Another fantastic Lidar course by Kent. This one uses the Delta Theme, and it really works for this track. By far his best work so far. Challenging, but accesible for all skill levels (this is one of his "easier" Lidar courses), and really nice to look at. Love this course.

This course visually looks AWESOME. I haven't played it yet but watched someone play it on stream last night. The greens seemed a bit unrealistic on max speed but won't know until I try it. gregfordyce If you think this layout is nice, just wait until he finishes The Ace Club
NobleMan I have noticed that the fairway width in-game always ends up being slightly wider than it should be. For some reason, it adds another 1yd or so of fairway on the outside of it. I tried compensating for that with my Jasna OSM and it worked really well. Here, you can notice it in some places where the bunkers eat into the fairway a tad where they probably wouldn't IRL, but I am being pretty nitpicky.

Thanks for pointing that out arielatom ! If you think those greens are wicked, go play the bucks club or Merion! I personally love hard and fast greens.

I haven't gotten around to either of those two yet, I'll play at least one of them before Jericho. Feel free to try my Engineers Beta and let me know what you think of the green speed. It's WAY slower than I'd typically set a course to but you can't go anywhere above moderate / med fast and have 4 unique hole locations per green.
No problem about the fairway width thing: I wonder if we should update one of the guides or videos to point that out.

Really enjoyed this one,one of the best LIDAR courses i have enjoyed so far,Not sure about the 187 greens and a few seem to slope front to back which really makes it tricky, but overall a really fair test looked great designed good as well.Real pleasure to play.

Thanks for the feedback yeltzman . On their website they say : Jericho National made its debut in 1999 and was designed by the world-class architectural team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Known for the dramatic bunkering and contoured greens, Jericho National has quickly become one of the most challenging and enjoyable golf courses in the region. It was designed to play firm with fast putting surfaces and this concept has remained since inception. The natural beauty offered by Jericho Mountain and its surroundings make for a spectacular golf experience on this exceptionally conditioned private club.

This looks awesome. I'm going to try this one later.
Questions, though: I know what lidar is (sort of) but what does the designer have to do? I think planting, right? What else is involved?
Have console players still had issues playing? I read people saying it locks up either loading or while playing on some. Any idea why (what about the course locks it up)?

Lydar courses are true to life. The reason consoles lock is because of the resource meter when you do all the extras like building, planting, water falls etc. Most of the work is done in Open Street Map website. You do everything that you do with a fantasy course except take the time to figure out the layout! My kind of designing.

Nice burysaints29 . The Ace Club is close to being finished. Just need to do some planting and do some course inspection. It should be finished by this weekend. At around 7400 yards, it should play well with the master clubs.
