NobleMan it looks like some kind of bug in the TGC designer. Can you send the course on Dropbox? I'm looking at your preview and see if the Driver goes 280 yards and it's well over halfway. It looks like the courses are playing as intended, but don't show the yardages correctly.
For example on number two, it looks like after your drive you'll still have 145 yards in, which is the proper playing yardage. Can you confirm that it plays correctly (Driver / 9-iron ish)? What happens if you delete all of your holes and re-add them in the designer?
Plugging in the numbers gave me: secant(38.996 degrees) = 1.28669. When I measured one of the holes in game, and compared that to a zoomed in Google Maps, I found out your in-game to real life ratio was.... 1.29133858268
So unfortunately, it's because they are using that VERY BAD projection that isn't local enough. This is why you see a lot of data use a "State Plane" to make sure that things still "square up" even if you go a far distance.
That's the only option I see there, so I think you'll need to find an alternate lidar source? Or find some way to have the data converted into Maryland state plane?
I found lidar files that seem to work. The 2018 collection here seems to be in EPSG 2893. The problem is that there are thousands of files in over 10 files that are over 10GB each. I'll keep hunting through to find the ones you need...
NobleMan what about Four Streams in Beallsville? Any idea if the LiDAR data for there has the same issue? What about Caves Valley and Baltimore Country Club? Is Laurel Hill worth considering as well? It's supposed to be pretty nice irl and the layout looks cool. Also, what about The Ace Club? I thought about picking it over Jasna Polana (pretty sure it's a better course than Jasna), it looks downright awesome. If no one gets to it in the next 6 months or so and I'm still trucking on these lidar courses I might do it then.
If none of those appeal then I'd have some other suggestions if you can't find one. Courses like Metedeconk National, maybe Glen Mills if you're down for fixing up the OSM data a bit (I put together a heightmap for it and the OSM work was pretty messy, but it's a good course). No idea what architecture styles appeal to you most. New Jersey National looks really cool but I looked at in 3d, it was good but not great. Maybe similar to or not quite as nice as Jericho National. What about White Manor Country Club and also Applebrook? I was going to save Fieldstone (Deleware) for myself but if you want to do it then go ahead: It's really cool.I looked at Glenmaura as well and while it has some pretty neat holes I think Fieldstone is a better layout (they're both Hurdzan courses).
Or if you're really up for a challenge (check to make sure the lidar data is ok first), Anne Arundell Mannor. Super exclusive course originally built by a CEO who was rejected from Augusta, designed by Arthur Hills. I marked it on OSM already as a potential future course for myself once more experienced with the designer, on most maps it's unmarked. If anything it would make TGC the only golf game in the world ever to have this course on it, possibly for the next 30+ years.

I'm having this same with my local course, rolling road golf club. It is Maryland as well. I have also noticed that the elevation is much more extreme than it is in real life. Judging by the video NobleMan posted, the elevation at Congressional was also out of whack.
West of there seems ok though. Jusdging by how Kermit's Musket Ridge RCR turned out I suspect the rest of the courses out there (Whiskey Creek, PB Dye, Little Bennett, Maryland National, Worthington Manor, Holly Hills, maybe Rocky Gap or Lodestone (iirc there's a very nice course right in Hagerstown too) might use that same LiDAR dataset in which case they would work. No idea if Four Streams is part of the same poor quality stuff or not.
Rolling Road a nice course crammed onto a really small property, definitely unique.
I used to live near Caves Valley and belonged to Chestnut before it closed After that my most played course was probably Greystone. It's a good course and worthy of a LiDAR RCR but the imagery seems kinda poor (and suspect it might have the same data problem: if BCC or Caves Valley has bad data then Greystone probably does too). The front nine has two brutal par 3s if you hit the ball far enough to play the Black or Grey tees comfortably.
