looks like I am going to miss the cut this week. If i continue to play the final two rounds and earn a score to get an exemption would i still receive it?

I think you do.
I played 4 rounds last week and earned an exemption despite MCing. The only round(s) that could've earned me that were 4th (58) or 2nd and 4th (61,58), so I do think it's worthwhile playing and posting all 4 rounds (unless of course it isn't supposed to work that way, in which case, mea culpa)
