Progress has slowed a bit, will have to see whether or not the end of March is still a reasonable timeline. In the meantime, the mind still runs well for hole design but just doesn't feel like the time for that, so on to a bit of planting.
Hole 12 half-planted is pictured below:

So many things to change on this course, but trying not to for most of it. Only going to touch the bunkers and rough texture here aside from unfinished planting.

New 17th hole surfaced: Believe it or not, the sculpting is more aggressive in the final down lighting angle photo.

Eff those down-lighting holes. Looking good.

No update means no progress.
Jk.
Planted 9-11 and most of 15-17 since last update. Next up is redoing hole 18.
and if you must have pictures, here are the only ones I have taken in the last several days. Top one is hole 10, bottom one is 17 with a tiny bit of planting looking back at the tees (which took way to long to settle on a configuration for).

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and to keep the cliches going, I’m looking forward to hearing that fat lady when this one is done

I'm stumped on this green complex. I feel like it should work, but I just can't quite get it to. No idea if it's just not an idea worth pursuing, or if I don't have the understanding, creativity, or skill with the sculpting tools to pull it off. I didn't think I could get the hill angled in such a way that a high side bunker would sit naturally either. Is it just something simple that planting or careful tree placement + tree height for framing could address? There are other options that, if I can't figure this out later today, I will probably just blow up this green idea, pull the hill back a bit, add more fairway and a runoff area to the left for more of a Knoll-style green and call it good enough. (this isn't quite a current pic but still shows the same issues I was having)

It's really hard to tell from just the one picture. Could you pop a couple more up with one a bird's eye view and a rough idea of how you want the approach to play? Just not sure what I'm looking at as things are, so any advice I give would likely be counter-productive.

Sure. Let me open it up and snap some more photos.
I wonder if the answer is just to move the green complex 20-30yds to the right and make where it is now fairway. Might be as simple as that? Only reason I'm not sure is that I love the way the current setup would play, just trying to think of ways to keep green access from the left portion of the drive landing area as unforgiving as it is now with a new green site.

Par? Approach length/location? Impossible to answer without that.

I'm also confused as to what the problem is that you're having. It looks as though it fits well from that first picture.

It appears that from the left you'd be hitting towards a green that slopes more away from you than it would be if you were on the right. And if the approach is under a 5 iron it wouldn't matter anyway because a 6iron or less has enough stoping power off the fairway in this game to hold most greens.

Plus everything looks well sculpted and fits into the terrain nicely. Just leave it and move on.
