I know there have been "favorite course" threads before, but what if we took the best of the best designs, ranked a field of 64 and had forum members vote on a bracket to determine the greatest TGC 2019 design, all in the spirit of March Madness?

Would be fun, but a nightmare to choose 64, rank them and throw them in a bracket.
Feel free to get it started though.

To find a fair ranking system, I broke down TGC Tours approved courses and seeded by:
1. Number of tournaments hosted 2. Number of "likes" 3. TGC 2019 Rating 4. TGC 2019 Plays
This system should offer some objectivity as well as maximize the number of people on this forum that have likely played the course.
I will have a PDF/PNG bracket finished shortly.
As for distribution... perhaps we can use free online polling and paste the link in forums and on social media, leaving round one open for a week, then paste an updated bracket and new poll and so forth.
Thoughts?

Hello all!
In the spirit of March Madness (and with a little bit of extra time ) I decided to create a tournament bracket with the top golf course designs in TGC 2019. To keep it as objective as possible, I only considered non-RCR course listed in the TGC Tours database with the pre-requisite of hosting at least one TGC Tours Event. I then came up with a rudimentary formula to rank the 170 eligible courses and determine a field of 64. The formula, in weighted order is as follows: Tournaments Hosted*100,000 + Rating*100,000 + Likes*10,000 + Plays. The rankings alone were interesting to see, but if anyone is interested, I thought it would be fun to do an online poll for the matchups to vote on the top design in TGC 2019. Of course, none of this is to insult any of the incredible designs, rather a light-hearted "fan vote" among the games best players and designers.
If this is of interest, let me know and I'll set up a poll for round one. I'm also open to suggestions on the best means of voting/polling.

All:
Here is the link to a survey that takes you through round one of voting with all 32 individual pairings --> s.surveyplanet.com/ki9M-vpqp
I'll leave this open for a week or so. Feel free to share this in other boards and threads on the forum to up the number of votes we get.
I'll circle back with the results when they're in!

ROUND TWO IS OPEN! Here is the link: s.surveyplanet.com/5FpiAJVLpSee updated brackets below... we had a few notable upsets (by seeding) in round one, but based on the nearly unanimous votes, they weren't really upsets, rather a correction on the seeding system! If you are new to this thread, the seeding formula, in weighted order is as follows: Tournaments Hosted*100,000 + Rating*100,000 + Likes*10,000 + Plays. TOP BRACKET
