Figured I'd put the thread here since it is listed under the PGA. If there is another thread that I missed, mods can merge/move it.
Anyhoo... well where to start? I would say after last two events which were akin more to games of chance on where your ball would bounce in the fairway or around the greens, we got a pretty straight up course. I see some of the PGA folks went out and played it, scoring -17 and -18 on it, thankfully their scores won't count. Still I did a speed golf round there and shot a -13. So I'm expecting the top folks easily can get close to that -60 mark. I know one person looks to have shot -14,-14 in the first two rounds.
For some reason I get the feeling that we may have 12 spots open for the PGA and will have to deal with tiebreakers to get those 12. It should be interesting. It is going to take four very consistent rounds to make it this time.

Had time to play a round earlier and turned in a -11 61, not too bad I guess although I missed birdie putts on the par 3 8th and 12th by a combined 11 inches. Narrowly missed a couple eagle putts too.

There was a window where some PGA players could have requested a demotion this past week, so I would expect that number to be higher than 12. It was not an automatic grant, however.

Last time I looked I was Euro but hey ho. -18 for me early doors before the server/lag/tempo shyte struck. No fears the rounds just got worse and worse. But then again PS4 players have the shits and giggles........ had to play all 4 Prom event and Euro today due to going away all week. Think I finished here -45. Probably 2-3 shots light. Would love to see a self-demoted PGA player making it back to the PGA from the prom event. Oh the irony. They probably miss the jolly wheezes that frequent this den of inequity. play well all, esp the CC ‘masters club’ dudes struggling like smeg to get out of the grind fest. Don’t worry lads/lasses the season is only 3/5ths gone..... DP.

Had time to play a round earlier and turned in a -11 61, not too bad I guess although I missed birdie putts on the par 3 8th and 12th by a combined 11 inches. Narrowly missed a couple eagle putts too. Second round, aced 2, but had a slow downswing on 4 which forced me to settle for a birdie and then lipped out a birdie putt on 5. Had another slow downswing on 6 and had to save par from the bunker. Managed to miss birdie putts on 1, 3, and 7 too. Birdied the next 3 holes but then missed my approach on 11 and my chip somehow had like 15 yards of rollout into a severe uphill slope, and I missed the birdie putt. Tried to do a fast downswing off the tee on 12 but for whatever reason I can never do them intentionally no matter how hard I push the stick forward, even though they happen unintentionally every other hole a lot of the time. Speaking of which, I had an inexplicable fast downswing on my approach on 15 which should have been an easy birdie. Then I hit the pin on 16 and rolled 12 yards away to the fringe on the front of the green. Anyway, ended up shooting a -10 62.
Third round started with me actually sinking a tough putt after my side hill lie on my second shot did absolutely nothing. Followed that up by missing a long birdie putt by 8 inches on 2 after a fast downswing off the tee and then lipping out a 10 foot birdie on 3. I then missed a 9 foot birdie on 4. More fast downswings on 5 and 6, missed a 12 foot birdie on 7, missed a putt from the fringe on 8 by inches. Did manage to eagle 9 to get to -4 at the turn in the third round. Fast downswing on a pitching wedge flop on 11 sent it 15 yards long and I had to settle for par on that hole AGAIN. Missed a few more putts down the stretch but did make a tough eagle putt on 18 to finish with another 62.
Fourth round, missed a long birdie on 3 by 11 inches. Missed a 17 foot birdie on 4. Had fast downswings off the tee on 2 and 5. Missed a 13 foot birdie on 6. Slow downswing on my approach on 7. Lipped out a 10 foot birdie on 8. Got it together a bit, birdied 9, made tough 20 foot birdies on both 10 and 11. Then went on to par 4 of the next 5, only birdieing 14. Then I birdied the last 2 holes (narrowing avoiding the water on 18) to shoot a 64, -39 overall.
It's on top of the PC leaderboard at the moment but Deathstar is going to obliterate that number, and I'm sure some others will too. I'd really like to be back on PGA but I'm not sure that was sufficient to get there.

CC-Ber here, trying to use one of these promotion events to actually promote myself instead of choking in them like I usually do. Committed to using masters clubs and this time around I felt like I actually put together some decent rounds.....-38 overall.
Sitting on the 16th tee in the fourth round and saw my score had hit 40 under. Had only one bogey in all of my rounds to this point. Suddenly I let nerves get to to me and proceeded to send it into the water with very slow downswings on 2 of the last 3 holes. Argh!! With that being said I also had some big breaks including my 2nd ever albatross and a comically long birdie putt that just barely dropped in....so I guess it all evened out.
Definitely think we’re going to see a lot of great scoring and I have no idea if that -38 will be enough to move me up. I’d love to be a part of web.com or higher and I’m going to lose my mind if those last two bogeys end up costing me a promotion after an otherwise solid 4 rounds. Good luck out there everyone. A beautiful, fair course....perfect spot for the promo event in my opinion.

Good luck to the CC crew playing Masters clubs, I hope you get up to a league where you’re competing with others using the big boy clubs. Not competing in this event, it’s silly to want to go higher when you’re barely making cuts as it is - although I do envy the courses they play on Euro and PGA...

I'll definitely be making the attempt because I like the course a lot, and at this point, I miss so many cuts on Web, what would be the difference if I somehow made it to Euro and missed cuts up there? Plus, the admins I played with are getting separated at this point. Doyley has already earned his way to Euro, SmilingGoats and I are on Web but I rarely make cuts, and Tim has moved to the dark side (PS4). LOL! Let's see if I can catch lightning in a bottle.

Trying to make a run at PGA from the Euro tour here. Would probably be difficult for me to make cuts up there but hey, worst case scenario is I end up back where I am now ;-). Anyway, started out with a flashy -14 in round 1. Everything was working for me. The only putts I would want back were eagle putts. Hope to put 3 more solid scores up and see where I'm at. GL folks!

Played a couple practice rounds with the hopes of making a run at Euro or PGA...was just torching this course and didn't have a single round worse than double digit under par...especially killing the front with an average of -6 or -7. Felt good and played 4 very average rounds of -7, -9, -6, and -7 for -29. Last 2 rounds i was rage playing...just couldn't seem to get anything going...oh well can't fall from Web.

CC-E Player here, shot a -24 and feel pretty good about my game but I want to also mention I am using the Pro clubs and not Masters. I'm hoping to move up to one of the CC-Pro levels but what happens if I actually make it to the Web and played Pro clubs, do I defaul to the CC-A or am I disqualified and stay at CC-E?
