Magnificent course. The lighting, heavy rough and bunkers in particular make the visuals amazing. I was one under after 7 holes, but a run of bogie, par, bogie, DOUBLE derailed my round. Finished +4. And can't wait to play again! The greens and pins are pure evil! I like that you've made a "tour" version, which I would guess is the one that will actually go on "tour" and what would (personally) be a bit more realistic for a US open as well. Definitely like the brutal nature of this incarnation though! Not sure I'll ever play the tour version, because I'll feel like a wimp if I do! Thanks for giving it a try - and you're right on. The "MAJOR" version is extremely un-realistic to fit the nature of the game, and basically is designed to give the top TGCTours players the feel of a Major in terms of shot values and scoring, but to get a more realistic version, with hole locations that are more accessible and also greens that are much slower (allowing more green space on the putting surfaces), you'll want to give the "TOUR" version a try. This version was setup so you can play the same length for players on PGA, Euro and Web, but condition the greens softer and slower to make it a more realistic challenge for any of those tours. +4 not too bad dude! That's about the best I've ever played so far under competition conditions.

Took on the Sunday set as well. I'll definitely have to run it again when my form is better. I didnt really have a problem with the pins, even the impossible one because it will be equally impossible for everyone. I'm typically a fast player but this one is going to make me slow down Watching both those rounds back to back, and seeing how you attacked the course the second time after learning from the first was bloody brilliant. Probably better bring a 4i next time, although those f/f 5 were pretty unbelievable

I'm leading on PS4 with -4. I saw ways to plot your way around here, but I can't say too much as I'm judging the competition.

Update... -6. It's difficult to get these scores, I will admit that.

Update... -6. It's difficult to get these scores, I will admit that. I wish I could have watched you shoot these rounds. These are some great scores (I'm assuming these are near competition conditions with wind). I know there's a birdie to be made on every hole, but even when I've hit my perfect intended shots I haven't been able to do better than about even par, when the wind lays down.

Just played the Sunday pins; this really is a great course, good challenge.
The pin on 16, and 1 other I can't remember, feel "too much," for me- landing area too small, and/or putt too fast and goes miles past; but it's hard to feel too moody about it. We were warned!
I shot +2 and I really enjoyed the challenge!

I was playing using the official TGCT US Open conditions. It's a grinder.

The round I played last night was bugging me, so I went for pin 3 with the prescribed conditions. Found myself enjoying the course more (played in 13+mph winds last night), despite my very mediocre play (don't mention the lazy 3 putt on 17), and tried to just go through the round without letting all the mounded pins and other things irk me. Only thing that sticks with me after this round as something I disagree with is the fairway on 17 - are you trying to make us lay back off the tee on a par5? Wish that tiny sliver of fairway was sculpted to hold a driver, reward the accuracy and risk of the play, if you get what I'm saying.
Anyway, figured I'd record it for you since I'd been somewhat critical yesterday, I know I always enjoy seeing play-throughs of my courses. Please excuse the poor quality (could have sworn that I upped my vid resolution before starting, but YT is still showing it in 1990's SD) and at times poor play - was mildly distracted watching featured group coverage of the Masters, but just haven't been playing up to form the past week or more for whatever reason. Like I said last time, very nicely done course, certainly have controlled scoring. While I may not agree with the philosophy you've used to do keep scores closer to par than usual in certain situations, I can't argue that your way of going about it is anything but effective.
All that said, here you go, and again, best of luck in the contest:

Had such a fun skins match here yesterday. Really tough course but I love a challenge. Hole 12 is a stunner.

If karma4u isn't too busy I'd love to see his skills on some new shots of the course .

Played major version pin 3 with the advised conditions. Three birdies and a lone bogey for -2. Now for pin 4. Lovely course.
Pin 4 went -3 on the front but blew it with +4 on the back for +1 overall.
I would ratchet the wind up one more notch for the U.S. Open.

Great course. I love the difficulty and it’s how a major course should play. Some pins you can’t attack and you have to play safe. That’s how majors are set up. And the one thing I really enjoy is some pins you can only get at if you use a draw or a fade. Something I think should be a bigger part of this game. Golf is not just hitting straight shots at pins. I think more course should be designed with an emphasis on working the ball into the green. Great job.

I think you can get around for the most part without working the ball here, but to get close to some of those pins that are on the sides of slopes, it definitely helps to work the ball into the slope so it stops quicker. And a few of those pins that are hidden, like on 9 and 11 are easier to get to with some sidespin.
