This weeks course by sharky21 was first brought to my attention at the end of tgc2. I received a number of messages from different people asking me to use the course on the web. At that time, the schedule was full and there was no room on the tour, and I was relieved because I did not want to put Razorback on tour. When I saw the course was released for 2019, I was hoping it would pass by unnoticed, it was not to be, the messages flooded my in box again. I tried to resist, I replied that the course was not tour worthy( it is a fantastic course worthy of any tour). I said that Danny was a nightmare to deal with( he is a gentleman who has been a pleasure to deal with). I invented a new rule saying old courses can not be used during the new season( completely untrue as you all know). Eventually I ran out of excuses and even worse, I bowed to the pressure and added it to the schedule. In my role as scheduler here on the web though, I can not leave you guys play without a warning, without letting you know of the dangers. What follows is documentary footage of the area surrounding the golf course and the people that live there. Welcome to Razorback, play at your own risk.

So my +1 practice round wasn’t as bad as I’d feared?
Don’t like it.
Respect it, and could imagine the designer sitting there going ‘haha’ Nelson style every time I walked into one of his traps (not necessarily a bunker) or didn’t plan the hole from the green back. I guess Masters week is the one to bring it out on. Not a relaxing round at all, if you relax it’ll bite you on the a55.
Was going to take the week off because there’s Augusta to play on PGA, even if I don’t make the leaderboard, and TST, where I do, but some freak will still finish -40.
Will watch the scores with interest and maybe play later in the week like those filthy Canadians do.

I was one of the people that highly recommended this course, which I stand behind, and I am really looking forward to playing here this week. For the love of all things holy in TGC, can I PLEASE play all 4 rounds this week? Haha

Welp, found my mojo. Bogey free 63 (-8), and i parred all 3 of the par 5s. 100% short and medium putts helped, so did 41% on long putts. Can play a little better than that, but not much.
Played a practice round for r2, identical conditions. Had -8. Went straight in and shot a -1. -9 at the cut and sweating it no doubt. Again. Slid so many past the edge it was crazy. 2 birdies, one bogey, probably 30 putts. Makes the world of difference when you’re holing them...

Man this course was tough for me...those hard and fast greens with decently high winds and a bunch of long approach shots left me with nothing but long putts the first 2 rounds. Can't score putting from 20+ feet almost every hole. Luckily the par 5s i found to be relatively easy and that helped me a ton. Shot -5 first round and was -4 on the 3 par 5. Shot -4 second round for -9 total and seems like a stretch to make the cut unless a bunch of others struggle as i did on this course.

Hi Everyone. Finally demoted from the Euro tour. What a struggle that was! 19% cuts made! Hopefully I'll see a few more weekends here. I'm very busy at work and home so doubt I'll post much but hopefully I'll have a little more fun now.

*Disclaimer - Played assuming I’ve made the cut. I think -9 is safe. Only just, think it’ll be at -8 based on the scores up there now for R1.
Be nice to hear from you guys about your rounds. Nobody likes the guy who walks from the 18th green straight to the car park without hitting the 19th. This is our 19th Web folk. We may not be the elite, but playing here means you’re in the top few hundred in a game that a few thousand play week in and out.
3 putt bogey to start, then got my sh!t together and had a pretty good -5 (66) in tough winds. Still losing shots to the field with my short game off the green, but hitting enough greens now to give my streaky putting a chance. Strangely, adjusting my swing to feel more like 5.30 to 11.30 has sorted my tempo issues out. Thanks Eric for the original pointer re transitions, it got me back to basics. Feel like -5 hasmade me a couple of shots on the field, going to need a late ‘80s Greg Norman like charge to make a top 10.

4th round pins rely on luck.
No more fantasy courses please. I’d rather have RCR’s and the scores lower than play courses where luck is a fortune. Can’t be any more diplomatic than that. Played it 4 times, it got 1 Star.
Edit. +5. Finished -9. 7 bogies. Played poo, didn’t enjoy it at all, even when I played well. Too many shots rely on luck.

I think this plays way more fair than the past 2 weeks. Last week not only did missing by an inch mean a 30 foot putt, but always a 30 foot putt over red and yellow slopes. It was either perfect approach for a birdie, or you're 2-putting for par.
I finished first 2 rounds -15. It's too bad I cant handle the pressure of playing great. Folded like a cheap suit on the back 9 each round. My dog left the room after the 5th missed GIR in round 2. What a disgrace. I'm happy with the -15, but what could have been?

Good two rounds, the course plays fair but can catch people out. Quick word of warning, if red slopes are not your thing, might want to take a holiday next week, the red slopes at Killarney are scary but if you use them to your advantage, that feeling is something else.

Despite my lowly -1 in the opening round, I’ll always be a huge Razorback Ridge fan. I love this course.
