course was extremely laggy for me on ps4. Yep! If you're using a Pro with a 4k TV, you can go into the PS settings and set display to 1080p rather than automatic/2080p - will reduce picture quality a little, but I found on my round last night that it does help alleviate some of the frame rate issues on this particular course.
PITA having to switch it back and forth when going to other games, but hopefully this course is a one off. It looks nice for sure, but dipping down to single figure FPS does take that shine away.

-10 opening round for moi - played pretty well but those very narrow pinch points on the fairways were sometimes a struggle to find. Liked the view on the very claustraphopbic opening hole with those massive looming trees. But as others have said the course is very pretty when it's smooth - when it's not, it's pretty ugly.

Probably best round I've ever played on the PGA in the first round. Regressed to my mean for the remaining rounds. It was fun making all those birdies in the first round though!

Played your ghost in Round 1 and you chipped on the green. Seemed you were right around 100ft out but like 2 feet downhill. Happened on the back 9 I believe

I was 101 FT away. I didn't know elevation was a factor. If it is, it is an honest mistake and I will accept the dq.

I knew it was close but couldn't see how far exactly it was. 101 Ft. 78Ft with the 2 ft downhill decline. Definitely puttable, but I flopped it because I thought it was legal at >100 ft without accounting for ascent or descent. Sorry to everyone if I broke the rule, if I am dq'd that's cool with me.

Your within the rules Austin, elevation isn't included. It's certainly not in the wording on the rules page and IIRC has been mentioned on the forums by admins before that it's just the distance that counts...
Nice round dude ð

Yeah I'm going to have to drop to 2k to see if that helps stabilize the frame rate. Way too many slow backswings. Like 40% of my swings which is way out of the ordinary.

I was consistent this week - 4 rounds of -11. Didn't hit my goal of no bogies (put one in the water on 10 and had to re-tee - love ya HB with those red stake rules) - and failed to birdie or better every par5 (had I done that I may be leading).
Hate to admit but I enjoyed the course more along the way... my one practice round, I thought it was a little silly... but then the last par5 on the back, if you got it within 20 feet, the putt was very easy... Most of the time you would get rewarded for hitting the correct shot... which I think is good designing. The 175 pace played a little odd to me, especially on some makeable downhillers.
I've uploaded all 4 rounds for those that care to see.

Cut watching for me.
-12 for me in round 1. Then an absolute disgusting rd 2 of -3. Fast downswing city on all chips and flops on 3 gimmie up and ins. Just left me fuming all round as it seemed like everything that could have went wrong did.
Course is good. Very unique which is always great to see.
Sucks tournament is over after 2 rds but looking forward to next week as I have been crushing my practice rounds at the Major course.

Elevation can't be a factor, that's just silly, a hundred feet is a hundred feet. Turrible first 6 holes, just mind boggling with a +1. Recovered a bit going -10 the rest of the way for a -9 first round. Suppose I should mention the 3 chip ins which were necessary considering the 55% GIR. Changed up how I deal with the wind, moving the ball against it instead of allowing the wind to take it. Hopefully it gets better. One of these days boys, one of these days. Really enjoy the course!

Thanks Dale for getting this course on your schedule.
My goals when I started designing this course: 1. Create a unique and memorable golf course that you wouldn't forget about in a week or two. 2. Provide a fair test for the best of the best. (this course was not designed for beginners or below average players). 3. Provide multiple options off tees. 4. Reward great shots (especially approaches).
Frame Rate- I only used about 60% of the plant meter and for the PGA version I eliminated almost all of the multi-plantings. I didn't want to take Driver out of the player's hands- but in many cases a perfectly shaped shot would be required if you opt for the big stick. 2 or 3 wood is almost always the safest shot off the tee. Good Luck and I'm rooting for you guys to tear it up.

In at -39 with rounds of -12,-3, -7 and -17.
Took on fast downswing roulette and defeated it in round 4! What I did differently compared to rounds 2 and 3; I haven't a clue. Lol. Could have been a really special round too cause in that -17 I missed 2 minimal breaking putts from 8 and 12 feet.
Alas, I don't think it will matter as -15 at the halfway point will probably miss the cut by 1 or 2 shots. Smh.
My chipping was a disaster all week. Which is something that can't happen next week as the winner is going to be the one with the most chip ins and most made 18 to 30 footers since so many of those pins are tough to get too.
Good luck to everyone still to play!
