Complete and utter shower of dog toss for me lads. 36 and out again, and again, had a practice rd of -10... I find myself -11 thru R2. I should give up this practice lark. See you next week 😂 🤭

I had a dream last night, well it was more of a tragic vision, that I’d been API’d.
Thankfully, I’ve not been, but it might have been better to have been and saved myself some more red marks!!!

See you next week 😂 Right there with you buddy. My second ever missed cut. First time I blamed it on clanking a flag stick with a wedge. Today I had a zillion fast downswings. Missing fairways, water, you name it. Not an easy course to score at with these greens and no light rough. Maybe if I played more i would have better tempo but my heart ain’t in it anymore.

I'm pretty sure that HB is goofing around with the tempo, doesn't feel exactly the same as it was. Seems harder to hit P/P on PS4, lately I'm getting lots of F/P that are flirting with slow downswings. All that practicing with a metronome! Seems like that transition from backswing to downswing had changed. I fell that I have to "hammer" down the stick faster to stay within' the perfect downswing. Anyways... maybe me too!

Your bad day on ps4 = 25 non perfect downswing tempos over 2 rounds (with no VF or VS) Best score on XB1 through 2 rounds = 32 non-perfect downswings (including VF and VS) So your bad day at the office was much better than the best XB1 score tempo wise - though he did manage to shoot 1 shot lower.

What’s the best tempo? Anyone have all perfects? Happens pretty often on PS4. That amazes me that anybody genuine would actual TRY for perfect tempo the whole way round. I rely on fasts (back and down) in order to make up distances and miss loads of fairways and greens.

I rely on fasts (back and down) in order to make up distances and miss loads of fairways and greens. The following data is from Promo event (Master club users) . Number of rounds with 100% perfect downswings PS4: 49 (1520) = 12.9% PC: 7 (420) = 1.7% XB1: 0 (683) = 0 % Number of rounds with 90%+ perfect downswings PS4: 502 (1520) = 33% PC: 49 (425) = 11.6% XB1: 0 (683) = 0% Number of rounds with 80%+ perfect downswings PS4: 936 (1520) = 61.6% PC: 153 (425) = 36% XB1: 13 (683) = 1.9% Highest XB1 tempo was 87.5% Pretty safe bet you aren't relying on over 20% of your shots being off tempo during a round like the XB1 guys are (at the high end). Most have 30-40% of their downswings off tempo. Surprising myself with how much XB1 is below even PC at the high end of tempo - think mouse users can skew the PC numbers up as they have an easier time with it.

I hit every driver fast down and compensate with cut when needed, or at least I try to. I also hit a lot of approaches that way with a big draw. It’s a big reason I’m so sh%$, I’m sure, but I like the creativity that it brings and it makes me feel good, banging it out there past other puny ghosts.

Looking back, I was better before I started chasing fasts for distance.
Maybe I should try and fall in line with the Perfect PS4 guys :/

I think I'd like to see you stream and count the times you hit an approach shot with a purpose fast tempo. Especially inside 200 yards - I have a hard time believing you do this on purpose (on approach shots) for any club you can dial a distance with loft. In your R1 this week you had 2 fast downswings on approach shots, one from Heavy Rough and one from fairway. In R2 you had 3 fast tempos on approach shots, one was a 2nd shot on a par 5. Hardly seems like you are doing this on purpose throughout your rounds with any regularity. The majority of your approach shots into the green are all perfect downswing tempo. 5 fast downswings on approach shots in 2 rounds is an extremely small amount compared to your XB1 friends. Just quickly looked at another full time XB1 PGA player and he had 15 bad tempo shots on approaches in the first two rounds this week. Just trying to paint a picture for what these guys are up against.
