay - It's the shuffling of his feet for what seems like an hour before every shot that bugs me. 5. Adam Scott - There is something about him and i can't put my finger on it (that's what she said)
Honorable mentions: Sergio Garcia, J.B. Holmes, Ian Poulter, Branden Grace.

Vijay Singh is my least favourite.
There was a tournament a few years ago where a female player (I think it was Michelle Wie) was invited to play. Singh said he wouldn't play if a female was playing, before backtracking on his comment. The draw was made and Singh was drawn to play with Wie. Singh withdrew, citing a wrist injury.

My favorites are all for pretty much the same reason: they’re great guys who give back to the fans a lot and are extremely talented at the game 1. Jordan Spieth- at the 2013 Memorial Tournament I followed him on Sunday and there was this little kid who followed him for all 18 holes (This kid was like 10 years old). At the end of the round, Jordan walked over to him and handed him his glove and a ball. He was 19 at the time, so it was a very mature and generous thing to do. From what I’ve seen at later tournaments and on TV, it’s not an uncommon thing for Jordan to do that. That kid is my nephew.Basically our entire family has been a big fan of him ever since! 2. Justin Thomas 3. Rickie Fowler 4. Phil Mickelson 5. Justin Rose Honorable Mention: Erik Compton is on the web.com (Korn Ferry, wtf kind of name is that ) tour but he finished T2 at the 2014 US Open after two heart transplants. Also, as much as I hate how much the media orgasms over him, Tiger Woods has done more for this game than any other player and his comeback story is incredible Least favorites: d!ckheads is really all I need to say to describe them 1. Patrick Reed 2. Pat Perez 3. Billy Horschel 4. Rory Sabbatini 5. Dustin Johnson Dishonorable mention: Tyrell Hatton is on the European tour but he’s nothing but a whiny b!tch Also, while he’s still not near the bottom five, Matt Kuchar quickly went from one of my favorites to one of my least favorites.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Matt Wallace? He’s a winner I reckon but his determination makes him a right ‘see you en tee’
I’m European so I love Molinari, Fleetwood, Poulter, Rose, McIlroy, McDowell, Garcia, Donald, Stenson and the like. Really easy going guys ya know.
I dislike yanks like Spieth, Mickelson, Woods, Fowler, Thomas, DJ etc... really OTT ‘get in the hole’ ‘mashed potato’ people ya know.
Only exception is Lee Westwood. He is a fat lad from Worksop that can’t putt for shiiiiiit

Hmmm, I haven't got many I actively dislike, although being American is normally a good starting point!
Favourite players:
Tommy Fleetwood - Top lad, top player, pretty sure he's going to win me some money very soon. Maybe even this week.....
Lee Westwood - Another really good lad, great Ryder Cup record, 2nd in every Major at least once and very unlucky not to win one. His time has probably gone now (although you never know, Darren Clarke?...).
Chris Wood - Bristol lad and City fan, good player but has had back problems on account of being about 9 feet tall. Had some good European Tour wins and has shown well in a few Majors, still relatively young.
Rory - Total joy to watch when he's on it. That swing (Although not today )
Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia - both for the exact same reasons. Ryder Cup legends and they both get under the skins of the 'Mashed Potato' lot. Loved it when Sergio won the Masters.
ANY European in with a shout of winning a Major at that moment in time.
From history - Seve. God.
Americans I don't want to like but can't help myself - Lefty is a class act in every way, and Rickie Fowler, I really hope he wins one but he may be destined for Westwood's fate. Honourable mention to Justin Thomas for wearing a shirt and tie on his first Open appearance. Smooth.
Players I don't like:
Patrick Reed - Want to throw something at the telly whenever his face is on it.
Tiger - I fully appreciate how much he has done for the sport, how amazing he was during his dominant spell, and how great the comeback story of being gifted this year's Masters was. I just don't like him. Gobbing all over the green when he misses a putt doesn't help.
Bryson Dechambeau and Xander Schauffele - What sort of stupid pretentious names are those?!
Brooks Koepka - BORING! Honestly, my ZX Spectrum had more personality.
Yeah, that's about it

Holy Crap… WTF... How come Europeans don't like American golfers... I love plenty of golfers from around the world.. Seve was one of my favorites... I'm a Molinari fan.. I think Fleetwood will win several majors before he is done.. I also love the history of the game.. Old Tom and Young Tom.. (I plan on paying respects when I visit Scotland soon).. Harry Vardon.. The history of Willie and Mungo Park.. I love reading about all that stuff from way back when.. Before the Claret Jug, the winner of The Open received a belt.. I love the fact that Young Tom won his third Open in a row and he got to keep the belt.. They did not think anyone would win three in a row when they made that a rule... Because he got to keep the belt, they did not have The Open in 1871 because they had no prize to give out.. No belt = can't have a tournament... When they came back in 1872, Young Tom won his 4th Open in a row.. He was given a silver medal.. (this is why they give silver medal to low amateur) The Claret Jug finally arrived in 1873.. If Young Tom would not have won three in a row - they would still be giving out the belt and there would be no Claret Jug.. Ha... Young Tom Morris wearing the Belt awarded to the Champion Golfer of the year.. I was rooting hard for Lowry this weekend.. I don't understand not liking a golfer because of the country they are from.. It's okay to root for your side when the Ryder Cup thing is happening.. But after that - get real.. As far as Americans go.. Tiger - Nicklaus, and Watson were all fun to watch.. How can you not like the history of American golf.. Palmer.. Nicklaus... Watson... Bobby Jones.. Hagen.. Snead.. I like Fowler and hope he breaks through soon.. I like DJ.. Calm on the course.. Golfers I don't care for Brooks - arrogant d-bag Spieth - spoiled child yelling at his caddy Sergio - big crybaby (I did root for him the last day when he won the Masters) Mickelson - I can't stand his little fake smile and thumbs up when he rarely makes a putt.. DeChambeu - dude is a dork Henrick Stenson - deep down I think this guy is a ass..
