I have absolutely no idea what I am going to do yet, but I'm excited to be a part of this contest and am looking forward to getting started.

Session One I eventually settled on the Delta theme. Really want to base my course somewhere in Australia. Also decided to have a crack at the following required elements; At least ONE Drive-able Par 4 At least ONE Par 3 greater than 230 yards (210 metres) At least THREE Par 4’s under 400 yards (366 metres) At least ONE three shot Par 5 At least ONE hole with elevation change equal to or greater than 125 feet (38 metres) Total course yardage no greater than 6750 (6172 metres) 18 holes routed and pretty happy with my progress tonight. Looking forward to starting some surfaces tomorrow. Peace out. ✌

Session Two First hole is coming along. Decided to do a cart path which I will probably regret. But thought it was time I give one a go.

First up, awesome to see someone else in metric 👍
I’d 100% cut the cart path to go down that slope in a buggy, because Evil Kneivel. Maybe some bushes up in there (he said, having never designed a course).

Love the look off that first tee - cart path looks good as well and frames the hole nicely.

Session Six, Seven & Eight Have decided to call my course Windjana. Named after the Windjana Gorge National Park in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Have now completed surfaces for the first 14 holes, including going back and laying down some heavy rough. Avoiding the squiggly lines was a nightmare, but I am happy with the finished look. Also spent a lot of time working on my sandy river beds and the gorge itself. Made a start on my clubhouse area too. ✌

Seriously, I might have to steal some ideas from that clubhouse. Looks great so far.

Session Nine, Ten, Eleven & Twelve Surfaces of all 18 holes now completed. Working on some of the more detailed sculpting and planting now. Things are starting to take shape. Great look you have going here! Impressed...

Almost every designer neglects their teeboxes to fancy up other areas. These pics should serve as a lesson that teeboxes are VERY important and can look great with some time and attention. Looking sweet so far!
