-8, -12,-10, -11 or 12 on the final round for a score of -41/42. Real easy course hope -20 will be enough to make the cut in this enlarged field.

Wow where to start with this one. I'll start with the numbers. 57-61-61-56 for 49 under in total. My best 4 round score, my best single round and an almost guaranteed Top 25. I should be pleased. But i'm not. Why? I bogied the 6th twice in exactly the same way in Round 2 & 3 (lost it right) and i missed three (yes THREE) putts from inside 6 feet in the 3rd round. I shot 3 under for the front 9 twice having played it in 8 under in Round 1. Now I won't pretend i lost enough shots that i cost myself the chance of a win, but i think 53-55 under, and an almost certain top 10, was easily possible. The course is being torn up to such an extent i can definitely see 10 people breaking into the - 50's (in fact 4 have already done so on PS4 alone). Never thought i'd be disappointed with -49 but here we are

Puhhhh... that sounds like almost unbeatable competition with my exemption here on the European Tour this week!
Practice rounds didn't work out that good, seems like I can't go really low on this course for some reason.
But I'll be a little wiser in a couple of hours when I'm going to start with R1...

More Hidden Links style courses, but maybe not on links theme until the wind is fixed. I wouldn't mind turning the difficulty up one more step from that even. And I am struggling to make cuts....

Hi, my first tourney with the big boys of European Tour, after earning card last week. Started first round, and played my best round - ever. I felt like Superman and Tiger in one person I shot (for me incredible) 55 round, -16 !!!! WOW. Round 2 and 3 I came back to earth 63 + 65. Last round again a good 59. So, in total a -42 !! I am satisfied with this end result. Maybe I can stay at European Tour? Who knows .....

Nice shooting. I started with an ok round of 61. Then followed that up with an ugly 64.... I really could NOT make any puts on round 2. Didnt make a birdie on the 7 first holes! In 3-7 mph. Thats just unheard of.. Almost ragequit, so I will take a day or two off before I play thru the last two rounds for practice sakes, as Im almost sure I wont make the cut with a -17... :/ Cut will be at atleast -21, and winnerscore will be -55.

The cut line for this one should be interesting - there are some really low scores to be had. Before it started, I thought the cut might be around -18 or -20, but looking at the early score postings for round one, it could be closer to -16.
Either way, I'm happy with my performance this week!

Should have played PGA this week...... Want to make WGC so stayed here to try and advance my money ranking as I'm no shoe in and now after this weeks performance I will probably take a real whack after missing the cut..... -5,-8,-1.-5 -19 tournament. Can never seem to score here. Don't know how you guys do it. Always miss shots I shouldn't here. Always put 2 in water around here it seems every round... :/ time to go take my frustrations out on the range!!! Adios

Here Here! The top designers are veryyyyyy good at course design but I feel the thing they focus on most is how pretty the course is. Difficulty need's to take centre stage for tour courses IMO.

I did everything I could at least. Was a bit lucky with low winds this time on R1 and R2. Shoot a very good 60 (for me), followed by a solid 61 in R2. That's much more than what I could expect after my (poor) training rounds.I'm happy the way I performed, now I'm a bit nervous about if this is enough to make the cut/tourcard.

Rookie on the European Tour with first time use of exemption. Hoping -11 and -8 will be enough to secure the card. Missed some really annoying 3-feet birdie putts on my 16th and 17th in the second round. Was thinking I at least needed a birdie on the 18th to be safe, and got it. Comfortable -10 and -11 in the last two rounds to finish at -40, but it's all about making the cut for me this week.

I agree, whilst Hidden Links proved that ultimately the best players still win even if you make it harder, it was a great challenge and for me at least, much more fun. Shooting a 64 in 15mph winds felt like an achievement. Here I was happy with my 56 & 57 but it’s just par for the course (pun intended) to the top players. Meanwhile the two 61’s felt like abject failure. With all the good Web.com players coming up I think we will soon have an event where you have to shoot two rounds in the 50’s just to make the cut, which is crazy. I wouldn’t lay into anyone who’s taken the time and effort to create a course, but I think to maintain the challenge courses need to be longer and/or firmer. The scoring will never be “realistic” but I do think it needs to be reigned in slightly.

Or - time to start stripping the assists.. If the guys in charge are sneaky enough about it they just might get away with it. Its really not that diffcult to play without assists, and it does bring putt make percentages down to a resonable level (still too easy though). Having no exact vind meter and scout cam also makes you think twice about going for that tucked pin, even if you know where to aim.
But enough sitting in the locker room complaining, time for me to get out there and see if I've got some rounds in the 50s in me.
